Caillou-Colline

- Introduction -

One of the area located at the fringes of Grast, it is the home of the Addams family who runs Nestre company. It is located quite far from the nearest airship port at the satellite city of Croire-riziere. Caillou-Colline has a rugged mountain terrain, yet the many ranches and its supporting units run efficiently; at least according to the public reports of Nestre company.

Nestre company is the de facto and de jure 'ruler' of Caillou-Colline, with products of raw and processed meat, by-products of leather, glue, and soap; and some production of cosmetics. Local farms are managed to support the livestock first and the people second, adding the feel of iron grip of the company to the local folks.

The mountains and hills of the areas are devoid of any notable riches, mostly just coals and casual irons to support local industries. A hint of copper also can be found, yet it is still untapped and not processed.


- Threats -

The fringe regions outside its border are several small islands, with two of them connected by a massive bridge each, just like many of Grast's islands. Legends have it that sinister orcish tribes outran one part of the frontier just next to the city decades ago. Fortunately the Orcish raids are manageable due to the local goblinoids kept the Orcs in check, or the infighting of Orcs helped a lot - at least according to Nestre company reports. The other area is said to be filled with undead monstrosities.

However, recent rumors spreading that Blue Breaker monsters reached the border, and these monstrosities seemed content to leave the Orcs, Goblinoids, and Undeads. They seemed to poise their fangs towards the city, guarded only by a ragtag militias and weak local Royal Air Guards.

To make thing worse, scouts and rangers claimed to have seen that the Goblinoids and Orcs joined hand and preparing for an assault, maybe some time in the future.


- Rumors -

With the constant Orcish raids for decades or even centuries, according to several local historians, the population of Half-Orcs are quite high. However, it seems there have been growing bad rumors about them, including their rage fit tendencies, their stupidity, and their outrageous demands of 'Half-Orc Lives Matter'; despite them treated better than other regions (according to Nestre company). Further, there have been many scholars outside the city, or even at Glyphrock, who wrote reports regarding the slavery of Half-Orcs at the region, for work and for fodder.

And the situation is only worsen by the recent death of Addams family head, thus the leadership of the Nestre company along with the region is passed down to the heir and scion: Avel Addams.
