  1. Life cannot survive without water. Saving water helps to preserve the environment in which we live in. It is quite possible to reduce the amount of energy required to produce water, deliver it to homes, all while saving the end consumers money in the process. This will also reduce pollution in the air and reduce the use of fuel. There are many ways in which someone can save water instantly without any sort of investment from them.
  2. One of the ways in which you can conserve water is turning off the faucet when you’re not using water. For example when you brush your teeth you can turn off the faucet when you only really need the water. The amount of time while you aren't using the water while brushing your teeth is quite significant, so turning of the water and only utilizing when needed is sure to cause a positive change. Another method to conserve water is buying a dishwasher that is water efficient as most dishwashers use less water than you would if you were to hand wash those same plates. Following that another high water use area of daily life is taking a shower and bathing. Bathing utilizes an extreme amount of water in relation to a comparable shower. Reducing those shower times further will also reduce any sort of water usage that you may have. The average American takes a 8.2 minute shower, even reducing that time in your household to just 5 minutes will have an impact.
  3. Changing your shower heads and faucets to more water efficient ones will reduce your water usage while giving you the same cleaning power as you had before. Recently made toilets are also starting to become more water efficient. Toilets that utilize dual triggers for flushing allow you to easily select how much water you will use in your flush depending on if it is a solid or liquid. Leaky toilets are also a huge culprit for wasted water. An average of 200 gallons per day can be lost from leaky toilets. Checking for leaks all around your water sources will ensure that your water usage is as low as possible. That lost water doesn't just hurt the environment, but also your wallet. With all that being said, the more effort that we can put into conserving water, the longer we can enjoy this beautiful world which we are in
