- Two cops have to work together to bring down the Yakuza, while trying to protect a beautiful woman.
- Detective Chris Kenner was orphaned as a child as his father was in the service and was killed and lived in Japan. Now he is on the trail of ruthless Yakuza leader named Yoshido, who helped establish a small Japanese area in Los Angeles and is now running a drug ring disguised as a brewery. However, Kenner must team up with a Japanese-American detective named Johnny Murata, and he also must protect a witness named Minako who would testify against Yoshido. But what Kenner will soon discover that he will be in a lot more than what he bargained for.
- Extremely poor action film starring the ever wooden Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee trapped in a sidekick role that never seems to gel. The action is at best average, a bit of nudity chucked in and yes Tia Carrera does use a body double! <br/><br/>The set-up is the usual renegade cop forced to break in a new partner on a big case, the makers at least try to give the formula a twist making Lundgren the cop with Oriental values and Lee the modern city slicker but there is zero character development making it almost comical, Lundgrens oriental warrior outfit for the big showdown has to be seen to be believed. The action sequences are by the numbers and Lee(who would go on to make the excellent The Crow) is never given the scope to show off any particular martial arts brilliance. But given his illustrious parentage he must have been under a hell of a lot of pressure and was far better served not having to live up to his father by taking on a very different role in The Crow which showed what a unique actor he may have become if not for his tragic and early death.<br/><br/>Unless your a hardcore Lundgren fan or a fan of poor 80's style action movies (think Cobra etc.) then avoid.<br/><br/>Poor 3/10
- The '90s. What a lukewarm decade for martial arts movies but this one was the cheesiest of them all with cheesy, comic-book-style bad guys this side of Plan 9 From Outer Space with equally cheesy fight scenes and some "bareness" of former Wayne's World babe Tia Carrere. Oddly enough, a lot of teenage boys bought this movie just for that one scene alone(that's right YOU) which is worth the price of admission. In all personal fairness its "entertaining" in that morbidly nostalgic way.Perfect for those rainy days or when you're down and need a lil' lighten' up in spirits. You could do it at your own risk but I don't recommend this course of action if you're one of the clinically depressed.
- The Unrated Version runs approx. 20 seconds longer than the original R-Rated Theatrical Version and features some brief moments of nudity and some mildly prolonged scenes of violence. This Unrated Version is not available in the States but in several other countries, e.g. Germany.<br/><br/>The British Version is based on the Unrated Version but censored in three scenes in which a butterfly knife is used.
