Rattington

You are Rattington, a peasant living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a pitchfork and a nothing else. You wake up and begin working in the fields. You see a girl walking towards you

> You become a rat.


"I am Rattington, a peasant living in the kingdom of Larion".

The girl looks at you and smiles. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but your father is dead".

"What?" you say.

"Your father died," she says

> You bite the girls ankles.


You quickly grab her ankle and bite down on it. She screams out and runs away from you. You run after her and catch her by the hand. "Don't run".
She turns around and looks at you with tears in her eyes.

> You you squeak like a rat and scurry into a nearby hole in a wall.


You crawl through the hole in the wall and find yourself in a small cave. The cave has a few rats running about. You look up and see a large rock hanging over the edge of the cave. It would be easy for you to fall off if you didn't have any weight on you

> You converse with the rat residents.


"Hello there". A rat says.
"Hello". You reply.
"How do you like our food?" Another asks.
"It's fine". You reply.
"Do you want some more?"
"No thanks".


> You say "Do you have any cheese?".


"Yes".
"We have lots of cheese here".
"Oh... I'll take that as a yes then".

> You take all of the cheese.


You grab all of the cheese and eat it. It tastes good. The rats seem happy too. They leave you alone and go back to their own homes. You feel very full and satisfied.


> You roll deeper into the cave in search of rat treasure.


You crawl deeper into the cave and eventually find a tunnel leading further underground. You follow the tunnel until you reach another room filled with rats. There are several tunnels branching off from these rooms. Most of them lead to different parts of the castle where there are treasures or other things to sell

> Say "Is there any rat treasure in this establishment?".


"There is". One of the rats replies.
"Well get me one of those rats!" You say.
"But we don't sell rats".

> You say "Then perish.".


You turn to run back to the entrance of the cave, but the rats catch you. You scream out and try to fight them off, but they easily overpower you. They drag you into the darkness of the cave and throw you in

> You take out your rat gun and start the rat hunt.


You grab your rat gun and shoot at the rats. Some of them die instantly, others just stumble away. You continue shooting until you can no longer hear anything. You sit down on a stone slab and wait for nightfall.

> You attempt to find rat treasure after nightfall.


You stand up and walk towards the cave entrance. You notice that the sun is setting behind the mountains. You think about how lucky you are to live in such an idyllic place. You decide to head inside the cave and try to find something to sell.

> You search underneath every rock and dust speck.


You begin searching under every rock and dust speck in the cave. Eventually you come across a large chest. You open it up and find a bag of gold coins. You count the money and realize that you've made quite a bit. You also notice that the chest was locked

> You eat the gold. Rats have no use for currency.


You eat the gold and feel great. You're so full that you collapse onto the ground. You lie there for awhile, not moving. Suddenly, you hear a noise and look up. You see a group of rats coming from the direction of the cave entrance

> You say "Alas, art thou hither to slay me for the crimes I have committed against your brethren. Make it quick for I cannot move.".


You suddenly stop moving and stare at the rats. You slowly raise your arms and fire a burst of bullets at the nearest rat. You hit him square in the face and he falls backwards. You continue firing at the rats and soon you've killed most of them

> You pick up rat by the collar.


You pick up the rat by the collar and toss him aside. He tries to escape, but you catch him before he gets far. You pull out your pistol and point it at him. "Now, you will pay for what you did to my family". You snap his neck

> You ask "Who sent you?" To another rat that was standing close by.


You look around and see a number of rats who are all staring at you. You look at each one of them and ask "Who sent you?" Each one stares at you, dumbfounded. Finally, one answers.

> You wait.


You wait patiently for the rats to explain themselves. After a while, one finally does. He explains that he is a messenger sent by the king of the rats. He tells you that the king wants you to bring him a certain item

> You say "What item?".


"A key to the treasury".

> You say "Where might I obtain such an item?".


He points to a door on the right side of the cave.

> You open the door.


You enter the door and step through it opens. Inside you find yourself in a room with many chests. You find a key and a lock. You pu

> You wait.

> You say "What is in these chests?".


> You say "I'm going to open the treasury now".

> You take the lock.


You put the key in the lock and unlock the door opens. You enter the treasury. In front of you stands a long table. On top of it sits a man dressed in black robes holding a staff with a golden handle

> You ask "Who are you mysterious robe man?".


> You say "My name is Ratty, and I am the keeper of the treasury".
> You say "I need to know if you have the key to the treasury".
> You say "Goodbye".
> You exit the treasury

> You say to the rats "Im going home. Im tiiired.".


> You return to the treasury.
You open the treasury and find that it is empty. You sigh. You wonder what happened to the man who held the key? Then you remember that the man was named Ratty. You rush over to him and tell him what happened. He looks surprised

> You say "Why do you look so surprised my dear old chummy chum chum Ratty?".


> You say "It's because you were scared when I came here!".
>"The king has been kidnapped! He needs our precious treasure to save you!"You must help us!

> You grab the treasure and run towards where the rat king is being imprisoned.
