  1. Teaching to me involves being capable of fostering and nurturing the future of our society, showing an interest in what you're teaching to provide the utmost knowledge to your students. It will involve countless hours outside of the school environment doing constant study and adapting, marking of submissions from the day and getting the satisfaction that you've enriched the lives of the students you teach on a daily basis, but simply a teachers day is not over when the final bell rings out at the end of the day, it's a lifestyle.

  3. Every teacher is different in their own way, whilst in high school, I found myself far more drawn to subjects where the teacher was knowledgeable and enjoyed the subject they were teaching, this forms part of what exactly draws me to teaching as a whole and specifically towards the subjects I will look to study. Being able to do this, to me, is what sets a good teacher from a great teacher, setting the groundwork for the success of their students to excel and enjoy the subject being taught.

  5. As someone that has spent most of my current career in IT customer service performing the process of enriching and educating customers daily, I am constantly learning new processes. In doing so the foundation to become an effective teacher has been laid, on both a personal and professional level. My ability to quickly adapt and grasp new concepts will allow me to be incredibly agile with the way I educate students and provide them with the best knowledge they can obtain.

  7. From this, I've also become adept at honing my written, spoken and overall communication skills have assisted people of all ages, knowledge levels and competencies. On a daily basis I am interacting and teaching individuals the knowledge that I may have only found the answers to myself the day prior, being able to do this has made me incredibly effective in my line of work and will benefit me greatly in the future as education as a whole changes and moves year-on-year to better meet the needs of students.

  9. Learning to me is all about jumping in, there's no point waiting to have the information fall into your lap, it is often better to seek it out and gain an understanding before it can even be required. I find myself on a daily basis learning new concepts that I often have never come across before and seek to dive-in deeper to understand it in a wider sense than simply knowing the bare minimum to do a task, in my current career this is a constant for me and is something I consider a core component of what makes me such an effective learner.
