  1. Charles Babbage is a famous mathematician and inventor who lived in the 19th century during the industrial revolution where many engineers developed machines able to replace human on all types of mechanical tasks. Therefore the volume of traffic was increasing between Europe and the America. Due to this volume, some ships ran aground because of the rise of calculation needs and errors made by human. Thus, Babbage designed a calculated machine set up to display a sequence of squares using a handle. This method was easy to mechanize but Babbage never developed it because he was a poor manager and he was more determined to create a general purpose machine able to calculate anything that human computers could do.
