All of it put a damper on his spirits, he wanted to be home with his wife in kids, cooking a fresh meal for them all, he wanted freedom. It was hard to keep that numbing feeling that lingered beneath the surface.

His gaze would drift to the side as a cheery taint would slowly appear upon his cheeks, his hand moving from the base to the side of his neck, embarassed…

  1659. Sugarlad was a child afterall and… extremely curious. He'd mutter between his lips. "A-alright, I want to have a look and make sure my father will be fine there.."

  1668. [20:51] Sugarboy was lowkey actually quite interesting in seeing what this island would look like, though with the fairy's somewhat demonic presence and the feeling of raw dread emanating behind them.

  1670. He had no say in his moving, but Sugarlad did. He wasn't sure if he should tag along, but perhaps the peace of mind would be good for him.

  1672. He'd step towards the bars, "Alright fam, guess we're going on a star ride~"

  1676. [20:53] A literal 'paradise' was revealed.

The Fairy's world was one much in complete contrast to anything she stood for, for it was a Glade- A beautiful surplus of trees circling around the Eternal Tree, an once source for a fountain of Youth, now but a tree with a surplus of mana that granted it a primeval connection which can be felt upon touch.

  1680. Odd fruits adorned the Eternal Tree, all of which were excess mana produced through time- The small critters and such lying around the tree seems to have eaten some of them, and most of them are sound asleep next to it.

  1682. And as promised, the island was indeed one floating amidst an ocean of stars, albeit not quite something you could surf upon!

[20:58] Ser Artaghh would once more return to the glade with a wide, missing toothed grin upon his face, staring out into the distant see of glimmering stars as he allowed himself a sigh of relief, a rare priviledge with the stress of the coming siege heavy upon his mind. No longer keeply starstruck from having seen it the first time, the knight was far more capable now of simply taking in the serenity of the glade in full, inhaling and exhaling deeply as he almost instinctively crossed his legs into a meditative posture.

  1696. The blonde-haired lad couldn't believe it, the fae was telling the Truth, this was real island floating admist an ocean of stars! His overwhelming curiousity would now take over as Sugarlad would immediatly detach himself from the group to run straightforward towards the edge of the island and lay down on his stomach to peekn wondering what would happen to him if he were to fall off!

  1703. [20:59] Sugarlad says, "I'm.. not sure man."
  1704. [21:03] Nyphadora says, "Oh, I promise you, nothing bad happens."
  1705. [21:03] Nyphadora exclaims, "Artaghh will even jump with you!"
  1706. [21:03] Nyphadora asks, "Right?"
  1707. [21:03] Artaghh exclaims, "Sure!"
  1708. [21:03] Artaghh exclaims, "Sounds fun!"

[21:04] Ser Artaghh would nod with a smile to Nyphadora before hovering idly towards the edge with young Sugarlad, giving the youth a thumbs up as he puffed away at his corncob pipe and gazed deeply into the distant stars. He'd done more foolish things for less reason, and was entirely willing to add jumping off the edge of the glade to the list. It sounded like a plan.

  1711. "I'ma knight, so my word is sure as steel. If ye' jump, so shall I."

  1715. [21:07] He'd step through the portal to the other realm, and it was truly breath taking sight. It would've brought a smile to his face had he not been torn from his family.

  1717. It would've been nice to have a picnic here.

  1719. A better view, but he didn't care for how isolated it was. He sort of enjoyed the randomness of guests that visited. Though there would be much less of that here, and the guests would probably be less than favorable.

  1721. A small sigh as he stepped to the side, he wasn't sure what jumping would do, but hey, if Laddy and Artaghh were down, he had nothing to lose.

  1723. "Cowabunga fam~" He'd say with his thumb and pinky sticking out and waving around.

  1729. The blonde-haired lad would take off his trident and straw-hat and place them down before moving back to the edge of the cliff. At this exact moment, he was hearing his mother scolding him with the famous "would you jump off a bridge if your friends did?"

  1731. "Totally, mama.~"
  1732.  
  1733. Taking a deep breath, he'd give one final glance to his father and Artaghh before literally kick the ground beneath his feet to plunge forward in the ocean of stars! However, he would not close his eyes… not even once!

  1735. He would not miss a single second of this!
  1736. (Sugarlad)

  1739. [21:15] Ser Artaghh would snap his fingers as his black plated sabatons descended slowly to the ground, a light puff of minty smoke emanating from his person as he stared over the edge of the glade with a sense of whimsy. The void of starry light and emptiness that expanded so distantly beyond the gaugeless horizon of blackness and glimmering twinkles would perhaps be a bit intimidating for the unprepared. It was practically the equivalent of jumping out into space and assuming that you weren’t going to just disappear and be gone forever.

  1741. But the knight trusted Nyphadora, she was great! So naturally whatever was going to happen was also going to be great, and the bald swordsmen had no complaint with that. Flashing finger guns to the fae behind him, he’d take one last minty puff from his corn cob pipe before leaping off the side with peasant, reckless abandon. He probably could have just glided off the side with his gravity magic to manifest a similar effect, but the old fashioned way was always more fun!

  1750. [21:16] Sugarboy does a backflip off the island.

  1754. [21:21] And as they found themselves over the edge of their world, it was as though their magic was no more- A sensation of falling, and fall they did. For a few seconds, it would feel as though they actually would die.

  1756. As though there was nothing more they could do but fall to oblivion!

  1758. And then suddenly, all three of the sat on a bench just in front of the Fairy. She? Hovering before them, watching.

  1760. "Worldscape. Death is impossible here, and so is any harm. Quite a wonderful place, no?" Attention turning to Sugarboy, "I hope you can come to terms with it."

  1764. [21:27] Ser Artaghh would tumble through the abyss for a time, whistling a somber, peasant tune as he fell infinitely into the dark, starry void with acceptance. If he was going to die a haphazard, foolish death that involved literally leaping off the side of the worldscape, well, at least he was doing it with his boy Sugarboy. And Sugarlad was here too! What a gang.

  1766. And just like that, the knight would blink as he sat upon a cozy bench, tilting his head sideways in a bit of confusion as he glanced about before realizing, no, it seemed that the legion commander yet lived. Glancing off towards the starry void he'd just leapt into with perhaps the slightest bit less comfort, the wide, missing toothed grin would return to Ser Artaghh's face as he scratched the back of his bald head with a shutting of his remaining eye.

  1768. "How come no one can ge' harmed or die here Nyph? Is it cause e'erythin' feels so sunshiney an' happy, even death ain' tryin'ta mess aroun' wit' ye'?"

  1774. It didn't seem to be that good of an idea on second thought! For a moment, the blonde-haired lad actually feared for his life when they seemed to endlessly fall into oblivion. Instant regret time!

  1776. Sugarlad actually started to do is prayer but, before he could finish-- he suddenly found himself on a bench with his father and friend, right before the fae! He'd start to wipe off the sweat out of his forehead with the use of his sleev…

  1778. "C-close call."

  1782. [21:32] He would plummet and spiral into a freefall, closing his eyes and letting go. Atleast until he felt a bench beneath them, looking towards the fairy.

  1784. Yeah, that sounds about like his luck. "Not like I really have a choice." Pretty much an ongoing theme, no point in stressing over things out of his control.
  1785.  
  1786. "Well do I still age or what's the deal with that? You guys are taken probably the last year I got in me to be slick on the battle field." He'd groan half jokingly. They were still his captors, and he was feeling meh about all of this.

  1790. [21:33] Nyphadora says, "You will still age."
  1791. [21:34] Artaghh says, "As ye' can see, there are worse places'ta be imprisoned. "

  1793. [21:35] Sugarboy says, "Ahh I think I'd like cell, no offence, familiarity really"
  1794. [21:35] Artaghh says, "Well, this is easier than killin' ye' wit'ou' purpose Sugar. Yer a good lad! Jus'....on the wrong side."
  1795. [21:35] Artaghh exclaims, "Hmm, if ye' go up in one'a those trees in the leaves, it'd probably feel celly!"
  1796. [21:36] Sugarlad says, "Man.. all this Dawn and Gehenna stuff, exhaustin'."
  1797. [21:36] Sugarlad says, "Just want a happy life with my family."
  1798. [21:36] Nyphadora says, "Mm...."
  1799. [21:36] Sugarboy says, "Same here, Laddy, I'm sorry this turned out the way it did."
  1800. [21:37] Nyphadora says, "Sors wishes for no more issues to arrise whilst war is raging."
  1801. [21:37] Nyphadora says, "That is the only reason we had to bring you here."
  1802. [21:37] Sugarlad says, "'Least you didn't kill my papa."
  1803. [21:37] Artaghh exclaims, "Aye, think'a it like a vacation!"
  1804. [21:37] Artaghh says, "Ye'll see yer family again."
  1805. [21:38] Sugarboy says, "Alright, you guys can go now."
  1806. [21:38] Sugarlad says, "Pa."
  1807. [21:38] Artaghh says, "Sure, sure. I'll have Chaaca ge' ye' some high quality vodka an' reed joints, maybe some crabcakes."
  1808. [21:38] Sugarlad asks, "Maybe you should take this opportunity to practice, aye?"
  1809. [21:38] Sugarboy says, "I'm feeling a stupid episode coming on."
  1810. [21:38] Sugarboy says, "Ah yeah, that sounds good, Laddy."
  1811. [21:39] Sugarlad asks, "Ya wouldn't want your boy to surpass ya already, mhm-mhm?"
  1812. [21:39] Sugarlad says, "Ehe.."
  1813. [21:39] Sugarboy says, "Heh heh, not just yet."
  1814. [21:39] Sugarboy says, "I still got some tricks to show ya~"

  1826. [11:11] He'd awake alone, not something he was unused to at this point in his capture. Though he woke in grass, with a breeze against his cheek and the stars to greet him as he opens his eyes.
  1827.  
  1828. The old man would sit up, wrapping his arms around one knee as his back pops several times. Looking out over the vast starry expanse, he couldn't deny it's beauty, but that only magnified the loneliness his felt. Little twinkling lights, so far out of reach, just like his friends, family, hell even his enemies were out of reach.
  1829.  
  1830. He briefly wondered if any of the stars he saw were patrons to someone, of if these were even the same stars that shared the night sky of Agartha. If death and harm did not exist here, then surely it couldn't be any space shared with Agartha.
  1831.  
  1832. How does magic even begin to create a place like this? He'd stand up, wandering around as he inspected the small forest. He shortly debated on harvesting the wood, but with no axe and a collar on, he didn't feel like beating up his hands.. Yet.
  1833.  
  1834. He missed his kids, missing those critical few years before they really left on their own, and the Chieftain had to go and get himself captured. Anger steeped into annoyance and frustration, soon sorrow and betrayal would settle in as he reminisced over Shizuko and Salvas's betrayal of his trust with their shift of allegiance.
  1835.  
  1836. He fought Salvas in his youth, but with Shizuko falling in love with him, Sugarboy felt there was credence to his attempt at redemption. In truth, however, Sugarboy was trusting Shizuko when he followed Salvas. To see her stand by him as they tried to detain him in their home, he could feel his heart sinking all over again.
  1837.  
  1838. He couldn't blame her fully, however, she had to stand by the one she loved, just as Sugarboy would have done if Euyitl was involved. He'd take a deep inhale as his wife's name crossed his thoughts.
  1839.  
  1840. She was frequently onhis mind, but he tried his best from thinking about her during his stay to avoid the heart ache of being away from her. He missed her floral fragrance, her warm and comforting presence. She was his peace, and without her he was restless.
  1841.  
  1842. It was evident by his risk of turning himself into a blood bomb to avoid capture, in the heat of the moment, death really seemed more preferable than being torn from the one he loves more than anything else in this world.
  1843.  
  1844. He'd pace around, at least he could be proud of Laddy. Even at the age of twelve, he matured very quickly, and he was already handling intersettlement disputes and walking around with relative ease. He was going to go far, and that brought a comfort to the father.

  1848. [11:13] Sugarboy has grown bored, and frustrated enough to karate chop trees into oblivion.

  1852. [15:33] After staring into the sparkling expanse lost in thought for awhile, Sugarboy would go over to prop himself up against the largest tree there. It was hard to tell if it was the oldest, or just a product of design by it's creator.

  1854. He couldn't even work on his magic, meditate and attune with his mana because of the collar that blocked his circuits from flowly smoothing throughout his body.
  1855.  
  1856. Nope, all he had was a bottle of wine and a reed to sooth him. He didn't have his magics to help him hind the reed or light it, so he had to make use of more primitive tools. A pair of coarse rocks, a small stick, and some rolling paper he kept in his med kit to separate bandages... And not as an emergency stash.
  1857.  
  1858. He'd roll the grinded herb into the paper making a tight cigarette, wrapped with the finesse of someone who's been doing this for almost forty years has. Finding some flint, he'd eventually get it lit and toke out as he waited for anything to happen.
  1859. (Sugarboy)

  1861. [21:06] Nyphadora exclaims, "Hello!"
  1862. [21:06] Nyphadora says, "Dear man."
  1863. [21:06] Nyphadora says, "Huang has lost."
  1864. [21:06] Nyphadora says, "Sera has died."
  1865. [21:06] Nyphadora says, "Zeriel has died."
  1866. [21:06] Nyphadora exclaims, "So many things occurred! Wow!"
  1867. [21:10] Sugarboy would be sitting propped up against the central tree, smoking his Macgyvered joint as he sat idly about. Nyphadora would return with quite grim news, his lips tugging downwards into a frown.
  1868.  
  1869. "That's some heavy news to drop, fam." He'd say, exhaling a cloud of smoke. "Anything else you wanna share, or am I getting moved out from my vacation?"

  1873. [21:12] Hands would clap together, a smile swift to curve her lips- "Nothing in particular, except perhaps that today is the day you are finally released."

  1875. As she spoke, a portal was opened behind her- Reality torn asunder, freedom awaiting on the other side.
  1876.  
  1877. "Salvas and Sugarlad pestered me to go grab you immediately, mm. And here I was looking forward to talking to you… Oh well! Off we go!" And so she ventured into the portal, expecting the man to follow.

  1881. [21:12] Sugarboy says, "Perhaps another time, in Crafthold."
  1882. [21:12] Nyphadora says, "Ah, Crafthold..."
  1883. [21:12] Sugarboy stands and readily follows behind, eager to go.

  1887. [21:12] Nyphadora says, "They are no longer neutral."
  1888. [21:12] Nyphadora says, "They are against Dawn..."
  1889. [21:12] Nyphadora asks, "Are you from Crafthold?"
  1890. [21:12] Sugarboy says, "That so? Damn I'm gone for a couple months and Agartha falls to shit, haha~"
  1891. [21:13] Sugarboy says, "No, I'm not"
  1892. [21:13] Nyphadora says, "I'll take your word on it."
  1893. [21:13] Nyphadora exclaims, "You don't seem like a liar!"
  1894. [21:13] Reality itself is torn asunder, and with it, two individuals arrive- Nyphadora and Sugarboy!

  1905. [21:15] Sugarboy steps out into the darkness, holy shit it was really dark, and not just because he was wearing shades. He'd feel someone tackle him, and snap his night light on. Seeing it was Laddy he would laugh, pulling him into a hug.

  1913. [21:16] Artaghh says, "Yeah no worries."
  1914. [21:16] Sugarlad says, "You ain't leavin' Gehenna for awhile pa, I'm tellin' ya."
  1915. [21:16] Salvas Voss says, "mm.. Welcome back."
  1916. [21:16] Sugarboy says, "Oh I know, Laddy, I know."
  1917. [21:16] Salvas Voss says, "You can't die baldie."
  1918. [21:16] Sugarlad says, "I'm lockin' ya inside the house."

  1929. [21:18] Sugarboy says, "Don't capture me and I won't have to kill myself~"
  1930. [21:18] Nyphadora asks, "I wonder if I can remember how to rift to Gehenna?"
  1931. [21:18] Salvas Voss says, "I gues.."
  1932. [21:18] Sugarlad exclaims, "Don't worry Nyphadora, we'll walk back there. Aye!"
  1933. [21:18] Sugarlad exclaims, "Thanks for givin' back my father without beatin' him too much!"

  1935. [21:18] Nyphadora exclaims, "I didn't beat him!"
