life update 9/9/22

Thought I’d write this to explain the (likely) lack of streams in the next few months. In short, I piled a ton of stuff onto myself. Possibly too much, but I’ll get to that later.

1. School started again. Still grad school. Still gonna be a pretty big workload, especially from November onward. Though it helps that we’re (finally) back in-person for good, so that helps with me paying attention and I shouldn’t have to rewatch any lectures (some classes aren’t even posting the recordings anyway).
2. Still teaching at church, typically every other week, which requires 10 hours of prep those weeks at absolute minimum.
3. Other misc based Christian stuff, most of which I don’t plan on giving up, but does take up a very large proportion of my time… playing in the worship band or being the A/V tech guy some weekends, youth ministry Fridays, three weekly(ish) Bible studies… yeah it’s a lot.

All the above I was doing last year though, and managed fine enough, but then I decided to add on like, a lot more.

4. For now still working at McDonald’s, continuing the job from the summer, on Sundays and Mondays. Really thinking I might quit soon though for multiple reasons.
5. Signed up for a weekly shinny league Friday nights, and then also agreed to sub for a university intramural team on Thursdays (not sure how much I’ll actually follow through on that second one).
6. Also planning to take up hockey reffing. Going to a local class to get certified on September 24, then already have a more informal league wanting me to ref their Saturday night games. Then also probably going to take up games within the Hockey Alberta system. Definitely don’t think I can do this and McDonald’s at the same time, which is why I’m probably going to quit as soon as it gets going. It pays pretty good too so I don’t need both jobs.

All this is to say… I might be insane, and will definitely not be streaming much in the next few months. I did join the KDL tourney already so there is that, but I doubt I’ll get far because I don’t have the time (or the motivation tbh) to make manips/practice/etc.

TP/Degen demo are still the focuses on the rare occasions that I might have free time but idk, at this point I know that doesn’t actually mean anything. Sorry Brady. The game I mentioned making with Deck back in May has barely gone anywhere since, though that hasn’t stopped him from regularly bugging me to make assets for it. Sorry Deck.

God save the queen btw. And if we’re lucky enough to get a day off because of that like Brady mentioned this morning, then all the better. I’m so tired right now man
