starlight studios was founded in 1987 by the reyer family. it is located in sunny los angeles, california. home of the fresh new faces of hollywood. they are famous for many blockbuster films but currently producing their first tv show, college life.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE PREVIEWS?

college life is a new show based off the lives of ten college freshmen learning to survive at their new school. their choices, either good or bad, could determine who they are in the real world. college isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. there will be heartbreak, lies, cheating and constant deceit in the circle and with some of their peers.

OFF THE SET

there is a misconception on set that all actors are best friends and enjoy each other’s company. that is usually not the case. the drama will continue off screen and in the trailers as the cast and crew navigate through the first season and all of the events that come with the job.

adele flanagan- the main character. she moves into the dorm for her freshmen year with best friend and roommate lena nolan. she wants to make the most out of college and come out on top. sometimes she listens to her brother about enjoying life and letting the small things go. she doesn’t want to get tied down by relationships. she is an english major. age 18-19. [this role has been filled.]

lena nolan- best friend to adele. she is a party girl. she gets drunk every weekend and sometimes week nights. her only worry right now is climbing up the social ladder. she is a journalism major. closet lesbian. she hooks up with ayden and will hook up with dia in the future. she’s latina. age 18-19.

diamond ashton- the queen bee. she runs the show on the dorm floor. she knows everything about everyone. if you need gossip, you find her. she’s a fashion design major. best friends with christian. she’s african american. age 18-19.

claudia merrill- goes by ‘dia’. she’s the activist. the fights for the rights of everyone. she has a nose ring and wears a lot of black. she’s an art major. she’s also an out and proud lesbian. future hook up with lena. roomates with mari. age 18-19. [this role has been filled.]

mari leonard- the wallflower. she knows a lot about her floor mates but always hides in the back of the crowd. her ears are always open and ready to spill the beans. she’s a photography major. she is good friends with carlos. roommates with dia. age 18-19. [this role has been filled.]

tyler ferguson- the scholarship athlete. he has played sports his entire life but hates it and wishes to study art. he is a freshmen. he is currently a business major. he is bisexual. he hooks up with alex at his first frat party. age 18-19. [this role has been filled.]

lucas johnson- the stoner friend. he gives good discounts for everyone that lives on his floor. he is a sophomore. he is a general studies major. he has hooked up with sioban. he does not know what he wants for his future. age 18-19.

carlos fernandez- the nerdy computer tech. he fixes everyone’s computers and phones for a small fee. he is a seventeen year old freshmen. he is an informatics major. he is good friends with mari. he is latino. age 18-19.

christian whittle- the drama king. he designs clothes. he is a music theatre major. he comes from a small town that never let him shine bright. he likes to stir up a little trouble with diamond to keep things interesting. he’s gay. age 18-19.

ayden pierce- the life of the party. he constantly persuades lena to party with him. they have hooked up a few times. he knows where all the fun is happening on campus. any night of the week. he’s a sports medicine major. he’s african american. age 18-19.

alex flanagan- older brother to adele. he’s a fraternity president. he majors in philosophy and loves to have a good time. he often tells his sister to relax. he is pansexual and hooks up with tyler at his first frat party. age 21-22. [this role has been filled.]

aseema patil- the resident adviser for the floor. the mom for all the freshmen students. she’s a junior in college and business major. she wants to open a multi-million dollar company in the future. she’s muslim. age 20-21.

siobhan merrick- teaching assistant. she does not put up with any bullshit. she is very strict and won’t hesitate to give a bad grade for poor work. she has a soft interior but hardly shows it. she’s a first year grad student and has hooked up with lucas. age 22-23. [this role has been filled.]

jeremy bernard- teaching assistant. ex boyfriend of sioban. he’s more fun loving and relaxed. he majors in psychology and is always up for a jam session on his guitar or drums. he is a first year grad student. he has a crush on adele since their first meeting. age 22-23. [this role has been filled.]

jasmine santos- the friendly classmate. she is part of the welcoming committee and student council. she wants everyone to join the same clubs as her. she comes off very forward which turns people off but really she’s just looking for a friend. she’s a sophomore and veterinary medicine major. she’s latina. age 20-22. [this role has been filled.]
