  1. Everything is black to the viewer. Silence. After a moment, something happens. Static, as you would see on the old CRT televisions. what accompanied it was the sound of white noise, Eerie as it was. You cannot take your eyes away. Almost as if it were drawing you in, locking you in place with some invisible force. It was only seconds before the first images showed up. It was a jumbled mess of different broadcasts and other unintelligible sounds and information. You begin to hear the voices of thousands, all speaking at the same time. But there is one sound that kept growing and becoming more focused. It only took a few minutes when the images came into full view. It that of a TV Game show. This was confirmed, when the show's logo showed up in a very 70s era aesthetic. It had read.
  2.
  3. GET IT RIGHT OR SAY GOODNIGHT.
  4.
  5. A particularly enthusiastic voice had begun to speak. The origin of said voice was revealed to be the game show host. Sporting a grey suit and glasses. His hair was combed slick, the colour of it was light brown. Caucasian man with light blue eyes.
  6.
  7. “Hello! And welcome back to the show, before we left we ask our contestant to answer three questions correctly. And if he fails to get it right?” He looks to the crowd. Who in return all reply in unison “SAY GOODNIGHT!” Followed by cheering.
  8.
  9. “Mmmhmm, and you best get these answers right, Boy. because this is gon' be a bad one.. that's right” Said the co-host. Who sat on a brown couch next to the Host's desk, He was a heavier man. Was more casual in appearance; Red shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers. Short, he was a black man with a goatee.
  10.
  11. The camera pans to a man who is strapped into a chair. Above his head was a contraption bolted into the ceiling, protruding from it was a large drill bit aimed at the top of his head. He was breathing heavily, clearly afraid. The skin around his eyes were red and his face was puffy from tears. He had been crying.
  12.
  13. He was quivering with fear but managed to stutter out a few words.
  14.
  15. “P..Please I have a family... D..Don't do this oh god..”
  16.
  17. The crowd started to laugh at the mans pleas. He began to sob again.
  18.
  19. The screen cut back to the host who was smiling. “Alrighty let's get this started shall we? And remember He needs to answer all three, He can only fail two answers, Now let's get this started!”
  20. The crowd started to cheer again in excitement. “Ok. for our first question” he pauses as he reads the card in his hand. “What are the names of our saviours, Protectors of the mankind.”
  21.
  22. “Uh... U...It's.. “
  23.
  24. “Time is running out!”
  25.
  26. “Oh FUCK! Uh Kulh-” the man was cut off by a buzzer. Which was followed by “awww” by the crowd.
  27.
  28. “Oooooh. So close”
  29. “Now for the second question, remember you can only fail once. If you do, You'll have to say goodnight.” He stared at the contestant intensely. “The cards are random too, so it could be anything!” He shuffled and drew one.
  30.
  31. “Name 3 key ingredients found in pancakes, This'll be easy!” Said the host. The crowd laughing and cheering
  32.
  33. “Uh.. eggs! Flour and Milk!”
  34.
  35. There was a buzzer, only this one was different. The audience starting cheering once again. The host putting his arms up smiling “Told ya!”
  36.
  37. “Mmm Mmmm Boy I love me some pancakes, you know my mamma makes some good pancakes”
  38. The co-host said with a smile.
  39.
  40. “Really? You outta invite me over for breakfast” Replied the Host.
  41.
  42. “Can't Momma don't like men in suits”
  43.
  44. “Why's that?”
  45.
  46. “Because most of them are white”
  47.
  48. The host begins to laugh hysterically along with the audience. “Oh Noah you know how to make me luagh. Ehem.. Back to the show.” Drawing another card from the deck “Where was the first base of operations the Saviours established on earth”
  49.
  50. “Fuck... uh... ANARTICA!”
  51.
  52. “You're right!” Everyone was cheering now. “You just need one more answer right, But you only need to fail once as well. Get it Right!” Putting his hand to his ear to pretend he's listening to the audience, “OR SAY GOODNIGHT!” They shouted out.
  53.
  54. “Ok, This is for the win” He cleared his throat and drew another card
  55.
  56. “What were the first words that were spoken by our saviours during first contact”
  57.
  58. His heart dropped into his stomach, he was in full panic mode now, The man's mind was drawing blanks. He was sweating.
  59.
  60. “Time is running out” The man said pointing to the timer.
  61.
  62. Suddenly it hit the man. He knew the answer, he spoke out.
  63.
  64. “Have no fear, for we have come to help!”
  65.
  66. Everyone was silent. He was breathing heavily. He felt a tinge of hope inside him.
  67.
  68. The host looked at the card and back at the contestant, His facial expression alone was enough to kill that hope he felt inside, “I'm sorry, but you were close.. It's 'Fear not. for we have come to help'”
  69.
  70. The crowd all sighed in disappointment. “But you know what that means!?” The host shouted.
  71.
  72. “SAY GOODNIGHT!!” The audience cheered wildly. The man sat there deadpanned. He knew what was going to happen now. The drill started up and began to decent down to his head. Everyone was watching intently.
  73.
  74. The drill was loud. It screamed a horrific sound. The man closed his eyes. He then felt the drill break the skin, pulling on his hair, the pain of feeling his hair ripped out and his scalp being drilled open. He screamed in agony as the drill teared its way in. Blood began to flow from his head. Covering his face. He screamed and cursed profanity at everyone around him. But they only cheered at him even more. The drill made its way to the skull now. The sound of the drill screaming was now amplified as the sound was now inside his head. It was deafening. The sharp pain far more intense then ever. His agony was unending, for what seemed like hours were only a few minutes. Then it happened. The drill made its way into the skull. Penetrating his brain. The poor man tensed up, he felt his body convulse, It was if time slowed down for him. He began to shake violently, his eyes rolling behind his eye lids. Foam started to flow from his mouth. Everything started to fade into darkness.
  75.
  76. The drill stopped and everyone was silent. There sat the man. Covered in blood. His body stuck in the position of those final moments of pure agony. Everyone cheered.
  77.
  78. “Now I don't feel bad about my headaches” Commented the Co-host. Everyone started laughing in response.
  79.
  80. “Oh you, Well people! That's just about all the time we got, Next ti-”
  81.
  82. He was cut off by a sudden noise in the background. The Camera still rolling. Suddenly the host and the co-host got up and got on their knees and bowing down. There was a loud set of footsteps getting louder and louder. Everyone was silent. The source of the footsteps stepped into view, but the cameras cannot pick it up. The screen began to white noise and glitch wherever it stood. Obscured by it. It was at least twice the height of a human. It walked up to the host. There was a odd guttural noise that came from the creature. The microphones could not properly record it either. Each time it spoke it created static through the feed.
  83.
  84. It started to speak again. The host replied back to it “...Please.. Your greatness. Our saviour. W-what is it that brings you here?..”
  85.
  86. It spoke again, only this time it sounded more aggressive.
  87.
  88. “W..Wait what do you mean? I did what i was told too... It's gotta be some mistake.. I wouldn't have... Oh god PLEASE NO-” It grabbed him by the neck and brought up to its face level. His legs were only able to be seen, they were shaking and struggling.
  89.
  90. It was followed by his screams of terror. The sounds of muffled awful hysteria turned into a painful blood curdling scream. Then silence. His limp headless body fell on the desk, breaking it.
  91.
  92. The creature walked off screen and left the room.
  93.
  94. Whispers could be heard among the crowd. The Co-host walked into view, looking at the Host's lifeless body.
  95.
  96. “Well... Come in next time. Next week we're having a duo challenges. Where two contestants must work together to win” He looked at the host again “Daymn..”
  97.
  98. The view begins to static and the feed is cut off from the viewer. Its pure white noise again.
