  1. Q: What is this?
  2. A: I'm attempting to play through all versions of Link's Awakening for the Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Switch back-to-back. I think it'll be a fun challenge as all 3 versions present their own variation of speedruns. So it'll be interesting seeing different routes for the games.
  3.
  4. Q: Are these versions any different from each other?
  5. A: Casually, they are roughly the same as you are experiencing the same story and going through the same objectives. In a speedrun, all three versions are much different games as they each present different mechanics to perform different tricks. So the routes for all 3 games are different.
  6.
  7. Q: What categories are you running for all three games?
  8. A: Warpless for LA, Any% No WW/OoB No S+Q for LADX and Glitchless for LAS.
  9.
  10. Q: Why aren't you just running the true Any% categories for the games?
  11. A: For LA and LADX, true Any% is using a series of a bunch of out of bounds and wrong warp tricks that create potentially a 1-5 minute run. For LAS, true Any% uses a variety of hard tricks or luck-base tricks that are just not friendly to do in a back-to-back run like this. Plus I think Glitchless LAS follows up with what the main categories of LA and LADX are, which is beat the game as fast as possible without using major glitches and seeing most of what the games offer.
  12.
  13. Q: Will you be doing this again in the future?
  14. A: Absolutely.
  15.
  16. Q: What are your PBs for all 3 games?
  17. A: 47:13 for LA, 55:33 for LADX and 1:56:59 for LAS. So this whole run is estimate to be at least a 4 hour run
  18.
  19. Q: What are you using to play the games?
  20. A: For LA and LADX, I am using BGB emulator. For LAS, I am on a original Nintendo Switch using a Gamecube controller through via a Gamecube adapter.

  22. I'll add more questions to these later. Otherwise, you are free to ask any questions you'd like during this long ride.
