- The Crucible Town Hall occupies an acre of open land on the northwesternmost periphery of its hub, adjacent to the town square. It is a two story mottled stone building of respectable size, the Hall's glass framed doors and Tudor arched windows allow for plenty of the day's light to enter. A massive dark brown tree of 200 feet roots itself behind the building, its leafy green limbs looming overhead. Subtle magical currents stream steadily into the tree, though the effect is so muted that even the magically keen might not sense it outside of close proximity. The sight of such a tree wouldn't be especially odd in The Forest, but it stands out plainly within the Town's hub.

- Emerging from dense forest, a group of men and women armored in steel reinforced leather armor could be seen marching in loose formation. Looks of anxiousness were on their faces, footsteps hurried. Their march was led by a white haired elder garbed in ornate green and yellow robes. The elder tugged at his beard, his eyes scanning the Town. Just what had happened here?
- Boetius had taken a troop of guardsmen out to practice in the forest earlier, before the sun had risen. He thought it essential that his guardsmen were unified and adept at fighting in formation. This was something he made sure to do on a weekly basis, though the specific day is irregular.
- They were out running drills a few miles deep into the forest when someone had spotted that large flying silhouette soaring in the sky from above. Furthermore, it was headed towards the Crucible Town! Was it a coincidence? Boetius considered the Crucible Town to be his foundation. It was alright if it made a bit of a ruckus, but if it completely destroyed the Town, then he'd be right back where he started 7 years ago. Thus, he'd canceled the session early and ordered an immediate return. Of course, to compare travel by foot and flight, flight is clearly faster. Accordingly, they've taken until now to arrive upon the current situation.

- As Boetius led the troop of agitated guards to advance towards the Town Hall, the scene was beginning to become clear to him. The being responsible for the earlier silhouette was a dragon? This information gave him pause, his emotions changing between caution and greed. In his old world, where even the beasts of common were sufficient to threaten the lives of equivalent cultivators, then what of beasts that carried draconic bloodline and those on par with it?
- A beast with draconic bloodline wasn't necessarily stronger than others of its kind, but the bloodline was a sort of guarantee to strength. Depending on the bloodline density, a beast might face little to no cultivation bottlenecks during its advancement. This also meant that beasts bearing draconic bloodline were also the targets of beasts and cultivators alike; A walking magical treasure to be had. Consequently, any draconic beasts that could survive such dangers were true monsters capable of dominating even those above their rank. Though Boetius didn't sense that sort of threat from it, he didn't have any intentions of taking that beast lightly. Even so, he couldn't stop his wishful thinking. Perhaps the Netherworld really was capable of birthing opportunities?
- With great effort, the elder managed to pull his eyes away from the dragon. He regarded the small gathering on his lawn warily. He recognized the one that had introduced himself as Odius, but no one else. Hmpf, were these the ones that had brought that dragon? The ones that Eldigan had promised would come? Though that new tree was curious, the fact that they hadn't taken further actions probably meant they weren't here to offend him. That, or he was walking into a trap, but either way he was unwilling to give up his foundations without a fight.
- With a cough, the elder infused Qi into his voice, making it audible for both those on his lawn and those in the Town Square. "Haha, I do hope you all weren't waiting too long. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

He knew that it was only a matter of time before Odius became a big name in the Netherworld, and Mitch was determined to try to ride the wave with him.
- As his resolve to impress Odius increased, memories of their first meeting flashed by. Didn't he tell him that he needed to prepare himself to face opponents like these? Although it wasn't great to go against his words, how could he impress him by cowering in his home? Regardless, it was his job to stand in defence of the Crucible Town when it was in danger.
- Waving a goodbye to his parents, Mitch dashed out with weapon in hand. Weaving between the streets, Mitch entered the Town Square, where he was greeted with the majestic sight of the white furred dragon.
