  1. The following is pretty brief, but can give you a good understanding of my knoweldge of the class. Understand hunter's are a lot more complex then this Hunters in MoP right now are extremely situation based. This allows us to keep adept and used for many encounters and one of the reasons we are so strong right now. As a hunter I am constantly theorycrafting, min-maxing, and keeping in line with all the utility and learning new ways to maximize my DPS and benefit to a raid. I have been playing a hunter for years now, and have adept knowledge of the entire class, with MoP I have learned all the changes and continue to learn all the changes that are comming out. Stat Priorities: Currently hunters stat priorities are fairly simple. For the simplest breakdown of our stat priority you can break it down as follows: Hit 7.50% (2550 rating) == Exp 7.50% (2550 rating) > Agility >>>>>>>> Crit > Mastery >>> Haste Further evaluating our stats through simcrafting and testing, Critical strike and mastery work well together, but Crit is still the number 1 most valued secondary stat after agility. Regardless a balance of mastery when played right can work very well in conjunction with crit. Mastery increases our pet damage and is a sole stat that scales for our pet. It is important to combine your mastery well with your crit. Haste is unimportant as long as your able to get your 3 cobra shots in between your 6 seconds. This is extremely easy to achieve, especially with haste buffs provided to raids making. The tiny haste values hunters need (Anything to allow you to get 3 cobra shots in between the 6 second window period cooldown of Kill Comamand) to achieve are extremely easy to get without any reforging/enchants/or anything, making haste worthless. Haste is also not good at all for Survival. Hit and Expertise are capping at 7.50%. With MoP expertise is now a valued stat because MoP has made it so mobs can dodge our auto-shots, making expertise having to cap around 2550 rating for 93+ mobs. Beast Mastery is the current top single target and generally preferred spec for most hunters, but Survival is absolutely essential for movement and heavy AoE/control fights like Will of the Emperor.

  3. Our Talents in MoP: Tier 1 talents should generally be Crouching Tiger for the decreased cooldown of deterrence. This helps for all fights hunters need to soak damage (Heroic Stoneguard for soaking traps, or will of the emperoer for soaking sparks, or any fights like those) For Tier 2 its situation based. On a fight such as Will of the Emperor your going to want Binding Shot to control the adds. If I need to silence for a fight like Spirit Kings I will use Silencing shot, and Wyvern Sting if im ever assigned a job that I need to (Generallly never ever used in Pve). Tier 3 talent Aspect of the Dragonhawk is a must. Tier 4 is more of a toss-up. Dire Beast is hands down the best currently for Beast Mastery, its about a 3-4k DPS increase and regenerates focus. The best part to is that Dire beast scales with our mastery stat, and our mastery increases our pet damage, so for BM this is definitely a top choice. Fervor is a focus regneration tool, and can be good for Survival and possibly Marksmanship. Fervor is simming higher DPS-wise (very slightly) because as said before Dire Beast scales off of mastery, and BM mastery increases pet damage. Fervor, when used right, can be very useful for Survival. Knowing when to manage Fervor is a must, because if your going to be using it at near focus-cap or combined with haste buffs, its pretty useless. When using Fervor correctly, it can work very well for Survival. Thrill of the hunt will be used for extreme movement/AoE fights. Tier 5: Lynx rush is hands down my preferred choice here. Muder of crows is a good choice if you can have full uptime of your crows and constantly use it off cooldown. Full uptime of Crows sims higher in terms of single target DPS (Possibly for an ultraxion type fight), but lynx rush is a much better choice for most situations, especially with AoE, and single target sims of Lynx Rush also show it doing very well for single target. Combining Lynx Rush with Bestial Wrath is a huge DPS as well, making it very valuable for BM hunters in AoE fights. Blink Strike is generally considered a PvP ability, I have found no use for it yet. Tier 6: Glaive toss is my most preferred choice for most situations. Barrage is the prefferred choice for heavy AoE fights and add fights. Barrage seems to be good for fights with as multitude of adds that you need to get down very quickly. Glaive toss for most fights in general.

  5. unter Priority system: In terms of the actual priority system, its fairly complex to master but simple to learn and based heavily on your masterting of your cooldowns. For the Beast Mastery rotation, ill say it in a much more simplified version, but understand that it is very situational and much more complex. Apply hunters mark > Serpent once (refreshed with cobra) > KC off cooldown > Focus Frenzy at 5 stacks (Not combined with Bestial Wrath) > Gliave shot off cooldown (asssuming single target or 2 targets) > Arcane shot focus dump or with excess focus > Cobra shot within your 6 second window period between kill command. Generally you need to always make sure you have focus for kill command when it comes off cooldown. AoE situations are simple. Nothing has changed really for that except Barrage for heavy AoE situations. Multi Shot, Cobra shot to build focus, and explosive trap Cooldowns can really make or break a good hunter, especially for Beast Mastery. As a BM hunter we possess a few powerful cooldowns (Im not including our talent cooldowns now) Rapid Fire: This is a weird cooldown, as it increases RANGED haste, not haste in general. Haste in general increases melee and ranged haste. Our pets scale off of melee haste, and very few hunters know this. Regardless this should be used off cooldown most of the time, but should not ever be combined with major haste buffs, as focus capping can severely backfire on your DPS. Bestial Wrath: Our best 1 minute cooldown, should always be used. This costs no focus and no cooldown, and provides a powerful buff to our pet and to my hunter as well. Kill Command should be used right after Bestial Wrath, and as said before Bestial Wrath should be combined with Lynx Rush. Also focus frenzy should not be used to consume your frenzy stacks on your pet when Bestial Wrath is up, so your pet can retain its Frenzy and combine it with the damage increase of Bestial Wrath. Readiness: Readiness refreshes our cooldowns below 5 minutes., and I use it immediatly after my opening rotation so I can blow my cooldowns again as soon as they come off. Readiness does not get rid of stampede's cooldown because it is 5 minutes long. Stampede: Stampede should be used at the start, and due to its 5 minute cooldown, your only going to get 1 or 2 off during a fight, usually just 1. Stampede with Bestial Wrath, lynx rush, rapid fire all lined up right can be scary DPS. Brief talk about glyphs: Glyph of Endless Wrath is pretty mandatory for pet survivability reasons as BM Glyph of No Escape for increasing my damage by slowed mobs, and Glyph of marked for death for target switching. Professions Engineering is the top choice for all top hunters, the goggles right now are BiS and with cog-wheel slots work amazingly well. The tinkers are also quite nice as well. My waist tinker can provide a great speed boost which can help on progression, and my gloves for an agility boost of 1290 every minute which when used off cooldown works very well to boost my damage. Jewelcrafting provides an extra 320 agility from using 2 of the Jewelcrafting exclusive Delicate Serpents eye.
