- [19:42] Lea Elisheva says, "Oh dear..."
- [19:42] Lea Elisheva asks, "Wanna talk about it?"
- [19:43] Rindou Sakamoto says, "..."
- [19:43] Rindou Sakamoto says, "I-"
- [19:43] Rindou Sakamoto says, "..."
- [19:43] Rindou Sakamoto asks, "How do you feel about Isaac?"
- [19:43] Lea Elisheva says, "I try not to feel about him too much."
- [19:43] Lea Elisheva asks, "Feel about him? Think about him?"
- [19:44] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Don't.. avoid the question."
- [19:44] Lea Elisheva says, "I don't like him."
- [19:44] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Then we can talk."
- [19:47] Rindou Sakamoto says, ".. They didn't care about me, Lea."
- [19:47] Rindou Sakamoto says, "They just wanted the sword I had."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "That's the first thing they all asked about-"
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Both Gehenna and Huangzhou."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "I made a trade with Gehenna to switch around the blades, hoping they'd see Elyon with mine and think I gave it away for nothing, but..."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "...."
- [19:48] Lea Elisheva says, "I'm... so sorry."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Either Reito, or Tahldrig told Isaac."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "He took it. By force."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "He took me.. somewhere else."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "It felt as dark -"
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Darker than Sors' home."
- [19:48] Rindou Sakamoto says, "I can't think straight since then."
- [19:49] Rindou Sakamoto says, "He just..."
- [19:52] Rindou shook her head, hands moving up to burrow in her hair.
- ".. He took everything for me. He called me weak when I failed to defend the shrine against Sors, untrustworthy— he said I left with him willingly like I had a choice between watching that dream crumble and everyone else die or have the assault stop. I...
- ... I can't even luck out with an important key— he had to mess with my mind and threaten my life.
- And everyone is still loyal to him. They're two-faced. They're liars. Reito, Calista— they pretend like they care but I can hear it. I can hear their conversations and... I know they don't give a shit about me. That they care about him.
- I can't do this anymore.
- I wish I could be like that man; so that no matter what I say people keep loving me."
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:56] Lea listened to Rindou's story, patiently and carefully, and by the end of it, Rindou would hear... sniffling? Lea actually began crying from what happened to Rindou, finding it so cruel and heartless.
- "I wish I could've done more. I wish I could've helped."
- Wiping the tears off her face, Lea looked Rindou in the eyes, despite the fact that the other girl was wearing a blindfold.
- "I'm so sorry, Rindou. But... I still really like you, for what it's worth."
- She knew it'd be futile, but felt it necessary to at least try to reassure Rindou that she was loved.
- (Lea Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:04] ".. but you didn't."
- The tables were turned all of a sudden. There was... a lot of changes that had happened to Rindou along the way; being blinded was merely one of them. A loss of hope, will, and belief in the rest of the world was what hit her the hardest. And she was out for revenge. She was out to get back at the world for dealing her such a poor hand.
- "You didn't show up. You didn't save me. You're not.. you're not even going to do anything about Isaac stealing from me! You just don't really care either, you wanna care, but you don't. People see you like you care, they all say Lea's their angel, or that Lea's the best, whatever-
- They don't even realize how strong you are, too. And for what? To just... sit there and pretend like you care about me?"
- Rindou's nature was being blown forward.
- "You'd prefer if I were someone else. Someone who didn't disagree with Isaac, who stayed out of trouble, who didn't get taken away by Sors, who wasn't a known traitor according to the rest of the world. That's why they betrayed me so easily. That's why they got the blade back without thinking twice.
- That's why no one stopped Isaac, again. They hate me. And you... probably do, too."
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:11] Rindou's outburst did little to quell the sadness, but she was given some very, very important things to think about. And some of it was on point; Lea really did have a lot of trouble fighting for the sake of others, and fighting to protect them. She preferred to bring people together after the damage was gone, but... that wasn't enough, sometimes.
- Rindou is just more proof of that.
- Even after all that, Lea simply and calmly restated what she had been saying all along, with a bit added at the end in response to the last part of her rant.
- "I just want you to be okay, and I just want you to be Rindou."
- "To me, you're okay the way you are, and okay as the person you are."
- (Lea Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:18] "I don't want to be okay. I want to be good. I want to be great. I want to feel happy, not just okay. I..."
- Her hands moved down from her head, she stood up, practically kicking the chair behind her, sending it crashing into the wooden separators.
- "I want my life to be better than this! I want people to... to look at me. To like me. To enjoy me. To love me. To flirt with me-- even if I'll shut them down. I want... I want to be valued. I had a key that made me important, but Isaac took that away. Sors ripped apart all the light inside my heart, everyone else betrayed me.
- I'm the problem.."
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:24] Even the sudden display of aggression didn't do much to shake Lea. She was resolute and firm in everything she did, calmly listening to what Rindou said and thinking about what to say. It didn't take her long to come up with a response, though.
- "I enjoy your company, and you're not causing me any problems."
- There wasn't a hint of insincerity in her voice. Lea was keeping it simple, direct, and sweet, rather than trying to dissect her whole problem at once.
- "You're important to me, no matter what you are to anyone else."
- Lea knew that one person liking Rindou wouldn't be enough to help her, but she wanted to prove that at least someone did. And Lea did like her.
- (Lea Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:26] Cordelia I. Avitus says, "....."
- [20:29] "Then why? Why'd you left me out there to rot? Why did you never visit? Why are you gonna go back to sit on that stupid bench and wait for the end of the world while your uncle endlessly torments me?
- I'm not important to you, I'm just convenient."
- Harsh words that held quite some backing to them and a lot - a lot of pain. Resentment, jealousy, hatred, sadness. Lea wouldn't be able to see the look in Rindou's eyes but it was all there.
- "I wish my life was as easy as yours, but I don't have wings to take flight and soar above the world like you."
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:31] I wish my life was as easy as yours.
- Lea gave Rindou a gentle, warm, and accepting smile, but the words that came out of her mouth could be interpreted in so many different ways that it was impossible to tell what she was actually feeling.
- "I wish your life was as easy as mine, too."
- (Lea Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] She blinked, landing on the carpet.
- "Why are you bothering Lea?"
- (Cordelia I. Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] There it was. Her point was made. There was... nothing else to say. At the end of the day Lea's desires could only match Rindou's; no solution was offered aside from repeating over and over that things would get better, that she wasn't alone, all the while not doing anything to help things.
- That was it.
- Lea wasn't the type to actively go against the noblewoman, no. She was a silent watcher. Someone who's lack of disapproval made it an approval.
- The woman aimed to storm out, bumping straight into Cordelia on the way.
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] Lea Elisheva asks, "Do you want my help?"
- [20:34] As Rindou aimed to walk right into her, the agitated Dhampir did what she typically did. She grabbed the Swordswoman by the neck and tossed her back down onto the floor.
- "No. Bad Huangzhou lady."
- (Cordelia I. Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:37] Rindou instinctively reached up for the incoming grasp, aiming to judo flip the maid over her shoulder when she reached out for her. She may be blind, but she still had a sense of touch and strength to back it up.
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:41] Rindou brought her ferocious opponent to the ground, turning things around despite her obvious disability.
- "Get out of my way."
- And with that, she moved towards the exit.
- (Rindou Sakamoto)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:42] Cordelia I. Avitus says, "Did that blind chick just-- Okay."
- [20:42] Cordelia I. Avitus says, "Well."
- [20:42] She got up, dusting herself off,
- "Don't be mean to Ael, she's just trying to help you and your blind ass."
- (Cordelia I. Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:43] Lea Elisheva says, "Well."
- [20:43] Lea Elisheva says, "Okay."
