- Pinnacle of The Mountain's Crest
- --------------------------------
- Andrew Defrederico - 2019 Nov 20 22:27
- There's this place, you know, far above a mountain's crest
- that seems to overlook the boundaries of the pinnacle
- moment in one's destiny of chosen behaviour.
- A sort of belief that one may soon cry when the love of all
- he had is gone for eternity in a bliss of pactful nature,
- that one may only digress a solemn abortion of the times
- one loves and one cries.
- One may wake from an awful dream, but the beauty to dream
- and dream again, and to have dreams; goals and aspirations,
- seems to me, the only way possible to understand the place
- we lie on this mountain's crest.
- The mountain that teaches us what we have become and what
- we see is only in the end to be a fallen arch, stretching
- over horizons that swept the nations of disgust and ridicule
- from the distaste and unlikelyhood of friends we make.
