Rogue Encounter 1

A great opportunity just showed itsself to Kitosame..The C rank missions were a priority but that would have to wait..The terrain was to his advantage as well..He'd have no choice but to go all out against the lone Takigakure shinobi.

The Hoshigaki took a step back while forming 5 handseals at a rapid pace and slams his hand on the water beneath him.

The result was massive to say the least - A thousand water sharks shoot out of the water in the form of a giant wave that was hurled in the direction of Takumi..Being on water was a mistake for the Takigakure shinobi and if he couldn't combat this jutsu, it could be troublesome for him.

"Senshokukou.."

The dark skinned deviant had opted to let his blue-accomplice do all the talking, given the subtle anxiety that ate away at his psych. They had encountered a ninja from another village-- and the anticipation soon began to pile. In no time, a battle had commensed. Yet, the boy would spring into action without the slightest hesitation. He'd lurch in the opposite direction of the two as he set his sights on his new-found opponent.

A string of handseals were woven together, which were soon followed by six spheres of flames being spewed out by the boy, and guiding straight towards their target.

Takumi knew that he needed to be more careful when it came to his actions and to exactly where he'd find himself fighting. Atop waters with a Hoshigaki right before him was definitely a bad place to be, though it wouldn't stop Takumi from doing his best. His hands came together to weave through a string of seals. A shift of his hand later allowed for a blade of wind to be unleashed forward - wide and with the full intent to clash right against the massive wave heading his way.

With the corner of his eye did he catch the fireballs that followed, his feet already on the move to avoid all six in quick succession.

"I'm telling you. You don't want to do this."

As expected, he managed to clash Kitosame's thousand sharks..He could care less about the warnings that were give to him...He was able to identify who exactly he and his squadmate were fighting..The rogue.

Kitosame was going to put the pressure on him even more...He dashes forward while forming a handseal and slaming his palm on the water shortly after..The chakra within his fingers seep into the water, forming FIVE sharks, each fiercer and deadlier than the next..Without hesitation, the sharks swam from underneath the water and up towards Takumi attempting to chomp him one by one.

The dark skinned deviant watched on with a stern expression plastered over his face, all too focused in the midst of his fire-launching. The volleys of flames would seek the man out one by one, and they'd gradually cause his speed to wither.

The boy wouldn't waste even a sliver of a second-- he'd weave through another string of handseals rapidly while simultaneously reposition. A mass of smoke was suddenly spewed out, covering the area as the boy reached for his pockets. In no time, a flicked lighter was cleanly thrown into the smoke, erupting the gas and causing it to combust in the form of a large fireball that sought to smash into its target.

Takumi scanned the many sharks beneath the waters roaming, waiting, preying upon him. It was clear and evident that the assault upon his person was not one that was going to be very... friendly. His lips parted with a soft exhale, before a single hand came up before his chest.

"I've got no interest in killing either of you. Please. Don't make me."

And within an instant he was gone, allowing the five sharks to reconvene upon where he was and fizzle out under the explosive fires from above.

Takumi managed to evade the technique yet again but wasn't out of the water yet..Pun intended.

Kitosame continued to pursue while weaving through a massive amount of handseals.

"Suiton: Suiryuudan"

As the sequence of seals concluded, A massive water dragon accumulated from the sea beneath and went spiraling up in the air..It's direction quickly shifted towards the fleeing rogue aiming to do incredible damage and finish him.

"You're fleeing yet you cast threats? You're a coward."

The dark skinned deviant eagerly watched his jutsu soar through the skies and towards his target-- along with the sudden sharks that lunged out of the water. Yet, it was all to no avail. In an instant, the man had avoided the collision, the boys eyes widening as he urgently sought to locate the mans new-found location.

Upon doing so, he'd continue repositioning forward while reaching for the pouch at his side. Soon enough, three shurikens were senet whirling through the air in hopes of etching into their target.
Hogo, Tethys II has removed 3 Shuriken from his shinobi kit.

The young man performs 39 seals at E speed.
Takumi couldn't help but feel horrible for the man as he insisted on weaving through a lengthy amount of seals. A mistake to be sure. A trio of shuriken are retrieved from Takumi's pouch and tossed forth at once. Though their spin grew far, far more peculiar as they soared through the air, drawing in more winds than one would expect as they found themselves infused by such. The trio of shuriken flew through the air, each and every single one of them being kept in hot pursuit of their target, intent on both interrupting his long cast and striking him all at once.

As for the Genin's shuriken Takumi seems to effortlessly weave away from them.

The handseals that were made had to be stopped because of the rotating shuriken heading his way..He grits his teeth and evades one shuriken out of three..The other's pierced his body causing blood to spew out..

"Gaaahhh..."

Kitosame was hurt pretty badly but still managed to fight on..He  forms a series of handseals while continuing to close the distance..Or trying to..Takumi was fast.

As he finishes the seals, he slams his hand on the water and tiny water sharks are sent flying high above before descending down on the Rogue.

The dark skinned deviant continued his rapid movements towards the scene, hoping to keep up with the evidently much more skilled shinobi. Such things wouldn't hinder the boy, as he was all too intent on seizing the moment and rising to the occasion. He sought to support his accomplice by any means necessary.

Another few shurikens whizzed forward towards the golden-haired man, the boys eyebrows furrowing.

The young man had been defeated..He bled and sank to the bottom of the ocean.
Takumi saw the Hoshigaki being struck rather heavily by the shuriken. Suna's techniques were quite useful - tricky to some. Many, in fact. No doubt in a more knowledgeable battle on neutral grounds this would have been more interesting.

With the other shuriken whizzing his way the young man made a sudden, swift approach of the Genin who'd been doing his best in that moment. Naturally, the shuriken passed right by him without any opportunity of actually striking him.

But the distance was closed, for sure.

"Hey, hey. Kid. Calm down. You're in way above your head right now. Look at your partner; there's no way you can survive this alone. What's the best course of action?"

Was he... trying to teach the boy about the line of duty? After having ran?

Well, there were ways to fight.

The dark skinned deviant looked to the scene as his shurikens were evaded, his eyes widening as his accomplices handseals were interrupted by the weapons, leaving him with a critical wound. The boy immediately sprang into action, heading directly for the location the blue-skinned man had sank to. In the midst of this, he heard his opponents words.
  "Wha'?! I don't need ya' ta' tell me nothin'!!" he'd call out, had made the decision instantly in the wake of his partners defeat. With this, the boy urgently dived into the water in order to begin vigorously swimming down to the bottom. He'd locate the giant man in no time, now grabbing onto him and beginning to swim to the surface with every bit of strength he could muster.

Takumi was perhaps a bit of a bully when it came to the battlefield. He would allow the young one to swim to the depths of the sea in order to retrieve his superior, though what came next was him reaching out for the kid - aiming to pull him out of the water and hold him above it for as long as he could.

"Yeah- Well. I mean... If you don't wanna listen you're just putting his life in danger. So what do you figure's best; him having a debt of a whole life to pay back to me or going without a debt but sinking deeper than you can go and get him?"

The dark skinned deviant had aimed to immediately swim to the bottom and assure that his partner didn't reach the bottom-- but he'd soon find himself suddenly gripped by his shirt. The boy would begin to immediately flail around like a fish out of water, hoping to squirm free of his grasps. As he did so, he listened to his words, his gaze now meeting the blonde-haired mans eyes.

Despite the situation, his eyebrows were furrowed, and he was all too angry. His arms flailed about dramatically.
  "Eh?! Jus' let go!! If ya' don't he'll die! What're ya' talkin' about?!" he'd urgently exclaim.
The young man was actually not going to die..He was a fish..His injuries were severe however.
I know. And as it stands you're the only one who can change whether he dies or not here. Being a Shinobi's not always about being headstrong. Or tough. Or fighting the battles you gotta fight. Sometimes there are bigger - greater things you need to fight for. Greater things you need to bow down for. He wanted to sell me over to Konoha. I don't think they would've cared much for me, really."

A pause was taken as he directed the boy's attention to his sinking comrade. Thankfully he wouldn't drown, there was time.

"So, do you think it's fair if I just let him go? What would you do in my shoes if someone came for your life like that?"
(Takumi)
 "I know. And as it stands you're the only one who can change whether he dies or not here. Being a Shinobi's not always about being headstrong. Or tough. Or fighting the battles you gotta fight. Sometimes there are bigger - greater things you need to fight for. Greater things you need to bow down for. He wanted to sell me over to Konoha. I don't think they would've cared much for me, really."

A pause was taken as he directed the boy's attention to his sinking comrade. Thankfully he wouldn't drown, there was time.

"So, do you think it's fair if I just let him go? What would you do in my shoes if someone came for your life like that?"

The dark skinned deviant continued his squirming as he listened closely to the mans words, his movements gradually growing slower and less effective over time as his fatigue took its toll. His full attention was diverted to the mans eyes, and the words he spoke. His eyebrows remained furrowed, and his teeth clenched.
  "He was jus' doin' his job! Ya' said ya' don't wanna kill us! Why're ya' switchin' up, huh?!" he'd rant, arms still flailing around as he subtly knew time may had been running out.
 "He didn't believe I should be allowed to make threats while disengaging. Appearances can be deceiving and... perhaps that's a good lesson for you to learn."

Takumi finally let go of the boy, reaching into his flak jacket and pulling out a single kunai. It twirled around his finger while he kept this discussion, this charade going on.

"His job was never to hunt me down. Else he would've known not to engage me all on his own. Y'see..." A hand reaches up to the scar across his face, gesturing towards it.

"I wasn't given this because I caught in a bad situation in battle. This is from caring too much for the lives of those who cared about mine. A tactical retreat turned into a fiasco. It brought a lot of hatred; people said I couldn't do my job properly. But sometimes I feel as if a Shinobi's meant to think for themselves. Don't you think? Tyrant leaders, horrible superiors, uncaring officials can drive you and your people to the ground."

The spinning kunai finally meets a stop, being gripped.

"I am Takumi. I've completed four-hundred and thirty-four D-rank missions, two-hundred and twenty-three C-rank missions, two B-rank missions, two A-rank missions, and an S-rank mission. Out of all of these I have never suffered even a single scratch.

If his job was to hunt me then..."

Green eyes locked with the boys, the full extent of the man's presence being felt at once - the accomplishments, the tenacity, the wit, the power behind who he was all coming together.

"... why did he bring you?"

The dark skinned deviant found himself released, the boy plopping onto the waters and arcing his head up to gaze up towards the taller man. He still looked highly angry, and his fists were clenched. Despite this, he'd opt to stand before the man with staring, wrathful eyes.

He listened to the mans words closely. This was his opponent, yet he still sought to absorb the knowledge that seeped out of him. He listened about the mans experiences that lead him to such a point. Yet, he'd soon part his lips to urgently call out..
  "I ain't mean it like that! We were goin' on a C-rank mission an' passed into ya'! Any ninja would'a attacked ya', 'cause we gotta bring rogues like ya' down! It's our job, an' so ya' can't even blame 'em!!"
Takumi tossed the kunai in his hand upwards, letting it reach its apex, briefly floating for a moment as it did, as if held up in suspension by invisible strings from the heavens. The wonders of gravity in motion.

"So you wouldn't blame me if I, a rogue, brought him down?"

The kunai is caught once more as it descends.

"That's the logic here, isn't it? Those are your orders, so in turn, the opposite should be true, too.

What do you think? And more importantly; what do you want?"
The dark skinned deviant looked to the kunai momentarily in its unusual flight, his eyebrow quirking. It was short-lived, as he would soon divert his attention back to the man in the wake of his words. A pause ensued after the question was posed, which soon followed the words that the man spoke afterwards. Another pause ensued, the boy casting a brief glimpse at the ground. His eyes soon met the mans afterwards, a reinvigorated vigor apparent within them.
  "..Listen! I get what ya' sayin'! Ya' gotta kill someone tryn'a kill ya'-- but jus' let it go! We ain't gonna give ya' no more problems!" he'd pause, only to urgently continue.
  "I want ya' ta' let us go home! Y'hear?!" he'd call out, the small boy holding his ground.
Takumi couldn't help but offer a smile as the boy stood his ground, as he spoke his wants, as he showcased exactly what the golden-haired one believed was necessary out of a Shinobi.

"Seems like you do have a use in missions. Though not the kind you'd expect. Let him know that you were the one who saved him, yeah? And don't try to sell people away. That's just rude."

The kunai was spun swiftly and stored back into his vest. The young man turns soon after, moving to depart.
The dark skinned deviant looked to him in a subtle bit of shock as his talks had worked in managing to fend the man off-- yet, the words the man spoke seemed to linger within his mind.
  "..right.." he'd murur, a bead of sweat finally beginning to roll down the side of his neck. A deep sigh of relief was let out as soon as the man got far enough.
