The Earth is threatened by a powerful creature who destroyed 70% of the Moon with its power, rendering into the shape of a crescent moon forever. The creature claims that within a year, Earth will also be destroyed by him, but he offers mankind a chance to avert this fate. In class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, he starts working as a homeroom teacher where he teaches his students not only regular subjects, but the ways of assassination. The Japanese government promises a reward of ¥10 billion (i.e. 100 million USD) to whoever among the students succeeds to kill their teacher, whom they have named "Korosensei" . However, this has proven to be an almost impossible task, as he has several inhuman abilities at his disposal, including the capacity of moving at Mach 20.
After a mysterious creature resembling a sentient octopus blows up the moon he threatens to do the same to the earth within a year if a seemingly arbitrary classroom of students cant assassinate him before then, while he attempts to teach them as an ordinary sensei.
I have to say, I was literally blown away by the whole story. I mean, you would never expect a &quot;joker face&quot; smiley alien to become such a role model for the class of 3-E. Like he was planning to destroy the world if he didn&#39;t get killed at the end of the year but the rest of the class became so attached to him that they didn&#39;t want to kill him at all! He really did everything for them like he did want his students to have bright futures for themselves and of course they did! <br/><br/>I thought in the last season of episode 45, was absolutely tearjerking and heart breaking,I didn&#39;t want Nagisa to kill him but he had to since he was the student leader of the class. When Koro-Sensei called out the roll of each students names for the last time, I was trying my hardest to fight back the tears and I could&#39;ve sworn the voice actor was trying hard to fight back the tears too! Then when Nagisa killed after the roll call, everyone was crying so hard and as the viewer, you just felt sick to your stomach. I was really devastated that Koro-sensei was killed and like regardless if he was a fictional character or not, throughout the series you get so easily attached by him with his humour. Except for the killing bit, I wish I was part of class 3-E because like Koro Sensei kept them all together as friends even if they going about their own ways! <br/><br/>I never expected to enjoy and cry to this wonderfully weird anime, I&#39;ll give it a 8/10!
I have no idea what the reviewers below were watching. Perhaps they are all 8-13 year olds... I dont know. But this is a very sad anime that goes no where and does nothing for at least the 1st 17 episodes. I gave up on it.<br/><br/>This anime is basically all about tropes and cheesy dialog between kids. Its the definition of generic. If you look up how to create generic characters and used them all in one show, you will have this anime. Each character is the most bland, soulless copy of a character you have seen before but the weakness of this show it does not focus on story so nothing ever develops and no one cares about any of the characters. They use a new character every episode as the teacher helps them overcome their weaknesses. In between they throw in a few action sequences and a big boobed blonde to hold your interest. This is how you know the show is garbage.<br/><br/>There is no story development in this show. Its just a mini coming of age story multiplied by the number of students in the class. Its not funny in the least.
