- The weapons in the valut were all impressive in one way or another, relics that would be able to destroy buildings or heal wounds.
- The problem was that Andras was not looking to bring down a building. And most of these artifacts were one of a kind, too complex for the science ponies to understand. There was no way that Andras would be able to figure them out in the time it took the Wonderbolts to get down the stairs.
- He spotted something that looked like a music box out the corner of his eye, a simple wooden thing with a complex design spread across its surface.
- Andras did not know how it was that he knew, but in that moment he was aware that winding up the music box would bring everyone massive amounts of pain.
- Now, he most certainly didn't want massive amounts of pain, because pain happened to hurt a lot. However, the wonderbolts chasing them did not want massive amounts of pain either, which is exactly what he was planning to give them.
- He looked down at the simple brass key sticking out the side of the box. The key seemed to be calling for him, begging him to turn it and unleash its terrible powers upon the world.
- There were many things he could have done in this moment, one of those things being earning his friiend about what he wqa about to do.
- He wanted to turn the key so badly he didn't do this however, his hand stretching out and begining to rapidly turn the key around and power up the terrible device.
- Nothing happened for several moments, leaving him to stare silently down at the music box, waiting for something to happen.
- For a moment, it passed through his mind that this might have just been a normal music box and he had totally overreacted to it.
- It was then that the music started up. Out of all the decisions that Andras had made in life, out of all the lives he had ruined and the people he had killed, this was the decision that he regretted the most.
- It was as if his very soul was being raoed. The shrill, eldritch screeching punched at his ear drums like a hot knife trying to go through butter. He let out a cry that quickly became a howl, dropping to his knees as the agony washed over him.
