  8. Lysithea was spending her leisure time in one Sunday afternoon reading books at the living room when Hilda came after shower. Sometimes, though, Lysithea wondered whether walking out fresh from shower with draped wet hair and black halter underwear are considered a crime. Then again, Hilda is Hilda (is it really a sin to have a good body? Likely not) and this is their shared apartment. She can always go to the bedroom after bath naked and Lysithea would pay no mind.
  9.
  10. Scratch that, Lysithea will mind. Like right now. She simply forgot at what paragraph she was at, just by sneaking a glance to Hilda who’s in the middle of drying her hair. That Sunday is the only day she saw Hilda after so long only conversing during small time of dinner. Both of them are quite busy this month, pile of works one after another, and Sunday is a rare time when they can unwind.
  11.
  12. Hilda approached her casually, occupied the space of sofa right beside her. The pinkette’s weight sunk to soft cushion. Hilda propped her arms on the headrest, supporting her head as she snuck in closer to take a glimpse of whatever Lysithea is reading. It is amusing that Hilda would smell different even though they used the same soap, perhaps it is her expensive treatment shampoo or something that Lysithea didn’t know how to spell the brand. Hilda smells nice and it’s all there to it.
  13.
  14. Wait. She should focus to the book. Not Hilda. At least not today. Not now. Not yet. Maybe.
  15.
  16. “Oh, are you reading those Fifty Shades of Essar again?”
  17.
  18. “It’s not Fifty Shades of Essar, and, no, Hanneman would never write cheesy fiction.”
  19.
  20. “You might not know whether a boring-looking old man like him will secretly write a B-rated romance novel.”
  21.
  22. “I think I won’t believe it.”
  23.
  24. “Such loyalty! I’m jealous~” Hilda faked a pout, in which Lysithea knew she is immune with.
  25.
  26. “Now, scram. I need to finish this by today or I don’t have any more time to pick the book again.”
  27.
  28. As expected, however, Hilda read her deeper. The pinkette pried the book gently from Lysithea’s hands, placed it on the coffee table. Lysithea didn’t raise any objection, or biting back with resignation and anger, Hilda should have caught the sign from earlier. There is no benefit there on playing it hard or taking times to lie. Lysithea does admit she is not being direct sometimes, but not today. Then again, if Lysithea opted to deny, Hilda will return with evidence anyway, it only adds another jab of embarrassment.
  29.
  30. Hilda looked satisfied, “Hmm? So it is easy today.”
  31.
  32. The snow-haired woman folded her open hands to her stomach, she turned her attention fully to Hilda. It is rare to see her with her hair down, with less to no makeup, with a soft smile without any deeper meaning. Although, if there’s more meaning behind Hilda’s smile, Lysithea wouldn’t stop to try uncovering it.
  33.
  34. “It’s your fault for being so-”
  35.
  36. “Gorgeous? Pretty? Endearing?”
  37.
  38. Lysithea scrunched her forehead at Hilda’s attempt of another distraction, yet she finished with a smile. “-Irresistible.”
  39.
  40. Hilda turned red. It was when Lysithea smirked in triumph. She didn’t mean any teasing, initially. Still with embarrassment visible on her face, Hilda cupped her cheeks, took the initiative to capture her lips before anything. The towel fell from hanging around her neck as they kissed for some more. Small, flurry of kisses just ghosting each and others mouth, closing to their chins, almost slipping down to reach their necks next.
  41.
  42. Their pause was there for both to catch their breaths, to giggle at their mutual unspoken wants, brushing their foreheads and noses together before once again they reconnected.
  43.
  44. It is promised to be a better Sunday away from reading books, it seemed.
