Tail and Orchid stuff 2

[14:47] * Tail_Spin arrives at Toffee's Diner after a quick shower, the pudgy mare having some cinnamon rolls and coffee left from dinner. He rubs a hoof through his mane, sighing as he sits down, his wings twitching nervously.
[14:49] * Black_Orchid has finished her shower, finding a fresh jumpsuit before going to see the doctor for a good chiding and to have her head looked at!  The physical trauma seems to have been taken care of by Bright Idea's magic but her brain took a lot of knocking... The doctor thinks she isn't concussed but wants her back for observation in the morning.
[14:51] * Tail_Spin sips some coffee, waiting for Black_Orchid to arrive, also hoping that she's okay.
[14:53] * Black_Orchid tries to get free of the medical ponies and their cold instruments :I  It takes some time but she finally wiggles free to head for Toffee's Diner!  She kind of just hobbles along so it takes extra time before her hooves push open the door!
[14:53] * Tail_Spin brightens up a bit as he sees Black_Orchid enter, waving a wing to her. "Hey Orchid." He says.
[14:55] * Black_Orchid smiles brightly and waves back, "Hi Tail!"
[14:56] * Black_Orchid trots over to him for a quick nuzzle before flopping down into the booth with a groan.
[15:02] * Tail_Spin nuzzles Black_Orchid back, smiling at her. "You doing alright?"
[15:11] * Black_Orchid nods, frowning slightly, "How about you?  You were out of it there for a while, not as bad as Bright but you looked about ready to collapse there at the end..."
[15:15] * Tail_Spin nods to Black_Orchid, sighing. "I... I dunno." He says, leaning against Black_Orchid. "I was scared... really scared."
[15:16] * Black_Orchid nuzzles more, "You did really well Tail... And without your mechanical skills we wouldn't have gotten those wagons moving again."
[15:18] * Tail_Spin looks up at Black_Orchid, leaning into her nuzzles. "I s-saw you get shot... I was so scared that you had died... I... I didn't want to lose you..."
[15:27] * Black_Orchid shakes her head, smiling softly, "It's okay Tail, with everypony around me there wasn't much danger of that."
[15:33] * Tail_Spin sniffles, her ears drooping. "B-But what if Bright hadn't been so close and y-you had, had..." He whimpers a bit, nosing Black_Orchid.
[15:34] * Black_Orchid noses back, still smiling a little but it definitely isn't a /cheerful/ smile, "Then I could have died, Tail.  Any of us could have."

[15:43] * Tail_Spin nods to Black_Orchid, hugging the mare. "I-I know... and I'm scared I'm going to lose you... I... I s-still love you Orchid..."
[15:44] * Black_Orchid 's mouth draws thinner briefly and her smile falters, "I know Tail..."
[15:45] * Tail_Spin looks up at Black_Orchid. "Wh-what about you?"
[15:46] * Black_Orchid frowns, "I'm worried... Especially why the overmare sent us without any real medical or combat strength.  We could have easily lost any or all of us to a better armed group of miscreants."
[15:48] * Tail_Spin nods to Black_Orchid. "Yeah..." His ears fall a bit. "What about... us though?"
[15:50] * Black_Orchid 's expression flickers, her ears falling back against the top of her head, "I haven't really thought of ourselves as an 'us' in a long time Tail..."
[15:52] * Tail_Spin shakes his head. "I hadn't really either... but then this all happened and I don't want to be apart from you..."

[16:04] <Black_Orchid> "I understand, we were under a lot of stress, together, and it reminded us all I'm sure of our regrets," she mumbles, not really making eye contact
[16:07] <Tail_Spin> [hang on, dealign with things]
[16:11] * Tail_Spin nods to Black_Orchid, shuddering a bit as he lets out a breath, nuzzling against the mare lightly. "I... want to be with you again Orchid."

[16:23] * Black_Orchid nods, sighing lightly, "I know...."
[16:27] * Tail_Spin looks up at Black_Orchid, smiling softly at her, gently wrapping one of his wonderfully soft wings aroudn the mare, something he hadn't done in a long time. "What do you say?"
[16:29] * Black_Orchid snuggles closer, a red flush touching her pale pink cheeks, "I-I don't know."
[16:31] * Tail_Spin leans up, gently caressing Black_Orchid's cheek with his other wing, smiling softly at her. "I-It's okay, take your time."
[16:33] * Black_Orchid nestles down small against his side, "I'm just, really not used to thinking about things like that anymore..."
[16:35] * Tail_Spin squeezes Black_Orchid gently with his wing, smiling softly at her, blushing. "Y-Yeah... I was too scared to ask you out again until now..."
[16:46] * Black_Orchid wiggles a little, "Scared?"
[16:50] * Tail_Spin chuckles softly. "Yeah... that y-you wouldn't want me back..."
[16:56] * Black_Orchid nods a little...
[16:59] * Tail_Spin nuzzles Black_Orchid's neck, before meeting her gaze.
[17:00] * Black_Orchid 's eyes are closed, snuggled in close next to him with her legs folded underneath
[17:02] * Tail_Spin lightly kisses Black_Orchid's cheek, rubbing her back gently with his wing.
[17:04] * Black_Orchid sighs sadly....
[17:04] <Black_Orchid> "I just don't know what I'm doing with my life, Tail," she says quietly.
[17:05] * Tail_Spin sighs softly as well, nuzzling Black_Orchid's cheek lightly. "What do you mean?"
[17:07] <Tail_Spin> [I'll need to pause for dinner soon]
[17:07] <Black_Orchid> "Anything, where my career's going, my personal life is practically nonexistent, I just nearly died for reasons I'm not precisely clear on.  What have I spent my whole life /doing/?" she rubs her muzzle in irritation

[17:10] * Tail_Spin sighs softly. He nuzzles her more. "Is there something you want to do Orchid? Do you have any goals?"
[17:16] <Black_Orchid> "No," she says flatly, "I just, I thought I'd have gotten farther by now."
[17:16] <Black_Orchid> "I thought I was happy doing what I did, but now I'm not so sure."
[17:16] <Tail_Spin> [alright, dinner time, I'll be back inna bit]
[17:17] <Black_Orchid> "But isn't everypony just humoring me?  I'm not actually doing anything productive, am I?" she says weakly

[18:54] * Tail_Spin firmly nuzzles Black_Orchid, his ears drooping. "Hey, you are important, you make everything in the Stable is safe. I know you've found quite a few things that aren't while you've been on the job." He says, smiling at her.

[20:07] * Black_Orchid doesn't say anything, just laying there against him.
[20:08] * Tail_Spin sighs softly as well, hugging Black_Orchid with his wing. He doesn't say anything either, just gently rubbing her back with his wing.

[20:40] * Black_Orchid stirs "Yes?"
[20:40] * Tail_Spin smiles softly. "You wanna head back to my room? Just cuddle up and sleep?"
[20:43] * Black_Orchid wiggle-wiggles, "Maybe..."
[20:43] * Tail_Spin noses Black_Orchid's cheek gently. "We could both use the rest."
[20:44] * Black_Orchid nods, "Yeah... If we can sleep."
[20:45] * Tail_Spin chuckles. "I just said cuddle up and sleep didn't I?"
[20:47] * Black_Orchid wiggles, pouting a little, "I'm glad you're that confident."
[20:48] * Tail_Spin gets up, offering a hood to Black_Orchid. "Come on, and you look cute when you pout." He says with a soft chuckle.
[20:50] <Black_Orchid> "Mm," she smiles again a little, taking his hoof up with a wince.
[20:51] * Tail_Spin drapes his wing over Black_Orchid gently, nodding to Toffee who waves to the both of them happily as he heads out of the diner with the mare at his side, heading for his room.
[20:54] * Black_Orchid stays close by his side, head resting on him all the way home~
[20:56] * Tail_Spin smiles softly, leading Black_Orchid to his quarters and into his bedroom, helping Orchid into the bed before sliding in beside her, cuddling up against her side, nuzzling her neck gently. "Murr..."
[20:59] * Black_Orchid does take a second to get un-dressed :I  She doesn't like sleeping in slightly stiff, freshly laundered jumpsuit.  When Tail snuggles in around her though she wriggles close against him with a soft sigh~
[21:00] * Tail_Spin gets undressed too, silly pony. He smiles at Black_Orchid, and plants a very light kiss on her lips. "I'm glad we made it through today."
[21:01] * Black_Orchid nods back, still slightly flushed and a little bit warm to the touch.
[21:10] * Tail_Spin strokes his wing against Black_Orchid's back gently, nuzzling her gently. "You're nice and warm... mmm..." He smiles, letting out a soft murr.
[21:11] * Black_Orchid lowers her muzzle and tucks her head under his~
[21:11] <Black_Orchid> "You're still really soft," she whispers
[21:16] * Tail_Spin smiles, stroking Black_Orchid's mane with a hoof, letting it run down the small of her back gently as well. "Mmmm... You're the only pony I've really ever been interested in..."
[21:16] * Black_Orchid nods, muzzle rubbing against his chest
[21:19] * Tail_Spin murrs happily, wrapping his wings around Black_Orchid in a feathery blanket of softness and warmth.
[21:21] * Black_Orchid aaahs quietly, happy to be enveloped in feathery comfort~
[21:21] * Tail_Spin gently kisses the top of Black_Orchid's head, smiling. "Good night Orchid."
[21:22] <Black_Orchid> "Goodnight Tail," she says back
[21:22] * Tail_Spin closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep happily~
[21:23] * Black_Orchid stays awake, eyes starring into the dark as she contemplates.... Eventually though the narcotic effect of comfy pegasus wings and warm Tail puts her to sleep~
