Update 28/6/19

So I’m currently at work writing this, and it’s a very slow day and I have to be here for many more hours, so obviously I’m typing from my phone, so expert some typos or autocorrects!

With the disclaimer out of the way, I can get to the point. I feel like it has been a while since I’ve written a pastebin about my stream and my plans for it and the future and speedrunning and other content. So here goes nothing gotta kill time at work somehow right?
If you’ve followed my twitter and stream, you may have picked up on the fact that I once again dipped my toes into Counter-Strike on a competitive level again. We went to a few tournaments and played for a fair bit with mixed success, but ultimately, since I was the newest member of a team that has started to struggle, I was benched and replaced. Following this, I attempted to keep playing, created a new team but it didn’t last. So I’ve been wanting to return to my stream again and speedrun my games once more. I’ve genuinely missed my stream's community and the communities surrounding the games I play. So here I am. Back at it again.

Ive been known to maybe promise things and then not pull through (1 year quadfecta stream anyone?) and it will be tough for me to put forward promises to keep as it stands. My job demands many hours of my week and my schedule changes every single week, meaning there is no consistency. In result meaning I can’t have a schedule for my stream. It will just be whenever I can. Taking days off into consideration and you just have a scattered week with streaming.

However what I can promise is that I am gonna be running Sly games again. At first I’ll be focusing on Sly 2, as I’ve had a good time relearning and practicing it so far. Of course Sly 1 is a given, but I’ll out that on hold for the time being. Not too sure I’m mentally ready for that grind right now.

It’s been a long time since I was last at a speedrun event. Since Zenthrow just performed Sly 1 at this year’s SGDQ, I find it highly unlikely that Sly would get accepted for next year’s AGDQ. So I will likely focus on a different title to prepare for a submission by then. Maybe it’ll be a brand new speed game or maybe it’ll be an old familiar one. Not too sure yet.

So while I can promise very little concrete and set in stone stuff, I can promise that I’ll do my best to get my stream back to a level that I am happy with and hopefully attend more events to hang out with the community in person.

I really appreciate the people that have been missing the stream and have wanted me to be around still. I hope to do you well. I hope this will be the return.
