There are no shortage of issues in the modern world but compared to any utopia its a wreck. Compared to the rest of the world and the plight of other societies in history we are doing great and should be very happy. Postmodernists dont have a shred of gratitude for the despair over history that led us here. We live in the best of times in history. Western culture has created the vast wealthy we enjoy today, including the complex computers and phones we're using right now. Postmodernists find their drive in resentment and arrogance despite being bathed in wealth. Postmodernists dont believe in the individual, thats the logos phallogocentric. Logo is logos, thats the root word of logic. They believe that logic is part of process by which the patriarchal instustutions of the west express their domination. They dont believe in dialog; the root word of dialog is logos again, they dont believe that people can come to a consensus by the exchange of ideas. They think that notion is part of the philoshophical substructure and practises of the dominant culture. This is exactly why universities dont let opposing ideas speak on campus. Its not part of their ethos. Since you dont have identity, you are group centric. Youre an example of your gender, race (white privelege), or sex or enthinicity - or however one can find a way to be classified as a victim of the oppressor. And that's the game! Its a post maxist sleight of hand.

 Student unions preach this shit and so do university boards and professors in the liberal arts. Also the humanities and much of social sciences have become a playground for these ideas where students learn to hate the capitalism that pays for their school, teachings, and right to think freely. The scholarship is a joke, 80% of humanities papers aren't cited once. The only ones who buy them are libraries which are also publicly funded. Its a money loop of marxism right in our own country.
