  1. **This is a brand new story of Anon who finds himself in an awkward position to help the satyr daughter of Celestia reclaim the throne after being accused of a heinous crime.
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6. >Holding a cool glass in one hand, you bring it to your lips and sip on the frothy brew.
  7. >Carefully, you watch with discerning eyes as a gentleman takes aim with a small dart.
  8. >There’s no way he can make the shot.
  9. >Biting his lower lip, he hurls the dart forward and it lands with a thunk on the board.
  10. >You both quickly move in to examine where it fell.
  11. >It was just above the mark by a hair.
  12. >He grits his teeth in defeat as you almost burst out laughing and take another drink of your beer.
  13. “Oh man, I thought you almost had it.”
  14. >”I can still pay to have another go, eh?” He twirls the last dart in his large hands.
  15. “That’s right, just a dollar for three darts.”
  16. >You turn to the patrons of the bar that gathered to see what was going on.
  17. “If you can land all three darts onto that twenty dollar bill posted on the dartboard, you keep that twenty and I’ll buy you a beer.”
  18. >A mixture of excitement and chatter rises from the crowd as they eagerly pull out dollar bills from their wallets.
  19. >Suckers....
  20. >Already your plastic pitcher was filling up with more bills and not a single person has managed to hit all three darts onto that twenty dollar bill.
  21. >A young lady hands you two dollars for a couple of turns. You quickly explain the rules to her.
  22. “Okay, your first shot is on the line. Second is you take a step forward and then your last will be a step back away from the line. Got it?”
  23. >She nods while keeping her focus.
  24. >And as you expect, she didn’t manage to hit her mark.
  25. >In a way, you kind of felt sorry for these folks.
  26. >Sorry they were falling for it!
  27. >All eyes are on a meager twenty dollars, but your pitcher had at least fifty plus in it.
  28. >By taking all those steps forward and back, their aim is being thrown off. Even the ones that were supposed to be good at darts have great difficulty with it.
  29. >Eventually you had to call it quits for the night.
  30. >As soon as the crowd was starting to dissipate, you gathered your earnings discreetly and make your way to another bar.
  31. >A couple city blocks later and you’re at your new target.
  32. >Inside it was rather quiet, the occasional clack of a cue ball cracking, chatter and background music.
  33. >Your eyes scan the room and find a table with two females and two males.
  34. >Perfect.
  35. >You walk up to the bar and wave to one of the girls with a friendly smile.
  36. “I don’t mean to interrupt, but I think we used to go to the same middle school.”
  37. >The party looks at you as the one girl squints her eyes at you suspiciously. “Pardon me?”
  38. “Yeah, middle school! I was that kid with the glasses that sat near the back of the class?”
  39. >Of course this was a complete lie.
  40. >You had no idea who this girl was, but you needed to gain their trust somehow.
  41. >She scans you more intensely before her eyes widen. “Oh my gosh, I think I remember you. Were you the one that got in trouble for flipping the teachers desk?”
  42. >You smirk and hold your arms out.
  43. “The very same!”
  44. >”I thought you looked familiar. I’m sorry but what’s your name? I forgot.”
  45. “Don’t worry about it. The name is Anon.”
  46. >”Well, what brings you here?” She asks inquisitively.
  47. >You place your hands on the table and lean in towards them.
  48. “I was just out with some friends and lost them, but I saw you and instantly recognized you. Hope I’m not barging in on your night out.”
  49. >”Don’t worry about it, we’re just about to head out anyways.”
  50. >It was now or never.
  51. “Wait, before you go, I got this cool game we can play. Do you want to try and see if you can win some money?”
  52. >They all look to each other and nod. One of the guys replies eagerly, “Hell yeah, bud. I’m good at these bar games.”
  53. >We’ll see about that, chump....
  54. >You turn around, grab an empty chair and pull it up to their table and take your seat.
  55. “Alright, this is how it works...”
  56. >Cracking your knuckles, you reach into your pockets and pull out a couple of one dollar bills.
  57. “Everyone needs a couple of dollars to play. No quarters.”
  58. >The party quickly cough up the dough.
  59. “Okay, so let’s put these guys face up so we can look at Washington’s beautiful face. Now we do this in turns. You start at one bill that’s facing up.”
  60. >You place your finger on one of the many bills.
  61. “Then starting on that as one, you count up to four either right or left. The one you land on needs to be flipped over. That dollar bill cannot be started on once it’s flipped over.”
  62. >Running a quick demonstration they all agree that they understand the rules.
  63. “Alright, and whoever has the most flipped over at the end keeps the cash. If it’s a tie then the two can split the pot, deal?”
  64. >The guys and gals agree feeling confident in their bill flipping abilities.
  65. “Ladies first.” You gesture to the both of them.
  66. >Each contestant has their own take on how to solve it.
  67. >The first tries to do it in clockwise pattern, but leaves three facing up.
  68. >By the time the last gentleman has his go, only two are left looking upwards. “So does that mean I win?” He asks eagerly.
  69. “I think I got this, but it’s hard to beat two.”
  70. >Again, this is a complete lie.
  71. >Carefully you flip the bills over all the while making it seem you weren’t sure.
  72. >But following the right pattern, you manage to leave only one dollar bill facing up.
  73. “Holy crap, that was a close game.”
  74. >One of the girls ask, “Is it possible to have them all facing down?”
  75. “I’m not entirely sure, but that was a fun game. You guys will have to try it at your next party, if you can leave at least two up, that will win you the game for sure.”
  76. >They look at their phones and realize they need to be going.
  77. >With a wave and a smile you wish them a good night.
  78. >You got your easy earnings for the week, and that was just the start of it.
  79. >As you walk out into the city streets to find your car, you rub your fingers over the fat wad of cash sitting in your pocket. >Another good evening of making easy money.
  80. >So why scam people out of their money?
  81. >Was it because you were poor and down on your luck?
  82. >Hell no.
  83. >If anything, you’re rather well off.
  84. >You didn’t want to make people bankrupt necessarily, just to lighten their pockets and help you make it big.
  85. >Lottery tickets, gas and food is not cheap and this helps to offset the cost.
  86. >But soon you’ll need to find new tricks and other locations to make more money.
  87. >Your job pays well enough, but you like to afford good stuff.
  88. >Nothing wrong with that, really.
  89. >Hell, if banks and rich assholes can get away with having a lot of money, you just want to even the playing field.
  90. >You open the car door and hop inside.
  91. >One short car ride later and you arrive at your apartment.
  92. >There’s only one thing that can make this evening feel complete.
  93. >Ponies.
  94. >Yes, that’s a legit thing about you.
  95. >One of the very few things that can comfort you in this world is the cartoon show My Little Pony.
  96. >Even you still feel baffled as to why you like the show.
  97. >You were perfectly content watching the twenty minute show and cracking a chuckle here and there.
  98. >Opening the door to your apartment, you turn on the light to see everything was still in order just as you left it.
  99. >Walking down a small hallway, you see the tall mirror propped up against the wall and smirk at the handsome devil looking back at you.
  100. >You should wear a suit more often. It makes you feel sophisticated.
  101. >Walking into your entertainment room, you turn on your PC and log in.
  102. >You didn’t have a chance to watch the episode that aired earlier, but now you get to kick back and enjoy it on YouTube.
  103. >While your computer booted up, you took your money and stockpiled it in a jar that you kept well hidden. Keeping a few bills for yourself, you walk out to the kitchen to heat up a snack.
  104. >You press a button on your answering machine.
  105. >”You have NO new messages and NO calls.” A synthetic voice rings out.
  106. “Just as well...”
  107. >You mumble to yourself.
  108. >Living by yourself is not a bad deal. You can handle social situations fine, but you prefer your time alone.
  109. >You open the fridge and retrieve a can of soda.
  110. >With your food and drink in hand, you sit in front of the soft glow of the monitor and watch the My Little Pony episode.
  111. >Throughout the whole show, you felt restless and tired.
  112. >It was an odd feeling, but maybe you were getting high-strung over the nightly money run.
  113. >God knows you need to take it easy and lay low for a bit.
  114. >Usually a shower would hit the spot, but maybe a nice soak in the bath with some music would be preferable.
  115. >You check the time; just shy of midnight.
  116. >Heading to the bathroom, you run the hot water and add a touch of bath bubble and Epsom salts.
  117. >You grab your laptop and set it up on the bathroom counter to play your music.
  118. >Steam rises from the hot water. You’re about to take your clothes off until something catches your attention.
  119. >Something underneath the bubbles of the bath shimmers, almost like gold.
  120. >You blink and rub your eyes.
  121. “What the hell...”
  122. >You lean in closer and part the soapy waters, but the gleaming intensifies.
  123. >Your hand reaches into the water to try and grab at whatever was in the tub.
  124. >Then you hear a voice call out to you like an echo in your mind.
  125. >It was saying ‘help me...’.
  126. >Quickly you turn to look but no one was there.
  127. >You try to pull your hand out of the water but something was holding it in place.
  128. “The fuck?”
  129. >Pulling harder didn’t work. In fact, you were being pulled in more forcefully now.
  130. “No no no!”
  131. >You grab anything nearby to anchor yourself. Where’s the goddamn phone when you need it?
  132. >It was almost like the tub was eating you alive.
  133. >Fuck the cops, call a plumber!
  134. >With a powerful drag, you’re pulled into the warm water of your tub and feel your entire body submerge.
  135. >Things go dark but you dare not to let the precious air in your lungs escape.
  136. >You twist and turn in the water, trying to make sense of what was up or down.
  137. >The water begins to turn cold all around you.
  138. >What the hell is going on?
  139. >You squint your eyes and peer through the water around you.
  140. >A flickering light above signals you to the surface.
  141. >With no time to lose, you swim with all your might to the surface.
  142. >You feel your lungs squirming within your ribcage for air.
  143. >Already you begin to expel it out of your chest in anticipation for a new breath of air. Your lungs draw in a bit of water and your body starts to spasm uncontrollably.
  144. >As you break the surface, you gasp loudly and sputter.
  145. >You cough harshly as you wipe your eyes and look up to see it was still night out.
  146. >The rumbling roar of a nearby waterfall fills the air as you feel your own strength leave your body.
  147. >You look around and could see the shore nearby.
  148. >Swimming to the grassy bank, your feet finally touch the bottom of the river and you sluggishly walk out.
  149. “Oh God...”
  150. >Your stomach clenches as you cough up the bit of water in your lungs.
  151. >Quickly, you crumple into a heap and fall down onto the soft grass and roll over onto your back. Taking in quick shallow breaths, you stare up to the night sky and gaze at stars.
  152. >You weakly turn your head side to side. There was a forest not too far away from where you were.
  153. >Your body continues to shake violently, not from the cold water but the whole experience.
  154. >Drowning would’ve been a bad way to go.
  155. >Although you want to get up, your body was already exhausted and you just want to rest.
  156. >Your last thoughts were shrouded in a fog as you drift into a sleep.
  157. >Nothing, however, will prepare you for what you will be waking up to.
  158. >As the morning light makes its way into your eyes, you hear the chirping of birds and the sweet burning smell of wood.
  159. >You groan as you shift around in your sleep.
  160. >The sweet, gentle voice of a woman reaches your ears. “Are you feeling alright?”
  161. >You feel a soft hand touch your forehead and you open your eyes.
  162. >Your eyes blur at first, but after a few blinks you look into the eyes of a beautiful young lady.
  163. http://imgur.com/6yDIMoY
  164. >What caught your attention first was her long pink hair that hung delicately over her shoulders.
  165. >You knew anime was popular and all, but to actually dye your hair absurd colours is pushing it.
  166. >With a groan, you slowly sat upright and felt a crack in your back. Sleeping on the hard ground is not exactly the most comfortable experience.
  167. “Yeah, I’m fine. Who are you?”
  168. >She closes her eyes with a warm smile across her face. “Forgive me; I have not properly introduced myself. I am Dawn.”
  169. >She stands up in order to bow before you.
  170. >And that’s when you notice something wrong.
  171. >She didn’t have human legs.
  172. >Whatever she was, she had these horse or goat-type legs instead. Trailing behind her, starting from the base of her spine, was a long flowing tail.
  173. >Your eyes widen to see the edge of a folded wing behind her back.
  174. “Woah, what the fucking hell?!”
  175. >You quickly scramble to your feet and back away.
  176. >She looks to you with confusion. “Did I offend you, sir?”
  177. >Your mind races for a logical answer.
  178. >All around you were nothing but trees and, far off in the distance, you hear that distinct roar of a waterfall.
  179. >This has to be a prank; some kind of practical joke being pulled here.
  180. >You begin to laugh nervously.
  181. “Alright, ya got me. Where are the cameras?”
  182. >Dawn tilts her head curiously. “Cameras?”
  183. >You keep your eyes on her and smirk.
  184. “Nice try, but the joke’s over.”
  185. >Turning away, you yell out into the forest to let them know the jig was up.
  186. “You had me going for a second there, but it’s over. Let’s wrap it up and I’ll be on my way.”
  187. >No answer.
  188. >Your attention turns back to the lady who merely stands there looking at you in bewilderment.
  189. >“Are... are you feeling alright? I did not think the teleportation spell would have an adverse effect on you. Or are humans usually this idiosyncratic?”
  190. >You walk up to her and chuckle.
  191. “That’s a good costume, very life-like in fact. But I can’t stay much longer, so tell your posse to come on out so we can all share in the laugh.”
  192. >She looks around at the trees then back to you. “Posse?”
  193. >Was she still playing dumb?
  194. “Yeah, a posse. Your group of friends?”
  195. >”But I am all alone, sir. I summoned you here, don’t you remember?” She clasps her hands together as if to beseech you.
  196. >This has gone far enough.
  197. “Alright lady, don’t take this the wrong way but you’re living in a fantasy world. And take those stupid wings off.”
  198. >You immediately reach around and grab the wing by the base and pull.
  199. >Her eyes open wide as she lets out a small gasp.
  200. >It wasn’t coming off...
  201. >Quickly you let go and take a step back.
  202. “That’s uh... good craftsmanship...”
  203. >Slowly her wing stretches out with a ruffle and nestles itself back in.
  204. >Holy shit...
  205. “What are you?”
  206. >With a hurt expression she replies meekly. “I am Dawn:. Daughter of the late Princess Celestia of Equestria.”
  207. >. . .
  208. >WHAT?!
  209. >Your mind goes blank and you remember falling over.
  210. >When you come to, you open your eyes and you see Dawn looking down on you, kneeling by your side.
  211. >”You humans are a strange lot, funny to think my father was one.”
  212. >You sit straight up and rub your face.
  213. “No, this can’t be happening. This can’t be real.”
  214. >You get to your feet and almost stumble over.
  215. >”Please be careful. You should rest while I explain things.”
  216. >You listen carefully for the sound of water and head off in a direction.
  217. >You hear that thing approaching you from behind. “Sir, I have gone through great lengths to bring you here. I request an audience with you.”
  218. “Audience nothing. This is not real and neither are you.”
  219. >Already you find yourself at the edge of a lake.
  220. >You remember being home and seeing a gold shine in the water.
  221. “Okay, make with your magic or whatever and send me home.”
  222. >Dawn nervously plays with her fingers as her hoof digs into the ground.
  223. >”I cannot do such a thing. I only know how to bring you here”
  224. >You ball your hand into a fist and walk up to her.
  225. “You said you brought me here. Well do something that’ll reverse your spell and send me back. I don’t care!”
  226. >Without warning, she brings her hand up and smacks you in the face.
  227. >She brings her hands up to her mouth in shock. “I am so sorry, sir. That was very un-lady like of me.”
  228. >For a moment, your mind finally has a chance to breathe.
  229. >You turn away and face the river. You sit yourself down to take in a deep gulp of air and look upon your surroundings.
  230. >Even when you look at yourself you feel... different.
  231. >”Are you upset with me, sir?” She asks. “I should not have hit you, but you were frightening me.”
  232. >This was real.
  233. >Dawn mentioned Celestia and Equestria.
  234. >Somehow that magical glow in the tub was a portal that pulled you into the world of My Little Pony.
  235. >This was beyond surreal.
  236. >You look up to this weird mix of a pony and human.
  237. >How is that even possible?
  238. >Her mother is Celestia?
  239. >With so many questions you let out an exasperated sigh and pat the ground next to you.
  240. >She leisurely places herself next to you. “I am sorry to have brought you here with little warning, but I call upon your aid.”
  241. “Wait wait. This is Equestria, as in the land of magical ponies?”
  242. >”Y-yes, do you already know of us?”
  243. >How do you answer that without telling her their existence is nothing but a cartoon show in your world?
  244. >You’re at a loss for words.
  245. >”My mother once told me humans are smart and reliable creatures, I do not wish to question the things you know but I too have a lot I wish to ask. I think it is only fair that you ask me what you desire to know.”
  246. >Her words were very soothing, yet you’re having trouble getting over the fact you’re in a cartoon world.
  247. >Rubbing your temples, you finally bring your thoughts together.
  248. “Okay, I just... Sorry, but I didn’t anticipate being dragged into a tub to this place.”
  249. >Dawn’s eyes look to the ground in a remorseful manner. “I am truly sorry, but I will try my best to get you home once I seek your guidance.”
  250. >Well, it was time for some answers.
  251. “So you’re the daughter of Princess Celestia. What are you exactly and why did you summon me?”
  252. >She gazes over to the river as she wrings a piece of her skirt within her hands. “Perhaps I should start from the beginning. It all started many years ago....”
