Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks don't een tell you _how_ they became a Super Saiyan 2 outside of "train really hard." Even then, both Cabba and Kale got Super Saiyan 2 (and even standard Super Saiyan) out of emotions. Caulifla is the only one who can pull this off with no emotions, and she was already described as a super prodigy.

Back tingles are literally the physical representation of "get mad" in Super Saiyan.

Japanese martial arts and culture usually believe that the back area is where the emotions are stored, such as anger. That's why Cabba described that tingle when he was naturally angry the first time.
