- Anxiety and caution had become the norm among civilians after the retirement of All Might, even the bravest now traveled carefully. There were many reasons why, but the biggest was what the darkness would drag forth after his brilliant light had been extinguished. What started playing on the News just happened to be one of those dark creatures. A woman sat there, her red suit and matching lips a stark contrast to the blue background, her features contorted into mild disgust and outright worry as she spoke. "<i>Police have found ten bodies of both heroes and villains alike, what you can do to protect yourself and your family after these commercial breaks.</i>" The disgust only grew more as she flipped through the papers set in front of her, each giving a graphic image of the bodies, and she began to fret for her own children. If this was the world that All Might had left behind, she certainly hoped Endeavor would be able to stop this... it wasn't villain-y, it was outright chaos. A long exhale was given, before she was signaled to continue. Looking back up to the camera, her expression went entirely blank-- it was better to give this little news article no emotion, just in case the monster behind this was watching. "Police are baffled, as ten bodies were found in grotesque conditions. What is perhaps the most confusing is that the bodies are of five heroes and five villains. Detectives are calling the serial killer behind this 'Hangman', and have begun to question whether or not a city wide curfew should be set. Heroes and Police alike are warning citizens to not travel outside of your usual destinations, and to always travel in pairs. Currently there is one woman who has gone missing as of three days ago, Kana Yoshiba-- twenty years of age, disappeared around the Kanto Region and has yet to be found. If any information regarding either of these two is known please call the number displayed on your screen." The TV cut out, forcing the woman on the screen to disappear as a soft giggle entered the air; swinging feet planted firmly onto the ground as a young girl pushed herself up off the filthy couch she had dragged inside to build a makeshift home out of the abandoned warehouse she found just outside of town. It was rather perfect, to be completely honest, everything was going a little too well. With enough time, even villains that annoyed the ever living <b>fuck</b> out of her would disappear to keep away. She had become, essentially, an enigma. Turning her attention as a low groan answered her mirth, a brown brow hiked in question. Kana wasn't <i>technically</i> missing; she was just out with her <b>real</b> family~ "Onee-chan, you've become famous! Looks like your career as a doctor for both sides is over. That's okay, I'll provide for you! I'll make sure you're <i>well</i> taken care of. No one will ever hurt you again, just me and you!~ Doesn't that sound wonderful?" Kana didn't even try looking up, her head hung heavy enough for her chin to almost press against her collarbone, blood dripping from almost every orifice while her quirk <i>desperately</i> tried to heal the damage done. She hung on the wall by chains, a massive variety of cuts, bruises, and even a ruptured organ made it nearly impossible to move. <b>Kana did not know true pain until now. <i>This was Hell.</i></b> "Come on Onee-chan, answer me! It's not fun talking to myself, makes me feel crazy!" A shudder passed over her spine as the girl picked up a knife, letting the metal glide against the brick while she drew closer. "Looks like you healed your skin around your collarbone, that's good. Let's see.. what's next.. ah yes, that one raccoon boy touched your hands didn't he? Let's make sure that skin is removed, <b>you'll become purely mine by the time I'm done with you!</b>" Hot electricity burned up her arm while she screamed out, the knife firmly planted through her wrist to pin it into the wall behind her. No one would hear her, not this far out, yet.. wasn't she always alone in the end?
- One would say that it was a regular day for the grumpy retired old fox. Shooing off people from his shrine, eating breakfast and being just a grump. But no, today was different. Still getting the news via newspaper, he recently found out that there was a string of murders going on. Ten bodies were found. Five of them heroes and five of them being villains. Despite him not liking recent modern heroes or villains, he knew that they didnt deserve to die in such a gory fashion. "Keeeh...it's settled thrn, if these youngsters can't take the heat for this, then I'll step in.." he let out a sigh, only to think of a plan. But what could he do? He didn't want to step into the limelight, he needed...a disguise. Thankfully, his quirk was what he needed. "Fair enough, let's see if this old man can fool others once again." He swung his arm in front of his mirror, producing a single purple ghostly ember from his palm. With enough concentration, he placed his disguise as some decent looking hero, who looked like he graduated from the highschool. "Alrighty, I look very hip and young, if I do say myself." He gave himself a thumbsup. From there, he made it to where it all took place. "Hey! BEWARE VILLAINY, FOR I AM HERE! COME FORTH DO THAT MY MIGHTY FIST OF JUSTICE CAN PUNCH YOUR SORRY HINEY!" Oh please, let it work out, and if not, he would continue to yell out the same words over and over till something happened. -e-
- Even from outside the more civilized limits of the population, news tended to always land on the hero's agency. A fragment of him was always waiting for this moment to arrive during his progress of giving a few interns a wealth of experience. There were common moments when it would be just a simple task of subduing one villain or perhaps a crew. However, this was a more enigmatic approach that led the tall man to ponder. Nearly a dozen of people were murdered, all with their bodies left at a grotesque and inhumanely slain state. Of course, what tickled him the most was the fact that the casualty involved not just heroes, but villains. With one digit tapping against the fabric of paper as he read the details repeatedly, taking into account of any source of clues he could find, the conclusion was bewildering. Alone in the large corridor of the dojo, a soundless void haunted the room as his mind traced without distraction. His mission was clear and objectives set in stone. It was -c-
- time to get to work. As he neatly began to fold the newspaper into its delivered state prior to reading, he began speaking outside of his mind, as if briefing to himself. "I cannot afford to let Horikita and Nishi get in my way. I will have them continue their internship through an alternative mean. A villainous-- no, a monstrous act of this caliber is something I cannot risk them getting involved in. Yes, I should go and consult with others that may be becoming aware of the situation at hand." He was aware of the recommended action to which he spoke to himself, but it was an action that was not considered his forte. Horikita already knew well that he was not a talkative person, nor was he one to lend praise towards his comrades. These facts were true, but in the end, he was ready to fulfill his duty towards helping others. -e-
