Runa Gilchrist (WIP) The Hex

Runa is a 27 from Washington D.C and didn't spend much time in the Radio Free Zone except as a kid on summer vacations and occasional holidays.

She has long black hair which she wears down, with a chive green long sleeve shirt length tunic and black flared cloth pants. She wears canvas close toed flats, but switches to some good outdoor boots when she heads out. She has sharp blue grey eyes as if she's trying to figure out what you're not saying.

One day she finds out through a letter she's inherited her grandmother's bed and breakfast. Her parents are not interested in it and she decides she wants to figure out if the rumors about her grandmother being a witch were true. Her grandmother would always fill her head with these stories about things in the forest or amazing feats of magic but she would return home getting them shaken out of her head by the "normal" world. She wants to write a book about her experiences to capitalize on it initially but also to figure out the truth.

When she gets there, she will end up uncovering the tome her grandmother used for her magic.

Runa is very inquisitive and wants to know everything about everyone. She's the fish out of water in the town, but she also has nobody to guide her on this magic stuff. She's also a major control freak, wanting to know what everyone is doing and feels like there's more to just a basic "hello". Once she finds out she can do this magic stuff, she starts trying to figure out if everyone else is hiding some magic ability or cryptid stuff. It is probably for the best she has no access to social media in the Radio Free Zone.

However, if you turn the tables on her, she's super closed off. She doesn't want anyone to know much about her. It doesn't help that everyone remembers her as a pretty cheery and silly kid and has her Grandmother's shadow over her, and now runs the bed and breakfast.

The bed and breakfast is a little ways from the main part of towns, maybe down a side road of a main road? It holds up to 3 rooms for guests, a master room for Runa, fit with a hidden library, a smaller house next door that the staff stay in, and a general lounging area with a roaring fireplace that has some mild cafe stuff for people who want to duck in for a cup of coffee. Might end up becoming an unwittingly meeting place for everyone.
