Spyro 3 "All Life Bottles" FAQ

Q: What is this category?
A: The aim of this category is to break all 30 life bottles in the game, then defeat the Sorceress.

Q: Why aren't you waiting for Sparx to eat the butterfly?
A:Collecting the life from the bottle is not necessary, as it has no impact on whether the game sees the bottle as broken or not. If you break the bottle and re-enter the level, the bottle is gone, whether you collected the life or not.

Q: What is your PB?
A: I don't really have a real PB as of writing this. The 1:44:41 time you may see me comparing against is the final time of my test-run of this category. In this run, I made sure the route worked. I paused a few times to tweak my notes, and I used the 99 lives cheat as well. I would go back and retime the run with pauses included, but that wouldn't change the fact that I used the 99 lives cheat, so I won't bother. Either way, I hope to finish a faster run soon. I will, until then, keep my splits through Dino Mines, then change the final time to the 1:44:41 time.

Q: How do you know you're getting them all?
A: I don't, if I'm honest. There's very little information about the locations online. It'll have to come down to the community to tell me if I missed any.

Q: Are you collecting 100 eggs?
A: No, I only get 80 eggs in this speedrun. I need to enter Haunted Tomb and Dino Mines, for a life bottle. The requirements to enter these levels are 70 and 80 eggs respectively.

Q: Okay, what about gems?
A: None are required. If there was a life bottle in Agent 9's Lab, for example, I'd need 1300 gems.
