Katsuki Side Story

[5 years ago. An 11 year old Katsuki is with her parents after a particularly heavy snowstorm caused school to be cancelled and her dad's hospital to be shut down for the day. Living in a rural area has it's perks, but the lack of dedicated snowplows is not one of them.]
Aiko: And that's how you create a sigil...sort of.
[Katsuki and her mum are drawing symbols and long forgotten languages on scraps of paper around the house.]
Katsuki: But what does it do?
Hideki: It doesn't pay the bills, that's for sure!
[Hideki, Katsuki's dad, is watching them while reading the paper. Another article on the failing economy graces the front page.]
