- I feel Miami Vice in one hour had more excitement, action and cool dialogue than most of the current day full length feature movies! The music always added to the action & suspense with the song's lyrics adding a commentary to the plot. e.g.- "There's a River" in Down For the Count and "In the Air Tonight" - Brother's Keepers. There was also always enjoyable humor with Izzy & Noogie to lighten the suspense.<br/><br/>There is talk of an up-coming Miami Vice movie and who would play Crockett & Tubbs.<br/><br/>I would like to see a 2 hr.T.V.movie in which Crockett is now a Private Investigator in the Keys, gets abducted and Izzy finds out, calls Stan, who contacts Tubbs in N.Y. He comes down to rescue his buddy and the action takes place in The Keys & Miami with most of the original cast. No need for new actors.<br/><br/>Some script writer-- Please make my dream come true!<br/><br/>Tony D.
- I admit it. I watched Miami Vice for its entire five-year run. It was a good show. Detective James "Sonny" Crockett worked alone. He lived on a sailboat guarded by his pet alligator Elvis. Crockett usually investigated the Miami drug trade solo. Then Ricardo<br/><br/>Tubbs, a black New York cop, enters the picture. He's in Miami for revenge. He wants his brother's killer. The look was very casual<br/><br/>with white pants, jackets, and pastel shirts. There was even an electric razor to give you the Miami Vice look. It was called the<br/><br/>Miami De-Vice razor. In short, when Miami Vice was on, stubble<br/><br/>was in.

In the series finale, Freefall, Sonny leaves the yacht for the last time and Elvis is nowhere to be seen. We can assume that Crockett turned his pet over to the fish and game authorities or to a local zoo or wildlife park to live out the rest of his years. No, the black convertible driven by Crockett and Tubbs was in actuality a Ferrari "kit car." At the time in 1984 the producers and NBC didn't want to pay the auto maker for legal rights to use a real sports coupe.
