Osprey and Yang: Jail Episode

Inside the county jail, Poor Ruby was thrashing on the bars with Flora as her siblings, Osprey and Yang, passed the time laying about in their cell with Osprey on the bed laying down with his hands behind his head and legs crossed over one another as Yang was sitting down against the bed. Their own monsters, Kyo and Iori, was also passing the time as the latter was doing push-ups as the former was doing sit-ups.

"HEY GUARDS?!? I'M INNOCENT, LET ME OUT PLEASE!!!" Ruby's constant yelling was doing her no help as the guards either ignored her or told her to shut up. She finally does so as she sinks to her knees and curl up, doing her best not to cry as Flora pats her back. "This isn't how I wanted to start my day..."

"....Yang." Yang turn her head to her brother as he point upwards. "I think this is the same cell we were in last time..." "(Last time!??!)" Ruby raise her head a bit as she look over at the twins and listen as Yang look up and blink. "Oh...isn't that the same hole you made when you threw a pebble at it?" That hole was the size of a quarter and yet one can see the sunlight peeking through it with Osprey nodding. "Yeah...."

"How could.." Ruby sniffles as she wipes her eyes, her siblings glancing at her as their monsters continues to work out. "How could you guys be so calm in such a dire time?!? We're in jail!! where baddies reside in!!"

The twins share a look at each other and shrugs before looking at Ruby with Osprey speaking up. "This is our 35th time in here.."

Ruby couldn't believe her ears and zoned out mentally as Yang frowns and turn to Osprey. "Nah, this is our 36th time..." Her brother raise an eyebrow at her and lay down on his side to face her. "Are you sure about that? This has to be the 35th time..." "Nono, this is the 36th time...the 35th time was when we went to Taco Bell, asked for some tacos with no tomatoes..." Osprey soon finishes after Yang as he recall the memory with a scowl. "And then we told them about it, asked them to give us new ones...and then they refused...." He sighs and turns over with a scowl. "...Fucking Seiros, thanks for that..."

Yang pats his back with her trademark stoic face. "Sorry, bro.." "(35th time....35th time...) " Poor Flora was shaking her trainer to get her out of her stupor until Yang called out to her. "Is this your first time in jail?" Ruby blinked multiple times before coming back to this plane of reality as she frowns. "Yes...and it should be the last one." "(I hope...)" She mentally adds as she sighs and scoot over to where the Branwens was at with Flora doing the same.

"....So what about that Geonyte shortage?" Osprey ask while still facing the wall, no longer annoyed. Ruby blinks as she remembered what she told them. "Oh!...Well..it's a shortage on Geonyte fuel. Which not only means that our gadgets will be unable to work once they run out of their current stock, but if this continues then we would have to cancel the Advancement Cups." She frowns as she look down with Flora chirping sadly and doing the same.. "This happened so soon..." Yang rubs her chin in thought. "Must had went down last night while we were practicing our band duties."

"Wait, you guys play instruments?" Ruby's eyes glow with excitement as the twins nods. "Yeah, I play the bass guitar and Yang's on the saxophone." "It's pretty fun to do, we've been doing it since we were kids cause of mom." As she listens to them, Ruby uncurl and sit down with her legs crossed now. "That's pretty cool...what else do you guys do?" Osprey turn over and look at her. "I am an amateur writer." "And I'm an amateur manga artist. He write the scenes down and I draw them as I see fit."

"That's so cool..." Ruby smiles as she and Flora share a look and nod as she look back at them. "Well, I used to run track...I'm pretty fast, you know?" She chuckles and rubs the back of her head. "Well, not that fast anymore...haven't practiced in a while." "Impressive.." Yang nods with a small smile as Ruby makes an agreeing noise. "Mhm, I was so fast, some people claimed I was mixed with Hare blood!"

"Not bad." Osprey mutters as he look over to Flora's at. "So why Mocchi as your first monster?" Ruby giggles as she hugs her monster, getting a happy chirp from her. "Well, that's easy! I think they're so cute!" The twins nods, accepting that answer. "So why Garus?" Ruby decided to ask them the same question. "We both like them a lot to the point of them being our favorites.." Kyo smiles widely upon hearing Yang's answer as Iori struggles to hide his own during their exercises. "So how do you train them?" "That's easy..." Osprey answers her as the 3 teens pass the time talking among themselves form various topics about monsters and themselves even. Time went by to the point that it was now the afternoon as they hear footsteps with a woman that looks like an adult Ruby jogging towards the bars and grab them like her daughter did.

"RUBY ROSE, WHAT DID YOU GET YOURSELF INTO?!?" "MOM!!" Ruby sprints to the bars and grab them like her mom is doing as they both get into a screaming match.
"MOM, I CAN EXPLAIN EVERYTHING!"
"YOU BETTER! CAN YOU IMAGINE MY SHOCK AND FEAR WHEN I GOT A CALL FROM THE POLICE CONCERNING YOU BEING IN HERE?!? HOW IN SOTHIS'S NAME DID YOU GET IN HERE?!?"
"MOM, MY SIBLINGS WAS ANGRY ABOUT THE GEONYTE SHORTAGE AND THRASHED THE GADGET SHOP!!"

Hearing 'siblings' made the woman blink as she sees the twins behind Ruby waving at her casually with their monsters. "Oh...You two are Raven's kids..." The woman clears her throat and adjust her clothing consisting of a white cloak covering a black vest with a white shirt underneath it and black jeans and red shoes. "Hello, I'm--"

"Summer Rose." Osprey answers for her. "Dad's wife." Yang finishes for them both as Summer nods rather hesitantly, not expecting them to know that. "Ah...ye-yes I am..Didn't expected you to know who I am.."

"Mom told us about you..." Osprey sit up on the bed. "Said interesting things about you.." Yang adds on as Kyo and Iori stands up and walk next to their trainers. Summer, feeling kinda uneasy, gulps as she can only imagine what Raven told her kids about her. "Mom, they're not bad despite being in here for the 35th time.." Ruby chuckles nervously as Summer's eyes widen "35TH TIME!??!"

"Actually, it's 36th time.." Yang add on stubbornly.

"............"
Summer could only rubs her forehead to calm her headache before sighing and clapping her hands. "Right...so good news...I have paid you 3's bails of about 10K. Not much, but please do not do this again." Yang snorts with a smirk. "No promises, Mrs Xiao-Long." "...right..." As she fumbles in her coat for the key, Osprey sighs and walk over to the bars and just casually rip them off and create a make shift door. Scaring the fuck out of the Roses who hug each other tightly as well as Flora.

"OH GOOD SOTHIS ABOVE, HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?" Summer shouts as Ruby shivers. "Mo-Mom, they are ni-nice people, I swear!!" "DO NICE PEOPLE JUST CASUALLY BAIL THEMSELVES OUT OF JAIL WITH FORCE?!?" Osprey, still holding the bars, shrugs as he and the others get out of the cell with the Roses slowly following them. As they get into the lobbies, one can see the Police Chief whacking his hat on his 2nd-in-command shouting how the twins can't keep getting out of the cells so easily and to get even stronger metal bars. The Roses and the Twins all head outside with their monsters as Osprey look at the bars in his hands. "...We can use this..." Yang nods as she look for their car and spot it. "There's our ride.."
The twins nod as they turn to Ruby and Summer and wave at them. "See ya around, sis and Step-Mom." "Ste-step mom?" Summer asked in a confused manner before getting hugged by the twins at the same time, they being taller than she is by a head. "Yes...since you're Ruby's mom and is dad's wife..you're our step-mom" Osprey add as they let her go as he pets Ruby's head and nods. "Be safe, sis."
"Bye bye..." Yang wave at them as she and her brothers along with Iori and Kyo head to their car and get inside before they drive off. ".....They are indeed Raven's kids.." Summer mutters and sighs. "Well, they aren't really bad at all...weird, but...who isn't weird?" Ruby puffs her chest out with her hands on her hips. "I like them, however dangerous it is to be around them..."

"Ruby..." Before Summer could even speak up, Ruby groans and turn to her with a frown. "Moooom..I know you and Raven aren't friends, but you can at least TRY to be nice to my siblings..." "I-I did! I paid for their bails!" Summer looks aghast at the accusation with Ruby squinting her eyes at her. "Did you do it to be nice or cause you know Dad would had asked you to and be upset if you didn't..."

Summer stares at her. "Ruby, I don't think that's an armor-piercing question like you think it is..." Ruby continue staring at her before both her stomach and Flora's rumble, causing her to blush. "....If you feed me and Flora, consider us even."
"Deal.." Summer chuckles as they head to her very expensive car and drive off to get some food...
"So....Ruby's cool...Summer's ok..." Osprey mumbles as he drives towards their home. "....I wonder what does dad see in her." Yang asked and lean back in her chair. "Meh, who cares...how do you think this Geonyte shortage gonna affect the nation..?" "Pfft." Yang scowls and begin to close her eyes. "We will be fine...."


The next 2 weeks would prove Yang oh so wrong....
