» personality:
     > VENUS / yeowang is the kindred spirit of the two. she doesn't have a rotten bone in her body, or so she seems, and she always finds something in another person in order to forgive them. her first sudden impulse is to ask someone 'how are you?' or 'how was your day?' and judging by their voice can tell their whole life story. her concern and her kind words are comforting, but to a newcomer, they can be at the very least confusing and a little suspicious. she acts too good to be true, and it often freaks out people when they first meet. she acts like a doll, perfect, until you do something wrong.

her motherly love is often at some sort of prize, which is usually a compliment or a simple 'thank you', otherwise she turns sour and acts coldly. for example, if you got hurt and she clean the wound, but you didn't thank her, she would probably hit your wound in spite. just like a mother would, she tends to stop randomly and give life lessons and lectures. it's out of habit, and afterwords she would claim it was to 'help with your attitude'. she does have some form of hierarchy complex where she and her twin are seated at the top.

she's relatively reserved unless there was an element of concern, and she is always willing to take risks in order to be selfless and save a large group of people. living as a homeless person for a majority of her life, she doesn't have exposure to outside cultures and views, so remains very introverted and is very confused by things such as internet, technology and necessities such as shopping or a soft bed. she's very sensitive, however, so if she's made fun of she would usually be brought to tears. in her world, it's her and her brother, and everyone else is her responsibility. she tends to put the needs of others over logic or emotion, and would do whatever to save the people she loves. she's not academically smart, but knows a lot about survival and thriving in the worst of situations. she loves conversations and would be willing to talk about the darkest subject matters.

     > MARS / bulgae was sort of forced into his sister's twisted ideology at a young age and grew up to be very violent and anger-fueled. unlike his sister, he's more likely to rely on emotion and is less selfless. though he has the same values as his sister, he has some idea of the people he wants to keep close and the people he wants to keep away. if you become friends with him, prepare for his very protective and loving attitude towards you.

bulgae has severe anger issues, but usually he's very stable. therefore he can play a facade of a gentle, honourable man for quite a long time. but there would be an event where he would snap, and he would go on an alright rage. there are some times where his sister had worried if he was the danger instead of a saviour, like her. signs of his anger are his sudden quietness. he would refuse to speak for minutes. and it's usually when he begins to speak again when his anger really beings to grow.

however, he has always been improving on his attitude. he utilises his anger by helping others, caring for others, and putting himself in front of others. he tells himself, 'i could kill them, i could accidentally hurt them, i need to show them i care'. unlike his sister, his caring nature isn't for personal gain. he loves to talk, about various subjects, and is very interested in people who can keep a conversation. he has a very noticeable sense of humour, and loves to crack jokes. he's very invested in therapeutic activities, like tongue twisters or painting, and you can always hear him muttering something like 'red lorry, yellow lorry' and laughing to himself when he gets it wrong. he's a very gentle being, but only at first glance. very like his sister, he's a risk taker and lacks academic knowledge, but he thrives for adventure and learning about the world around him.

» background: yeowang and bulgae were both found in the grounds of an abandoned tramway. they were both found and raised by two runaway women, who shortly disappeared after both of the twins turned 6. their birthdates were the day they were found, and no one knows their real names or parents. after the adults disappeared. the twins then created a small group of abandoned children who all thrived and lived together in the tramway. as the eldest of the group, their responsibility [said yeowang] was to look after the children as the two adults had looked after them. bulgae didn't care for this attitude, insisting they should both leave together and survive together. as a child, bulgae was very aloof and refused to look after the other children, but instead began to warm to the feeling of caring for those underneath him. yeowang's job was to stay and made sure the kids were sleeping properly while junhui left to steal food and scraps of metal to sell. at the age of 19 they officially left the tramway, issuing the responsibility to the second eldest to look after the coming children. kyunghui and junhui both left and got jobs. they are still unable to live in a house, and they currently reside in a garden shed at the back of a scrapyard.

her petty nature came across when the two women first found her. she prioritised her and her brother's safety before anyone else's and trusted her 'mothers' to favouritise her. when they suddenly disappeared she had no stable platform to rely on. her safety wasn't compromised. bulgae's wasn't either but what she found was that she didn't care; which was evident in the attitude she gave to him. she nearly lost her brother as she lost her mothers and she fears one day it'll happen again. the truth is, she thrives on attention and love and happiness. if that disappears, she'll disappear with it.

[2] HER BROTHER.
she fears that one fine day that the lid bulgae's anger is contained underneath will soon be blown open. she's seen what has nearly happened once to him; he was almost burned alive. she wants nothing more than to let bulgae be happy. she progressingly sees that bulgae becomes happier with the crowd he is around. she realises that maybe all she has to do, is let go.

[3] FEAR.
she's fond of the saying 'there's nothing to fear but fear itself'. if she is in a situation where she is scared of something, she wouldn't be able to handle it. this gets stronger as she and her teammates face dangers.

[4] FAILURE.
her ultimate goal is to protect those underneath her. if they somehow get hurt in a fatal way or even worse, die, she'll be crushed. literally.

[5] FIRE.
bad things always follow fire. one day, bulgae's anger was so great that in the middle of the night he brought a little pack of gasoline and poured it aimlessly around the tramway. a match or two, and the whole thing was up in flames. luckily a person just passing by happened to spot the smoke and call the ambulance. bulgae just about survived, but the burn marks on his back were painfully obvious. she still has nightmares about that night; seeing the flames and bulgae's insane smile in the middle of the fire. sometimes she hears his choked laughs randomly.

as soon as she was able to walk, the 'mothers' taught her everything they knew. this included first aid, which required a basic level of using natural ailments to treat wounds.

she knows how to deal with very dark subjects, but she's very exceptional with talking about death. she has experienced it on a number of occasions, and knows the right things to say.

[3] CLIMBING.
living in a tramway means there had to be some way to pass the time. she loves scaling the brick walls though she can never get that far up, she can do it quickly and quietly.

[4] STEALING/PICKPOCKETING.
though she's not as good as bulgae, she has some sort of raw talent for stealing. it's just a shame her efforts come short of her brothers. (evident from her clothes and belongings).

when he's lost sight of his true goal and where he's headed, he would climb to the top of the tramway and just sit there, watching the sky. he thinks watching the sky when he's hotheaded, makes him tranquil and calm. he can calm down when he watches the sky.

[2] FIRE.
watching fire sometimes calms him down, or so he thinks. he likes watching a tiny spark billow into a huge flame. he gets mystified by it, and it's been a long time since he's let it nearly kill him because of his anger, but it could very, very easily happen again.

[3] POETRY.
from the way he speaks to the way he envisions practically screams poetry. he's a very big fan of symbolism and believes everything had a purpose in life.

[4] SUPERSTITION.
he's very superstitious, and really, he uses superstition as a coping mechanism for his anger. he often knocks on wood, has a lucky chant (his tongue twisters) and screams if you put shoes on a surface above the floor.

the women who looked after him once told him that they would achieve great things one thing. he didn't believe them at all, and now he thinks back he's glad he didn't. he always thinks, 'what would those people think if they say them now?'. he doesn't even know what their names are, or what they look like anymore.

his love and his compassion didn't come easily. true love and true care is even harder to come across. if he's ever rejected, it would only fuel his anger.

[3] MANY TYPES OF FOODS.
he's a picky-eater and is willing to pick a fight if he can't eat something he wants to. sweet foods make him sick, spicy foods make him sweat. but now he usually just eats the food without complaining.

[4] DROWNING.
he doesn't know where this fear came from. he has never been near a large body of water. or been close to drowning. he can just imagine the water clogging his lungs.

unlike his sister, who does it for her own sake, bulgae has begun to actually love and respect other people for who they are and for their own wants and needs. it's another reason why people prefer bulgae to yeowang.

YEOWANG and BULGAE have both killed people, multiple times, during their tramway days.
it was a sort of accident at first. yeowang needed to protect the kids then just sort of got... addicted to it. bulgae's 'murder' was more of an accident, in the fire that he created. but both of them have killed many, many people.

    > how would it affect the others?
their love interests would be told a slightly different story, so they would be more accepting, but they would instantly hate the two. they would see them as hypocrites, because they always go on about righteous acts and then they go and murder people? and they could always kill them too! this is clearly a sign that they should have never been trusted in the first place.

    > how does it affect them?
bulgae is a little more loved than yeowang is, so he doesn't mind it (he knew it would come eventually), but yeowang? yeowang was crushed. trust is the vital meshing between anything and now that it's gone, how were they supposed to do anything?

bulgae thinks that yeowang is clearly some sort of a monster, and doesn't agree with her twisted mindset.

BEGINNING: they did not get on well, at all. ROLEX's expensive looking figure next to her drab and frankly disgusting outfit made her overly jealous. but one look at her face and she was gone. she was beautiful, and honestly, the first time she laid eyes on her, her cheeks erupted in a hard blush and she refused to speak. but her attitute was quite the turn-off. ROLEX refused to speak about anything or show any bouts of affection and it was really ticking yeowang off.

MIDDLE: she decided to speak to bulgae about her feelings, because she was clearly frustrated and confused. bulgae just says 'there's a difference between 'lust' and 'love', hwanghu. maybe you just liked her face.' soon enough, yeowang was acting normally again.
until it was revealed that ROLEX had a crush on one of the twins.

END: no matter what attitude she was given, she followed ROLEX around everywhere, trying to find out which one she had a crush on. when that didn't work, she got others to do it as well, bribing them with sweet stashes and all sorts. she knew that bulgae was, indeed, gay, and told everyone it was to prevent her heart being broken, but really? it was so she could confess her feelings.
but ROLEX was smart, and she knew where yeowang was coming from. and she finally told her.

and both yeowang and ROLEX are heart-broken.

BEGINNING: at first, bulgae couldn't get why subin kept avoiding him. but the freckles on his face and neck that looked like constellations made him so calm; just being around his soul to rest. he didn't really link it to romantic feelings, but he definitely felt an attraction to him that he couldn't explain.

MIDDLE: it wasn't long before he gave special attention and special love and care for subin. though everyone but the two of them actually realised it. he would go to the roof at night as an excuse just to see subin and to have one of their interesting conversations. it became more apparent to him that he was maybe in love with him.

END: that night where subin tried to kiss him, he attempted to kiss him back. when subin ran away, he ran after him. he screamed, 'i love you! i do! say it back!' and when subin refused to turn back he broke down completely. his number one wish is to let subin know exactly how much he had healed him.
