  1. Two black eyes snapped open accompanied with a startled gasp of a man who was strangled of air.
  2.
  3. As the world swam into focus, her eyes flickered wildly to the left and to the right, in a panic before they closed and their owner took a deep breath.
  4.
  5. And when they opened once more,
  6.
  7. She bore witness to the world that was tinted red, a deep and striking, almost burning red. Contrasting sharply against the night sky that seemed so fake and static compared to it's subtle vibrancy moments before.
  8.
  9. This was an unexpected sight, where was she? Did she die? Perhaps this was hell, Certainly, she of all people deserved to be here, after all she'd done, and for what she tried to do.
  10.
  11. But, there was no point in staying there lying in the ground. She had to get up and find out where she was, what she'd do after that, she did not know.
  12.
  13. As she slowly rose to her feet, she heard the noise of a car's horn and quickly turned her head to the source of the noise.
  14.
  15. Only to see the car that killed her baring down on her once more.
  16.
  17. She felt herself stiffen at the sight, staying in place like a deer frozen in the headlights, perhaps literally, as the car barreled down towards her with frightening speed, perhaps intent to kill her once more.
  18.
  19. As the car came closer and closer, she closed her eyes and wondered, when she opened them, would this all play out once more? Perhaps this was her punishment, to relieve her final moments again and again in a nightmarish loop. Never to escape and break free, only suffering in the torment of her final agonies until she broke. And most agonizingly, never seeing his kind face and smile ever again, the face and smile she tried to distance herself from, the one she loved, the reason why she was here.
  20.
  21. At that thought, she felt a pang on her chest, a pain she could not describe. A total feeling of loss that she felt would break her, faster than the agony of dying over and over again.
  22.
  23. And as the heat of the headlights washed over her and the roar of the engines rattled her bones, she steeled herself for the impact. She hoped that this would be the end of it, she hopes she would meet her oblivion.
  24.
  25. She hopes to see him again.
  26.
  27. The sound of a crash rings through her ears and her body stiffens in response.
  28.
  29. But she feels no pain. And she that she hears is the sputtering hiss of a car's engine.
  30.
  31. What happened? Why did she feel no pain? Was this part of her torment or did the car stop this time?
  32.
  33. Slowly, after what felt like an eternity, she cracks open her eyes
  34.
  35. And she felt herself freeze and what she saw.
  36.
  37. Herself.
  38.
  39. It was her, her body at least, laying limp, crushed and bloody on the ground. Barely clinging to life, even as her body struggled to remember how to breathe.
  40.
  41. She felt herself quiver, but she could not find it within herself to move or look away. She saw her body try to shift and turn, but due to her injuries, her body could barely move an inch before it spasmed in pain.
  42.
  43. Her mind raced to comprehend the sight before her, what was going on? Was this a trick? A part of her torment?
  44.
  45. Just what was going on?
  46.
  47. Just as she finally found herself able to move and reach out towards her body, he finally manages to turn his head and regard her with empty eyes and an equally empty smile.
  48.
  49. "Take... Care of him," wheezes her body, speaking with a broken and familiar voice, "Don't lose him ok?"
  50.
  51. What? What was He talking about?
  52.
  53. But before she could ask what he meant, the world erupted into chaos.
  54.
  55. The sky turned black, white and red; Space seemed to stretch and fixtures seemed to twist and multiply.
  56.
  57. Out of nowhere, flocks of crows took flight; A multitude of headlights from broken cars that came out of nowhere, shone into and seared her eyes.
  58.
  59. She heard the sound of hissing laughter, reminiscent of a snake seemed to ring inside her head, before all went dark.
  60.
  61. And she felt herself being swallowed up by darkness.
  62.
  63. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. Two electric blue, red ringed eyes snapped open, accompanied with a startled gasp.
  66.
  67. And a world bathed in black and red greeted her, filled with impossible lines.
  68.
  69. Shiki Ryougi let out a scream.
  70.
  71. And tried to claw out her eyes.
