  1. <Buck_DM>: [Lets just skip the boring part wherein a phone call from lazy police happens and get to arriving at mansion]
  2. <Wrong_Way>: [alright then. wanna be our ride, greene?]
  3. <Greene>: [time for another ride in the greene machine]
  4. Greene drives on into the driveway of the mansion, stepping out of his ride which may or may not be stylin depending on the writer
  5. Wrong_Way gets out of the car as well. He hopes he doesn't get another lecture about how much Greene loves this car.
  6. <Greene>: "This is the place" he says, looking around
  7. Pete is already there, leaning on his car. He walks over to meet Greene and Wrong_Way
  8. Greene looks over to Pete "And this is our partner for it"
  9. <Buck_DM>: The mansion is mostly worn down a few broken windows but the grounds them self are sprawling dark grey paint and crackling towers dot the premises, ever read The Fall of House Usher? Looks like that dump
  10. Pete is some average joe looking guy, light brown hair as long as the force will allow him to grow it over a young-looking face, and clearly inexperienced just be looking at how he holds himself.
  11. Wrong_Way nods to Pete "It's nice to meet you sir."
  12. <Pete>: "I've seen you folks on the news, S-men. I'm officer Pete, I'll be your guide today."
  13. Pete looks over the notes he's taken
  14. <Pete>: "Female perpetrator, no mask, black dress, short hair, about 6'2 160 lbs we guess, armed and highly dangerous, not a mutant but handle situations with a moderately high threat level presumption."
  15. <Pete>: "She seems like she might know what she's doing, whatever's going on in there. Figured it'd be safest to call you guys /before/ the place went in flames."
  16. <Greene>: "I see. The name's Robert Greene, senior s-man and /not/ the kind that ends up burning down places" he shakes his hand "Lets get started"
  17. Wrong_Way looks to the shody mansion. "Looks like we already been beat."
  18. <Pete>: "The mansion's been abandoned for decades, and nobody followed ehr in. She's been in there for 20 minutes."
  19. <Buck_DM>: Several police officers have formed a blockade around the building and seem to be scanning the outside
  20. Wrong_Way wonders if he should introduce himself, but he's now worried he might be the kind of guy who burns down places.
  21. <Wrong_Way>: "Alright then..." he says, hoping to move the conversation forward.
  22. <Greene>: "Proceed with caution, then?" he adjusts his glove
  23. <Greene>: seeing as I got preptime I got to bring the armor~ http://postimg.org/gallery/2drnuxvs/baaa9712/ ]
  24. <Pete>: "Extremely. The place looks like it's falling apart already, and she hasn't been responding to any of our deal-making. She could be setting traps for all we know."
  25. Pete looks over Greene's armor
  26. <Pete>: "You... trained in hand-to-hand?"
  27. <Greene>: "Best practitioner of CQC around these parts, so yes"
  28. <Pete>: "Glad to have a guy like you helping us out then, sir."
  29. Pete extends his hand for a shake
  30. Greene shakes his hand
  31. <Pete>: Greene can feel a somewhat noticeable, but not particularly noteworthy tingling sensation in his head as they shake.
  32. <Buck_DM>: There is a loud crash from the east facing side of the building
  33. Pete looks back to the bulding
  34. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh boy."
  35. <Pete>: "I think that's our signal, folks."
  36. <Greene>: "And here we go"
  37. <Pete>: "Would you prefer to lead the charge, or should I?"
  38. <Wrong_Way>: "Only if you don't want to see Greene woop this girl's butt." he says
  39. <Greene>: "Lets assume its a race and go ahead"
  40. Greene heads on into the building and motions for the two to follow him
  41. Pete keeps pace behind
  42. Wrong_Way follows closely behind Greene
  43. <Buck_DM>: The large front door is already slightly ajar upon entrance the foyer of the building is massive long tall wiry windows are decorated with dusty curtains and the floor is a series of repeating brown tiles showing various constellations dust is gathered everywhere a set of foot prints can be seen in the dust layer leading upstairs
  44. <Buck_DM>: A pair of black high heels have been dropped by the entrance discarded by their former wearer
  45. Pete takes his gun out of the holster and holds up a finger to his mouth (the shush motion), beginning to quietly follow the footprints in the dust
  46. Greene inspects the shoes, then follows pete similarly ready. His footsteps are padded, don't make a sound
  47. Wrong_Way carefully walks behind the two as they go into the mansion
  48. <Buck_DM>: advancing further into the room a creak can be heard from the floor above them
  49. Wrong_Way hears the creak and adjusts his walking to be more sneaky
  50. Pete stops and without looking back motions for the two to do the same, he looks up.
  51. Pete whispers under his breath "Stick together, but keep your eyes peeled. I don't function well on solo missions."
  52. <Buck_DM>: the pounding of foot steps can be heard above them as someone dashes to the other side of the house
  53. Greene stops dead in his tracks, inspecting around the place. He reaches into his belt o tricks, taking out his thermal visor to give him a better sight
  54. Wrong_Way nods and looks around the mansion for a second to take in the sights.
  55. <Greene>: "Get lets move on upstairs, see if we can catch her up there while she's panicking like this" he whispers
  56. <Buck_DM>: As you follow the foot prints up the stairs you round the corner reaching the second floor just in time to see a tall feminine figure dash across the thresh hold and slam a door in the hallway shut behind her
  57. Pete me motions for him and Greene to take point on both sides of the door and for Wrong_way to hide behind a nearby furniture piece
  58. <Buck_DM>: The mansion is decorated with dark browns and stark whites, it doesn't seem to have been inhabited for a long time yet as you advance sets of less fresh foot prints begin to appear the deeper you advance in
  59. <Buck_DM>: Perhaps not so abandonned after all
  60. Pete creeps up to the left side of the door, putting his back against the wall
  61. Greene goes on ahead, his footsteps completely silent. He heads up to the door, swiftly opening it at the ready
  62. Wrong_Way goes to stand behind somewhere where he won't block the two by the door.
  63. Pete immediately turns to look inside the room, holding his gun at the ready
  64. <Buck_DM>: the sound of furniture scraping goes as you approach the door greene opens it but it stops after a foot a large dresser appears to be in the way
  65. <Pete>: [is it open enough to get in?]
  66. Greene looks back to the other two, he motions for them to stay at this door. He looks down the same hallway for a door that could lead into the room the woman is in
  67. <Buck_DM>: You can barely enter
  68. Wrong_Way whispers to the two "You want me to take care of it?"
  69. Greene looks over, nods to him
  70. Pete goes back to back against the wall, looking towards the doorway
  71. Wrong_Way feels good about being the team's reality warping buddy. "The door /is/ blocked." he whispers
  72. <Buck_DM>: The door is now able to open
  73. Greene opens the door, gun at the ready
  74. Pete looks to the next room, pointing his gun inwards
  75. Wrong_Way decides he'd be most useful waiting outside.
  76. <Buck_DM>: A woman stands in the center of the room, she appears to have thrown some tights and shoes on over her dress also a thick wool pea coat and a single suitcase sits next to her the room seems to be dusted cleaned and arranged as living quarters
  77. Pete stands up and tall and confidently points his gun at the woman with a steady hand and an authoritative voice.
  78. <Pete>: "Police. Hands in the air."
  79. Greene stands at the ready as well, covering any areas she could try to escape from
  80. Wrong_Way peers in from one of the doorways to see if they got her cornered
  81. *** Buck_DM is now known as Perp
  82. Perp slowly raises her hands and puts them gently on the back of her head]
  83. <Pete>: "Where I can see them."
  84. Perp puts hands on back of head
  85. Pete takes a step forward, lowering his head to he can fire at a moment's notice. At least he's still got proper trigger discipline.
  86. <Pete>: "I need to see the palms of your hands."
  87. Perp slowly turns around hands now up palms facing them
  88. <Pete>: "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law."
  89. Pete begins strafing to the side to be on the opposite side of the room as the door, in order to have the woman flanked from both ends. Gun never strays away from the woman.
  90. <Perp>: Has a bob cut of black hair and fairly pale skin her eyes are an incredibly pale shade of green, her lips are painted black and blush on cheeks and makeup gives her an almost doll like appearance
  91. <Pete>: "Can the kid warp my handcuffs onto her?"
  92. <Greene>: "Sure thing" he motions for Mark to come in
  93. <Greene>: "She makes a move while he puts on the cuffs, there's the two of us"
  94. Wrong_Way enters the room "No problem." he says, stretching a bit.
  95. <Perp>: Even so just looking at her you all get an unpleasant yet familiar feeling which would be most equatable to breaking a rule set by ones parents or disappointed a jolly old holy man a gut instinct that you have done something bad
  96. <Perp>: Guilt
  97. Wrong_Way tries to avoid looking at her. He looks at the floor as he mumbles "Uh...the lady /isn't/ in handcuffs."
  98. Pete is rather used to such feeling, what with being a cop ina crazy new mutie-filled world. He suspects it's because he's staring at this woman when he's trying to win the heart of the girl a few apartments away from his own during his free time.
  99. <Perp>: Her face doesn't change now cuffed she looks down at her suitcase and looks up again
  100. <Perp>: "I understand"
  101. Greene still has the whole deal of his own birth that comes back to him, an unpleasant non memory of his mother dying that Ruth and now this woman has tried to use against him. He's been trained for this, though, and will not falter
  102. <Pete>: "What's in the suitcase, ma'am?"
  103. Pete holsters his gun and fiddles with the handcuffs to ensue they're properly secured.
  104. Wrong_Way feels his heart's being crushed a little, trying not to think of things he feels bad about and just focuses on looking at the floor in front of him.
  105. <Perp>: "Clothes"
  106. <Perp>: "Personal Planner"
  107. Pete gives the perp a push forward as he begins escorting her out of the room, motioning for Greene to pick up the suitcase.
  108. Greene takes the suitcase
  109. <Pete>: "What brings a lady like you to a place like this?"
  110. Greene quickly opens it as to check what is inside
  111. Perp budges barely then begins walking out of the room
  112. Perp exits the room with Pete
  113. Greene follows them as well
  114. Wrong_Way takes a deep breath, feeling more composed when she's leaving.
  115. <Perp>: The suitcase has some clothes, about 12 hundred dollars, and a small leather bound book
  116. <Pete>: "Trespassing in a dump like this... there are more comfortable places to lay low, even for a crook."
  117. Pete continues leading her towards the exit
  118. <Perp>: "It speaks to me"
  119. Greene flips through the book
  120. Pete internally writes her off as crazy and continues walking in silence
  121. Wrong_Way follows after the two after realizing they're leaving the mansion.
  122. <Perp>: The book appears to be full of drawings figure sketches of people at parks, dogs laying in front of decks, and trees
  123. Pete looks back at Greene as they walk
  124. <Pete>: "You might wanna put that back before we get outside, there's some cameras."
  125. Greene puts everything back in the suitcase
  126. <Perp>: Every few pages some numbers will be written down
  127. <Greene>: "wait...."
  128. Greene looks back at the book, the numbers catching his interest
  129. Pete gives the perp a tug to stop walking
  130. Perp stops
  131. <Pete>: "You can get a pass to look over the evidence after we got forensics on it, so don't worry about getting it all in your head just now."
  132. Wrong_Way is right by greene, only looking into the book for a second before loosing interest.
  133. <Greene>: "Right, right. Just seeing if I can catch anything immediately useful"
  134. <Wrong_Way>: "Maybe she wrote down some lottery numbers." he snickers.
  135. <Perp>: As the books goes on number combos grow longer and longer pictures less and less until finally entire pages are covered with long chains of number
  136. Pete internally contemplates the feelings of guilt stirring in his gut.
  137. <Perp>: You all reach the gathering of policeman who have returned from combing the grounds
  138. Greene puts away the things, follows after pete
  139. Pete walks over, handing off the perp to the higherrankingpolice
  140. Pete motions for Greene to hand off the suitcase as well
  141. Greene gives him the case
  142. <Greene>: "Quick and clean, team"
  143. Wrong_Way ends up going over to the higher ranked officer where everyone is
  144. <Pete>: "Not nearly as theatrical as I anticipated."
  145. <Pete>: "Job well done then, eh?"
  146. <Wrong_Way>: "Yeah."
  147. <Greene>: "Job well done" he pats the two on the back.
  148. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Well lucky for us not all perps are into such farces"
  149. Wrong_Way looks back to the mansion. "Good thing. I'm sure all the dust in there would've killed us first."
  150. Pete puts his hands on his hips, looking around with an expression of satisfaction.
  151. <Pete>: "Not too bad for a 'rookie', I'd say."
  152. <Greene>: "Just get a few more under your belt and you'll be a natural, greenhorn"
  153. <Pete>: "Trust me, I already am"
  154. Pete 's expression goes from satisfied to entertained
  155. <Greene>: [any excuse to say greenhorn is a good one]
  156. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Orders from on high, a lot of push from those up the ladder to investigate possible mutant powers could be critical in appeasing that golden nuts campaign whos trying to play bug boss right now"
  157. <HigherRankingPolice>: "S-men
  158. <HigherRankingPolice>: "We need your science teachers and power expertise monitoring her, we've got a live feed to her cell at all times but for the sake of that angle of the investigation she's in your hands for now"
  159. <Greene>: "Understood."
  160. <Wrong_Way>: "Does this mean we have to drive with her back to the school?"
  161. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Police will drop her off after processing and our angle of the investigation is complete"
  162. <HigherRankingPolice>: "It will probably just be routine might take a few hours, I assume some kind of holding cell is available to you?"
  163. Pete walks a small way away to lean on his car and take notes
  164. <Greene>: "The ICE room, which deactivates powers, is always available. Other holding facilities should also be open, with the recent acquisition of more tech savvy mutants"
  165. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Good"
  166. <Greene>: "I can assure you that we can keep her there until further notice."
  167. <HigherRankingPolice>: "She's dangerous the boys back at the start of this goose chase just finished pinging her name"
  168. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Multiple counts of felony been in or out of a prison of some kind since she was 14"
  169. <HigherRankingPolice>: "Good luck"
  170. <HigherRankingPolice>: "We'll keep in touch"
  171. <Greene>: "Likewise. Tell the commissioner I said hi, will ya?"
  172. HigherRankingPolice nods "Of course" and begins packing up their things and loading back into cars the woman is pushed into the back of a patrol car and they begin setting out a few linger to begin processing the house
  173. Pete gives the two S-Men a nod and gets into his car
  174. Wrong_Way scratches the back of his head.
  175. <Wrong_Way>: "That's kind of neat, holding a criminal in the school."
  176. <Greene>: "It isn't holding them in the school, not really. Its more near it"
  177. <Greene>: "In a facility very close by"
  178. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh."
  179. <Greene>: "We wouldn't just leave criminals among the students"
  180. <Wrong_Way>: "That's true."
  181. <Wrong_Way>: "So uh, can I choose the radio station on the way back?"
  182. <Greene>: "If you use your privilege wisely" he laughs, he heads to the car
  183. Wrong_Way follows after. "Is there a ban list you have or am I allowed anything here?"
  184. <Greene>: "I'll let you go ahead and choose what you like"
  185. <Wrong_Way>: "I've got a list. I think Shakira Hour is starting on this one station soon."
  186. <Greene>: "Shakira, eh?"
  187. <Wrong_Way>: "Yeah. I've been trying to branch out my musical selection since my friend Straight Shot is always listening to music."
  188. <Wrong_Way>: "So there's a chance he's listened to Shakira at least once."
  189. <Greene>: "Well, everybody has at least once"
  190. <Wrong_Way>: "I hope."
