History of Character: (Summary) Syracuse was born the unwanted child of unknown parentage. Left at the doors of a monastery of the Grey Church. The caretakers of the monastery took in the young Neries, raising him in cloistered seclusion. Teaching him the Tenets of the Grey Church in the hopes he'd someday take up the word. It was not a life of comforts, nor one of excitement, the days blending together in the monasteries grey walls. It was a suffocating environment to grow up in for the Neries, it'd leave behind an intense desire for freedom in his later years.

After experiencing a vision when he was sixteen the young Neries escaped the monastery, boarding a ship bound for Dawn in search of his freedom. His arrival in Dawn was uneventful, merely being another face in the crowd. However, it didn't take him long to get a lay of the land. In quick succession he squired himself to the Red Paladin Chroma Zanders and utilized his training to become a Deacon of the local branch of the Grey Church. His next step was to apprentice himself to the Undead Moon Knight Perseus Kang. Pledging a supply of mana in exchange for lessons in the brilliance of the Cosmos. In all cases he'd declared that these things would happen and worked to make them so to those involved.

After he'd gained a connection with Crafthold and Dawn, he went north to Obsidia. Here he befriended the younger generation of the Invidia family. Gaining good standing within the settlement, it was here where he spent a good deal of his time. For the first six years of his time in freedom he'd spend it trying to revive the Church and working to impress his Paladin.

However, after being passed up for a knighthood in favor of Oscuri who'd been in the legion for less time. The embittered Neries declared to his Paladin he would do something of note. Marching into Huangzhou he openly challenged an Officer of the Fourfold at one of their towers. The battle ended in his defeat in capture. Currently he's been imprisoned within Huangzhou's jails. Chaffing under the loss of his freedom.

As well as a clear willingness to risk his life in exchange for excitement. The scene with Xog is to show that he was willing and eager to try something others would have shirked from. A follow up on the pact with Perseus Kang, showcasing that Syracuse was wholly willing to risk himself and his well being in the act of honoring his dealings. I included this one specifically because it showcased that there was someone behind the apparent chaotic Neries willing to stick to their word.

This is a rather chaotic scene, involving a great deal of people. The basis is that there is a great deal of conflict around the raising of the Rosenkruez children. This scene showcases that even though the majority of people involved stood against the childrens existence. Syracuse stuck to his guns and openly stood by them, literally offering his axe if it was needed.

Another showcase of living for the experiences. In this Syracuse engages a demon in the art of dance. Attempting to explain it to the being so that they could enjoy the thrill of it themselves. As well as engaging in a dancing competition with an Oscuri who challenged him. All in a grand bout of revelry.

This one is an event in Haungzou actually, against the Ghoul King. Now at this time Syracuse is a member of the legion, a citizen of Dawn, and a Neries. He willingly decides to travel to fight this host due the undeads wanton slaughter of innocents going against what he believed was the Tenets of the Church. It's a showcasing that his beliefs transcended the risks of personal harm or the risk of being ostracized from his community.

A brush with death. Namely due to Syracuse's desire to try new things. In this scene he willingly feeds the Vampire Donovan Invidia because he'd never experienced what it was like to feed a Vampire before. Again, searching for sensations.

His introduction to the Sunyata technique and disgust with it as it'd robbed the victim of his choice to pursue the Occult. It showcases some of his internal thoughts regarding the act of robbing someone else of their freedom.

This is a self-rp, tying together his growing understanding of what it was that was worth valuing and connecting his own imprisonment to the suffering of Belial. It's meant to serve as a sort of spiritual awakening as he connects the various dots of his experiences together to come up with a plan for what to do.

The first convert, note this is just the culmination. Syracuse had been convincing this character the entire time he was in jail. At first they simply derided and berated his lessons, they actually got arrested trying to gain access to the prison to listen to him. As it's closed off to civilians.

Plans: I intend to blend the beliefs of the Grey Church, Azrealism, and the Lifestream together in order to forge a new Belial Cult. I intend to do so by connecting the various rogues together at first. As well as using my already established IC connections to gather information within the established factions.
