  1. Pokémon Edges and Skill Variation
  2.
  3. Upon generating a Pokémon for a player, the GM may decide that this specimen of the species has a slightly different skill set than is typical for the species, lowering one or two skills by one rank and raising an equal number by one rank. This may not lower a skill below pathetic or raise any single skill more than one rank above its normal score for the species.
  4.
  5. Pokémon can also raise their Skill Ranks by spending Tutor Points, along with other Pokémon Edges attainable with Tutor Points. However, this may not bring a Pokémon's Skill Rank more than two ranks above its normal score.
  6.
  7. Tutor Points can be spent in this way without a Feature to activate them, but they take at least an hour of time for the Pokémon to train itself and practice to hone its abilities. Some of these may take even longer as the Pokémon grows to reach its new capabilites. Pokémon Edges from Tutor Points gained in this way are priced as follows:
  8.
  9. Basic Pokémon Skill - 2 Tutor Points - Rank up one Skill that is currently at or below its default level for the species.
  10.
  11. Advanced Pokémon Skill - 2 Tutor Points - Rank up one Skill that is currently above the default level for the species. The Pokémon must be at least level 20 to gain this Edge.
  12.
  13. Skill Focus - 1 Tutor Point - Choose one Skill the Pokémon has and increase its roll by 1. You may only apply Skill Focus up to three times to a single Skill.
  14.
  15. Combat Maneuver - 2 Tutor Points - Choose Disarm, Trip, or Push. The Pokémon may now use that Combat Maneuver.
  16.
  17. Advanced Mobility - 2 Tutor Points - Increase one Movement Capability by 1. This may not be applied more than 3 times to the same Movement Capability.
  18.
  19. Abnormal Size - 3 Tutor Points - Increase the Pokémon's Size by one category (small to medium, medium to large, large to huge, huge to gigantic) and one Weight Class. You may only apply Abnormal Size once to a Pokémon. Gigantic Pokémon occupy a 5x5 square after having Abnormal Size applied to them. Abnormal Size may increase a Pokémon's Weight Class to 7.
  20.
  21. [Cast's Note: It makes no sense to make a Pokémon grow smaller as a result of taking a Pokémon Edge, but a GM may choose to have a Pokémon be smaller than usual when encountered in the wild, hatched from an egg, or otherwise discovered by a trainer.]
  22.
  23. Capability Training - 3 Tutor Points - Increase Intelligence, Power or a Jump Capability by 1. Capability Training may not be applied more than twice per capability.
