  7. VC MST route uses Adult Deku Stick but Adult Deku Stick causes crash on N64.
  8. So I made new MST route for N64 v1.0 which had 1080: https://pastebin.com/Amc9Msrw
  9. But it was 41 sec slower than previous N64 MST route: https://pastebin.com/ifW2h2yK

  11. Now, I improved N64 1080 Route and confirmed it's 31s faster than previous N64 route already.
  12. It could be wrong since it was rough timing and it's still slower than VC.
  13. But it has possibility that N64 would be faster than before at least.
  14. (EDIT) maybe it's nearly 1m faster by some improvements now. it's definitely faster than old route at least.

  16. For people who is lazy to read all, this route is like this...
  17. BotW Chus -> ZL, Go to Adult -> Shadow -> Bolero, Magic, Minuet -> Deku -> DC -> Spirit ->
  18. Fire to Hammer -> Forest -> Get FW, Enter Jabu and set FW -> Reverse KZ Skip -> Water, Watch CS, Fire Arrows ->
  19. LACS, Trials -> FW to Jabu -> Jabu WW to Volvagia -> 1080 -> Ganon

  22. -Goron Tunic Skip is really worth to do?
  23. Goron Tunic Skip requires 1/16 fire, using a fairy for fire trial and using a fairy for Volvagia.
  24. Or you could get a HC in Water and one more in Shadow/Jabu, but then taking damage for Jabu would be kinda annoying.
  25. It still could be faster but it wouldn't be big timesave. need timing.
  26. (EDIT) I timed Goron Tunic Skip but I think it's not worth to do.
  27. The fastest way for was like this: Shadow HC + 4 hearts Fire + Water HC + No fairy for Fire Trial but a fairy for Volvagia
  28. It's much harder but ONLY FEW SECONDS faster. so I still recommend to get Goron Tunic.
  29. -Duping over empty C is better than nuts slot?
  30. You need to replace fish some times if you use nuts slot and it causes some extra pause. need timing.
  31. (EDIT) I noticed that you don't need to dupe over a slot for fairy, you can sell bugs, buy a fairy and get fish at DMC grotto.
  32. It should be almost same speed but some extra pause for duping makes this way faster.
  33. -We can do Water CS Skip somehow?
  34. In another route, I had a idea for Water CS Skip which using the time after LACS.
  35. But it's bad for this route because you need to set FW in Water and need to go to Jabu again after Fire Arrows.
  36. There is another way to skip Water CS without losing time...?

  38. But it had many extra movements and 35 sec slower than original N64 1080 route, RIP.
  39. We need more decent way if we want to skip Water CS without big timeloss.
  40. -When you should savewarp for 1080?
  41. Ruto's CS works for Jabu WW but doesn't work for 1080.
  42. So I'm assuming savewarp after boomerang, but then the hearts becomes 3 and you need to take damage for Jabu WW.
  43. Is there better timing for savewarp or another way to fix cutscene pointer for 1080?
  44. (EDIT) I tested some stuff for this and found a way to fix cutscene pointer for 1080. Please read Jabu part for more detail.

  188. The actions in the first two rooms is really important.
  189. Because it changes cutscene pointer value and it affects WW.
  190. If you did different thing, it could cause crash/softlock.
  191. Or even if you did wrong thing accidentally,
  192. you can fix it by savewarp after boomerang.
  193. But don't forget that it wastes like 25-30 sec.
