  1. [21:02] Yiron would offer a smirk as he instantly turned into mist at the foot of the battle though not attempting to outright avoid the explosions the reprieve gave the Constable the time to calm himself and plan how he'd strike at the younger Warrior once again relying on his usual bag of tricks once the initial gambit faded after being pummeled back by Iridas as they different to the western area of the battlefield he'd go about turning the tables with his large covering flood spell.
  2.
  3. Unleashing everything in his arsenal in a short time while the boy was stunned forcing himself through the various explosive blows even actively using his trident to strike at the Sarai a few times in an uncharacteristic fashion for the Constable.
  4.
  5. "Like I said. Don't worry about what I'm doing." stepping backwards to twirl his staff naturally expecting another rush from Iridas.
  6. (Yiron)
  7. [21:03] Back into the midst of daylight does she emerge from the wondrous realm of another's dilemma. Opting to traverse around for particular individuals, the snowy haired Kitsune finds herself aimlessly roaming about the Imperial City of Osrona.
  8.
  9. Her demeanor could be that of one who does not have a single care in the world-
  10.
  11. At least that is this one's exterior, for who knows what may be shifting below the surface of the tides of rapid bubbling sentiments that rise amongst every bit of Nobility that those silver eyes gaze upon.
  12.
  13. And yet, she does not shift away from that subtle demeanor with where laces of trickling waters seem to fall in her wake, though cold in that atmosphere about her person.
  14.
  15. But when she strides along the edges of various cliffs, the teenager settles herself upon a rock face's ledge if only to observe the current situation here ongoing.
  16.
  17. For now, and her presence is quite noticeable as well. Her eyes stare intently towards Yiron most of all, adamant on watching the Constable.
  18. (Astrid)
  19. [21:13] Iridas is taken off-guard. In a painful mistake, he finds himself under the biting mercy of Yiron's cone of ice-- something that did inconceivable damage to him with his guard down. He is sent back, permanently on the backfoot and trying to stabilize the coming loss-- but that quickly went out the window when the flood came crashing down onto the beach. He is washed toward the cliffside, and slams into the wall in a way very similar to how Yiron ended up not long before.
  20.
  21. Iridas manages to fight back-- just a bit, and desperately tries to overwhelm Yiron with some last ditch moves to slow him onw, but it is ultimately a futile effort. He is sent stumbling across a shard of ice that explodes into frost around him, and he is then whipped with the trident, and sent stumbling back.
  22.
  23. The stumble ends with a stagger and he barely catches himself. His eyes rising up to the watchman, his irises pulsing and his teeth bare-to-snarl. He tightens the grip on his blade and raises it back up. The grin returning to his face and revealing a bit of blood on his teeth-- blood licked away as he prepared to head at Yiron again.
  24. (Iridas Sarai)
  25. [21:19] Iridas jumps forward but comes to an abrupt stop-- not only had Yiron taken a much more defensive position, but he seemed to try and bait Iridas out rather than go into his vapor-form.
  26.
  27. "Stop... PLAYING!"
  28.
  29. He shouts with a sudden burst forward, sending forth ripples of mana in a baiting maneuver that drew out Yiron's strength finally. It was then he stayed on guard for the frost-spray, and though it catches him partially he manages to bring a short end to it with a well time sling of his left arm, spraying Yiron with heat and blasts to bring his spray to a close.
  30.
  31. When the flood comes in, he raises his guard to brace himself, and then he quickly launches himself out of the flood with a well-placed forward blast to eject himself from the waters where he awaited just the right moment. Once he was close, his hands clap together-- blade still in his grasp, to unleash a fiery shockwave that eventually brings Yiron to his limits despite his water-whip resistance.
  32. (Iridas Sarai)
  33. [21:25] Yiron would step backwards being somewhat knocked back by yet another explosion skidding across the sand as his form was naturally just more relaxed than in their first bout perhaps Iridas had noticed the lack of effort in the Constables movements clearly distracted by something or another as he shook the nausea from his head regardless if he made no real effort against the boy it still hurt to be blasted around the beach.
  34.
  35. Mumbling out mostly to himself. "Got distracted there." with a twirl of his staff he'd step back once again perhaps losing the fire that he had at the start of the fight holding up his trident in a defensive manner, an evident heavy amount of breathing coming from Yiron visibly cold long breaths exiting from the watchman.
  36.
  37. "Let's try again."
  38. (Yiron)
  39. [21:29] Iridas Sarai asks, "What happened there?"
  40. [21:30] Iridas-- after a rather unsatisfying victory, is taken bysurprise as the Ookami jumps down from the cliff and onto the sand near him. He quickly spins with his blade raised and his left arm risen up with sparks in his palm. His eyes are wide and he's ready to bifurcate whoever had approached him so hastily.
  41. (Iridas Sarai)
  42. [21:30] Iridas will find that out later.
  43. (Iridas Sarai)
  44. [21:32] Yiron gave a shake of his head still regardless of the low effort put in being knocked around still made him dizzy and roughed up, pulling himself to his full height to clear his head as he let out a groan stretching his back on the spot perhaps the visitor put him off or perhaps he was just drained after winning one round.
  45.
  46. "Guess I need to have my head in the game to do well." more a remark about his own performance rather than an excuse regardless his eyes would dart over towards Astrid, a raised eyebrow as their little training session seemingly had come to a close.
  47. (Yiron)
  48. [21:36] She had watched the back and forth between both of those mages. One of fiery, explosive capabilities and the other seemingly cold in prowess, however lacking. This was Astrid's perception, to say the least.
  49.
  50. Yet, the rainy girl scales that cliff for a second time, carefully trekking down the slope in order to jump and settle atop the sands there in the far off area near the Eastern half of Osrona.
  51.
  52. Her demeanor changes, declining of that former, somewhat friendly mien present previously. Disclosing that of a more unrelenting nature, however she does nothing with the humid, chilled airs of herself.
  53.
  54. "What happened was a pathetic thing to see." Stated abrasively as she stares at Yiron, the Kitsune teen steps forward again towards him, allowing her arms to cross over the other. Both exposed, though the right hand is entirely wrapped up with bandages, extending halfway up her forearm, and the left is completely bare.
  55.
  56. "Did you have your head in the game too when we all got to see Elevans beat your ass?"
  57. (Astrid)
  58. [21:42] Yiron would tilt his head to the side as his hand reached into his cloak rummaging around for a cigarette as he placed the lit soothe reed cigarette between his lips allowing himself to get calm as he relied on the vice taking a moment to inhale a few plumes of smoke before responding out to the angry Beastkin his eyes narrowing onto Astrid for a moment.
  59.
  60. Only able to muster a small smile to cover his face as he glanced between Iridas and Astrid before responding. "What can I say... When I feel good I can beat the best of them, when my head's not in it. I'm pretty lackluster." pausing as his gaze drifted to the sand still the Constable would force out a grin.
  61.
  62. "Probably why I'm not a Knight."
  63. (Yiron)
  64. [21:48] "Would seem to be the case," she says. Her tone was blunt, still, albeit lacking any tone of hostility. Perhaps the abrasiveness of the girl could be considered as such- it was up to either mage before her to determine that.
  65.
  66. Her shoulders shrug. "But that's still a sad outlook to have at the same time. Guess that's why Constable is an easier job for the lazy such as yourself. You get to be laid back and pretend like you're useful when you're not." She speaks of truth, to her own beliefs, aiming to tear apart that delicate mood of his.
  67.
  68. "That's beside the point though, I'm actually looking for Khaine so I can train with ice magic and fix my hand at the same time-" she says, opting to raise that right appendage of hers to display.
  69.
  70. Bandages midway of the forearm, but the hand is entirely covered; digits all wrapped separately in thin, light gauzes with webs connecting between each, indicating the motions of where the bandages had been wrapped.
  71.
  72. "Do you know where the hel he's been?"
  73. (Astrid)
  74. [21:52] Iridas squints at Astrid and stands up straight. He slots his blade back behind himself and over the left shoulder. Without even looking to Yiron, he starts to growl at Astrid in an aggressive and equally if not more abrasive tone,
  75.
  76. "This little shit is another ice mage? If it wasn't for Nao' I'd think all you cold bastards came with it."
  77.
  78. He then points a finger at her,
  79.
  80. "Get your delicate ass back up behind the walls where you can throw snowballs at each other."
  81.
  82. Iridas bites, having little patience for her pretentiousness or her entrance.
  83. (Iridas Sarai)
  84. [21:55] Rolled his eyes as he took another drag of the cigarette giving a shrug in response it's not like he was all that aware as he gestured towards Iridas his posture slacking somewhat unfettered by the boys response as he spoke out calmly.
  85.
  86. "Nope, though I'll be honest Khaine's far weaker than Iridas here. Not sure I like being called useless or pretending to be useful by someone who needs to learn from a guy who is weaker than me or my training partner." exhaling some smoke it seemed if even insults didn't elicit a desire to fight harder in the Constable perhaps it was just the time of day, with that thought in mind he'd stand in spot waiting for Iridas to decide whatever he'd do next.
  87. (Yiron)
  88. [22:05] "No- not yet," she adds with a crane of her neck towards Iridas, glancing at him from the side. A sigh protrudes, as if she'd already had enough of his portion of the conversation! "Though, I don't remember addressing you, city dweller.
  89.
  90. And snowballs aren't my thing. Too soft. Too harmless."
  91.
  92. It is then that she remains stoic, still, averting her silver eyes to peer at the other ice magus before her. "However, I'm not aware of the power either of you wield. Who's stronger than who. I don't really care. All I know is that, out of any ice magi I've met, he was the only one to offer lessons, especially for this-" A brief pause as those bandages are unlatched and removed with whirls around the appendage many, many times over until they're completely removed.
  93.
  94. What's displayed is a pale blue hand, tracing up towards the center of Astrid's forearm. Wafting from the very skin itself is condensed airs, forming fog around the most cold of areas; particularly the hand.
  95.
  96. "Syndicate did it, and I need help fixing it my damn self. So, if you're so much more versed in your magics than Khaine, then show me you're useful and give me some damn help with it. The fucker froze it solid, but the frost effect within it won't go away."
  97.
  98. Her belief was, ultimately, that if she could control and manipulate the temperature of her element, then Astrid could manage to return her own limb to a normal temperature. "I don't want it to end up like Zus' arm."
  99. (Astrid)
  100. [22:07] {Item} You picked up Firefly..
  101. [22:12] Yiron would glance over towards Iridas for a moment with a raised eyebrow then drifting his gaze back to the girls forearm as he stopped himself from a witty remark his mouth left slightly agape as he narrowed his eyes following the source of the frost from bottom to top.
  102.
  103. "I didn't even know there was an Ice Magi in the Syndicate." his hand drifting to his cheek as he gave it a scratch all of sudden feeling rather sorry for the girl even if he didn't wish to show it pity would be evident across his face and with his softer tone, attitude or not he could only imagine the damage permanently freezing an arm in such a fashion would do.
  104.
  105. "I don't think either of us could fix that... I didn't think they had a Magi who would even do that, it's easy enough to destroy a persons limb without freezing it to make it harder to heal." pausing for a moment offering a glare out to the side.
  106.
  107. "A priest could fix it maybe?"
  108. (Yiron)
  109. [22:19] He tilts his head as she brushed him off. City Dweller. His brow starts to twitch, his eyes narrow in a certain kind of rage. Was this woman some kind of noble? Unlikely. Couldn't be. But...
  110.
  111. What the fuck did that mean?
  112.
  113. Iridas stands there, like a growing raging demon. His body is convulsing, twitching, the shadow on the front half of his body deepening as the glow of his eyes intensify. He almost seemed to be holding back murder itself the way his body reacted.
  114. (Iridas Sarai)
  115. [22:29] "One or two of them," she responds. Truthfully, Astrid didn't know the amount. The magical capabilities of their faction were unknown for the most part. None known of, save for two that most of Osrona had been familiar with, albeit it seems that Yiron hadn't known of the Ice mage below their feet whom was quite troubling.
  116.
  117. "One of them, from what I heard and saw, perm-frosted Zus' arm that it had to be amputated, and Juiweihu be damned if I'm getting my fucking arm cut off over it." A snarl then, the Kitsune wasn't happy.
  118.
  119. All she truly required was that assistance of an ice magi in order to help her delve into those abilities. Yet, as per usual in her case, the guardsman, or what have you of Osrona didn't seem capable of such.
  120.
  121. Because of that last remark he makes, the Kitsune scoffs loudly, shaking her head to follow the noise made. "Priest wasn't helpful enough to fix this. The least they did was get rid of the frosted layer. The internal temperature is just, like.. all out of whack and stuck like this!"
  122.
  123. Astrid begins wrapping backup that appendage. The tension was growing more palpable to say the least as more condensation trickles away from the airs, descending towards the ground in the still declining demeanor.
  124.
  125. But once the wraps are back upon her hand, perfectly allowed for flexibility of movement, her mana protrudes near instantly as that right arm flicks towards the shore-front nearby. Those intangible tendrils delve within the waves, controlling the tides to her command, and within a moment's notice they rip up from the natural current, roughly displacing towards Yiron in a massive ripple at the wave of her hand, directing it towards him.
  126.
  127. Just a taste of her own prowess. Though, before it may land to topple him, should he move, or otherwise, the girl finishes.
  128.
  129. "..If you won't be helpful, then I'll just ask risk my life in the damn sewers with the Syndicate just to get this thing fixed."
  130. (Astrid)
  131. [22:36] Yiron would naturally stand his ground and raise his staff to cover himself not intent on making the extra effort to avoid the mana ripple striking him or perhaps because he didn't feel like further harming someone who had already been effectively maimed by the Syndicate aiming to just take whatever came his wave with the most minor of defenses.
  132.
  133. Still hoping to speak out with what he knew about working with higher level Ice magic. "...Look Osric or Blair should be able to heal it, or at the very least anything I could do would require further work from them. I'm not a healer that is an arm that is basically in a state of permafrost, they've done that to you instead of cutting your arm off."
  134.
  135. Unfortunately not able to dissuade the finality of what the wound likely was speaking out rather bluntly for the benefit of the beastkin.
  136.
  137. "I heard Osric or Blair might be able to remove permanent damage which that would fall under but if they can't whoever did that basically cut your arm off already they just did it in a flashy way involving Ice magic."
  138. (Yiron)
  139. [22:51] Yiron had allowed that tidal wave to crash down upon him for the most part; he'd find an unrelenting force weighing down, as if the pressure of gravitational manipulation accompanied the hefty pounds of water and kinetic energy were pushing him into the sands. Whether he falters or not mattered none.
  140.
  141. But with her mana retracting from the waves, it takes up an abundance of its fluids in order to accompany herself with slender, razor sharp assets that flourish, are brandished, behind her person. Those aquatic tendrils of hydromancy are aggressive in their motions- sporadic and prepared to lash out should her airs decline further down that drowning slope.
  142.
  143. For where it goes it is colder, pressurized with tension, and dangerous, akin to the depths. of the ocean itself, though in this manner it doesn't just weigh on her chest between each breath, but contributes to the still wafting condensations of what could be viewed as another one of Esshar's potentially capable ice mages.
  144.
  145. Her silence has lingered thus far, however.. Astrid shakes her head. "I refuse to accept that my arm is in a state of permfrost. I can move it!" And so she does move those digits, stiff as they had been before, however.
  146.
  147. "And Nerin already fixed what he could with Biomancy and a salve. Blaire gave me a salve for it too. The temperature won't come back up!" Her brows furrow. The nefarious tendrils extend out akin to a spider's legs, opting to raise her in the air in an intimidating fashion, stepping over towards Yiron in the meanwhile as her left hand holds her right.
  148.
  149. "Just show me how the hel to entwine my circuits with the magic you know. Unless you'd want me to just run off to the asshole who did this in the first place- I can do that too then."
  150. (Astrid)
  151. [22:58] Yiron would shake himself off clearly able to hold his ground with a firm stance and using his stave as a blocking factor albeit he'd been even further wet than he was from using his various abilities against Iridas despite that he'd remain stood there somehow his cigarette having enough of a light to still function even if his hair was more than likely dripping wet in response.
  152.
  153. Narrowing his eyes on the girls fingers clearly that told him more than he knew previously about the state of the damage regardless he'd give a firm nod towards the Beastkin.
  154.
  155. Standing his ground regardless he'd stare onwards at Astrid able to keep his composure for the moment despite the threat that the girl could run off and end up hurt.
  156.
  157. Seemingly reluctantly responding out "Okay, okay. I obviously don't want you to get hurt. Lazy or not I do care about people, wouldn't work for a hundred coins a day if I didn't." pausing briefly to twirl the trident like staff in his grasp within moments the air around Yiron would grow cold visible frost surrounding the Watchmen in places around his body.
  158.
  159. "Just...I'm not a teacher so go easy on me." finishing off the statement with his body now fully covered in aura of Ice and Frost naturally showing off the embodiment of his magic with the aura used in most bouts.
  160. (Yiron)
  161. [23:08] The demeanor doesn't shift, even after the aquatic tendrils settle the girl back upon the ground. No longer does that spider-like fashion of wandering about approach the man of whom she intently scrutinizes, spectating his maneuvers.
  162.
  163. Instead, the remain brandished behind Astrid, wavering in their threatening manner still.
  164.
  165. And so, as he approaches, allowing the girl the lessons she most desired the need of, a slow dip of her head is appropriately made. "That salary still sucks, but fitting for lazy people I guess."
  166.
  167. Well- "But yeah, sure. I'll go easy on you since you're being.. so helpful." It would seem that she was far more friendly now, opting to replace that neutral, though nefarious, expression made with a content grin.
  168.
  169. However, her disposition remained, plunging back below her interior waves.
  170.
  171. "So, where do we start then?" Astrid anticipated the lesson, either here or elsewhere, or wherever he would bother to begin the narratives about ice magic itself. Regardless, the Kitsune had her guard up and ears open.
  172. (Astrid)
  173. Iridas was largely ignored for the extent of their agreement-- the whole time letting the agitation build until she had passed by him to talk face to face with Yiron. He looks her frilly clothes from head to toe, and then he reaches out with his left hand to quite literally snatch a loose piece of her clothes and yank-- or yeet her back several steps.
  174.
  175. "Who the hell said you can barge in here and take over my practice session?!"
  176.
  177. He snaps, and had that all gone off without a hitch he'd follow up with a final,
  178.
  179. "Get your snobby, over-entitled ass out of here!"
  180.
  181. His glare pointed at her like daggers and his teeth nearly grinding themselves to dust as he watches her with a shakey rage.
  182. (Iridas Sarai)
  183. ** You spot
  184. Leonald nearby! [Click to pursue] **
  185. Yiron would struggle to hold back a laugh given this was the weirdest teaching request he'd ever seen or heard for anyone but weird did have a habit of creeping around the Constable his gaze drifting towards Iridas as he flashed a grin naturally seeing someway to proceed that seemingly solved every problem the Constable was dealing with.
  186.
  187. Speaking out rather abruptly still managing a sense of calm.
  188. "Well... You learn the same way everyone else does a gentle push with instruction and..." trailing off as he steps backwards slamming the bottom of his staff into the sand as multiple stalagmites of ice seemingly emerged across the beach in random directions.
  189.
  190. "A heavy push of your limits. You've already got the frozen arm, you have your connection." his gaze dropping onto Iridas for a brief moment as he states out an offer.
  191.
  192. "You want your training session back. Take it back, beat her." only stopping his words to one of the younger people in the area to turn to the other, glancing Astrid over one more time.
  193.
  194. "Fight him with that frozen arm, focus on it. Water and Ice are a close relationship if you push and focus...You'll see you'll need Ice to even stop being blasted by Iridas." giving out his offer to the pair as he stepped back slightly naturally believing he made a suitable compromise.
  195. (Yiron)
  196. ** You spot
  197. Yiron nearby! [Click to pursue] **
  198. Annnnd… they are to lash out at Iridas the instance his arm extends out to grip the girl's clothes and pull her back abruptly- aiming to slice up any bit of his arms that they can catch out before he lets go.
  199.
  200. Astrid is pulled back nearly a foot from where she stood when wandering back, and she pivots on her heel in glaring at the other male's own similarly expressed features. "You'll have to make me," she claims.
  201.
  202. The hairs atop the ears and tail seem to raise some- a feral nature, entirely sheer of her demeanor from that tug on her attires so suddenly just moments ago. "I don't see you suffering with almost limb loss and trying to find someone capable of actually being helpful." Abruptly said again, she wasn't backing down from this.
  203.
  204. And so, as Yiron states.. she had that connection. The prowess of the Syndicate remained within her- the icy cold interior that flourished, but one near impossible for her to brandish. Not without the proper motivation and thought process.
  205.
  206. For how this would function? Likely more simple than she'd thought it to be before. Wielding the ocean's fury at command and manipulating itself temperature enough to bring those ravenous waters to a solidified stated. She'd always found trouble in trying, lacking situations that opted her to accost others at the Kitsune's own peril. Be it more treacherous for herself or them, the girl was apathetic, therefore she didn't care.
  207.
  208. Even if it was herself sustaining the damage.
  209.
  210. Astrid wouldn't back down. So, as that atmosphere delves down deeper below the tides, she begins to welcome in that foreign mana to her circuits with enough focus and address in order to integrate its schools within and project something more terrifying than what she currently wields of versatile waves.
  211.
  212. "But I'll do just that. I'll feel what I can't." The vaguely numbed limb, if only to feel the initiation of ice in those circuits.
  213. (Astrid)
  214. Iridas Sarai has engaged Astrid in Restrained combat, with a capture roll of 0
  215. Iridas' hand is subject to the lashing attack of what he assumes were her water-tentacles. Luckily enough for him, hardened skin and a pair of bracers did their part to keep his hand well protected. Looking down at his hand afterward, he gives it one quick test with a few flexes.
  216.
  217. "Oh, so you want me to chase her off? Is that it?"
  218.
  219. Iridas asks just before turning to face her. He grabs at his shortsword with his right hand and pulls it loose.
  220.
  221. "You heard him, get the hell out of here!"
  222.
  223. He snaps again as sparks travel down his recently assaulted left hand and surges within the palm of his hand.
  224. (Iridas Sarai)
  225. Iridas has a slow-go to it. His mana hadn't been fully released or channeled once the first spell was thrown. It was a... Peculiar ability he had not seen before. With rings of water flying across the beach and then slamming down at him, all he can do is turtle up with his arms crossed and do his best to withstand the damage.
  226.
  227. His eyes widen after a few moments of bunkering down, realizing...
  228.
  229. "This... Doesn't hurt much at all."
  230.
  231. He drops his guard and kicks back across the sand-- and once his mana starts seeping from his skin, enhancing his strength and giving him a real boost of power to work with... He takes off! He races forward toward her, crashing into her waves and water only to come out on the other side with a harsh onslaught-- peppering her with explosions whenever he was afforded the chance. She had many abilities with stopping power, but not enough to stop him permanently.
  232.
  233. By the time the first decisive blow is dealt in their battle, it is Astrid who is on the receiving end of a small carpet bombing. Iridas stand across from her, blade pointed.
  234.
  235. "Like I said! Get lost! Go learn some manners and skill!"
  236. (Iridas Sarai)
  237. Yiron is now observing Astrid
  238. "I don't believe that's the case here-" Although she speaks nothing more, accepting that this is how she'd do best to utilize the potential of ice. The Syndicate's foreign mana is grasped upon at the beginning, slowly touched upon and integrated throughout the fight in order to increase her chances at proper temperature manipulation.
  239.
  240. However, throughout, the nearby beach waves could be seen from afar- standing far above their own statures and crashing down periodically. With each plummeting asset, the waters grow harsher, razor sharp, piercing, and absolutely sheer. Cold, unrelenting, and unwavering.
  241.
  242. More slosh draws forth from the waves of the magus' developing magics. The divide focus of Astrid gives away the bit of troubles she has with casting off any form of ice magic. Those eyes settle on the spikes of Yiron's, trying to envision their protrusions from her own capability, yet..
  243.
  244. She's struck with one explosive after the next that bears minimum damage, though fixed and healed away with water magic's minor healing capability.
  245.
  246. Astrid shakes. But for once it's not from the cold, but utter adrenaline pumping through her systems. That day she'd gone under the waves for the first time to feel the waves itself in order to grasp upon their control.
  247.
  248. Here and now, she was feeling the icy sensation of her hand, allowing the vague manipulations to ensue with where smaller spikes seem to protrude, though shatter away the instant they're formed. An imperfect, unfocused cast that just needed more push.
  249.
  250. More feeling. "..I'll get lost when I want to." And so, she prepares herself again to fight back, either for a second, or final time.
  251. (Astrid)
  252. Iridas goes on the full offensive-- slinging his left arm forward and sending explosive BANGS straight to the kitsune in a flurry of explosions. He then does his best to charge in and bring the fight directly to the kitsune. If there was one thing that was certain, her magic was great for keeping an opponent away from her.
  253.
  254. He found himself constantly being thrown back, hit with amazing pressure, and even being rained on by spiraling masses of water. He was fighting the ocean itself in the form of this girl, and he had such a confusing and hard time his magic was sent out of whack. There were moments where he'd find himself firing blanks, a prospect that really annoyed the ever-loving shit out of him.
  255.
  256. Spurred on by his own anger it forces him into melee range a lot more often, and the slippery fox made it harder and harder for him to get any of his attacks off.
  257.
  258. "Just... Sit... STILL!"
  259.
  260. He'd shout, though he definitely didn't mean it. It was all agitation-- he'd prefer her be as slippery as possible so he could push himself to make the openings he needed, rather than have it given to him. In the end, he manages to catch her up close during one of her own closer-attacks, and there he'd immediately gather himself into a closed in cross-armed stance where he pools his magic and releases it into an explosion around himself.
  261.
  262. The heat and flames that erupt sends the Kitsune into a defensive stance where he's free to thrust himself with a leftward explosion away from her. Then, before his feet could touch the ground he slings his left arm forward with a peppering of fiery sparks that blast the Kitsune with explosions to send her into the wall.
  263. (Iridas Sarai)[00:14] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  264. Tidal wave after the next, the oceanic fury of the girl, coupled with the growth of newfound, yet unstable abilities, are cast out to keep the explosive magi far from each. With each cognitive casting, all taking a piece of focus away to be sent forth amidst the practitioner's delving towards that sheer prowess, Astrid found herself beaten back despite the nature of her waters lashing out again and again.
  265.
  266. Her mana still reaches through the stiffness of her limb, however, in order to completely amalgamate the Syndicate mage's mana within her own, opting to force itself in her spiritual system for integrating that schooling of ice magic to be taught, in a manner. Alongside the assistance of Yiron with his advice and her own devices of absolute focus targeting in on Iridas, the girl begins to find her exteriors dropping.
  267.
  268. Not just from that explosive magic either, but the skin itself slowly decreasing to match that unrelenting, nefarious demeanor that's whirling in on him. Meanwhile, Astrid's flowing abilities of water magic slowly develop over with such control, and although its clearly and imperfect cast of each force, it's easy to tell that her grip on ice is delving deeper, and progressing faster amidst this battle.
  269.
  270. Shards of water are sent out, solidifying by the end of their trail as they attempt to pierce and slow down Iridas, and the slosh of tides cause a plethora of momentarily stunned stances of the other.
  271.
  272. Altogether it wasn't enough, unfortunately, as she finds herself ultimately sent away from the blast, shrouded by a barrier of immediately formed water turned ice that shatters upon impact.
  273.
  274. Astrid is sent back roughly against the rock-face where she falls from the rubble of collision and falls on the ground. Little blood can be seen dropping from her maw as gasps of air are made to catch the breath knocked right out of her. Remaining spikes of ice are quick to melt away thereafter, but that icy cold exterior of her atmosphere remains.
  275.
  276. "I... I said I wouldn't leave.. until I wanted to.."
  277. (Astrid)
  278. Yiron would take a seat nearby besides the mountain using the rocks to support his back naturally taking a drag of his soothe reed cigarette as he watched the fight unfold fortunately being able to view things with a clearer head due to being on the sidelines rather than the heat of battle flashing a grin despite his denial of sometimes being lazy he was more certainly more cool and relaxed than his Sarai counterpart at least most of the time.
  279.
  280. The Constable narrowing his eyes for a moment as he dropped them onto the Kitsune calling out to Astrid. "You're getting there but you mostly focus on large masses of Water. Ice is far more concentrated than free flowing water magic, it's all about the frost and the stopping power of the cold rather than overwhelming someone, you want to turn their whole bodies like that arm of yours. Slow him down before trying to take him out."
  281.
  282. With that said he'd turn his head slightly to take note of Iridas and even give his younger friendan onlookers take.
  283. "Y'know where you messed up, but aside from that you hit and you pull out and you do your explosions. Be more effective if you could blend both and get in close and explode them at the same time." naturally unsure how the boy could do that but clearly wanting to at least get a little room for both of them to work on their crafts as he played observer.
  284.
  285. (Yiron)
  286. Iridas watched her, unimpressed, maybe just interesting in her attempts at harnessing the ice magic. He didn't show any sympathy or concern for her when she was plastered to the wall either. He was increasingly short-fused and abrasive, and stood in direct contrast to the kitsune and her cognitive casting. He himself was symbolic caster-- the deeper he embodied his magic, the stronger it got, and the more it defined him.
  287.
  288. This may be made more evident as he shows agitation when Yiron starts commenting on his own abilities-- nevermind the girl who refused to leave and lick her wounds. He snaps at Yiron and shouts,
  289.
  290. "No one asked you for your opinion I know what I gotta do!" He begins muttering, "Slippery icy bastard."
  291.
  292. He then trained his eye against Astrid, watching to see if she had the unfettered balls to get back up and keep pushing it, or if she were going to get lost and practice her manners.
  293. (Iridas Sarai)
  294. The notes are taken mentally as Astrid manages to compose herself. The girl wasn't over with when it came to that malicious demeanor of hers. Rather than heed former warnings of leaving due to interruption of the other's lesson, the girl struggles immensely to get back to her feet.
  295.
  296. "You know, Yiron," she says, stumbling around despite managing to catch herself. "That was.. the first fight I've-" A bit of wincing.. it seemed some of the explosions had done a bit of significant damage on her person, though she doesn't submit to that pain in the slightest.
  297.
  298. But what you can see on the snowy haired girl's face is an amused smile. "-I've ever had. Painful, but it's not a feeling I'm that familiar with.
  299.
  300. Really, it's not." Not even with that Syndicate member did she fight, having allowed the pain back then in order to avoid more damage upon her person- the easier way out, should anyone make assumptions of such; though it was far from the truth.
  301.
  302. "So, why don't I fight you not to get more feeling of that ice magic, huh? Seems your friend is versed better in his magics." A brief pause as her left hand raises, waving before her face as water comes forth to wash off the dripping blood.
  303.
  304. "And the feeling of that was.. fun, to say the least. I guess." It wasn't such that prompted her, however, but two factors.
  305.
  306. His magics. And inflicting pain.
  307. (Astrid)
  308. Yiron would flash a grin at Iridas before turning his gaze towards Astrid clearly the Constable was making no effort to move from his spot leaning against the stones behind him offering an exhale of smoke despite the frost aura covering his body having kept up the display of magic as part of a visual aid for the girl.
  309.
  310. "These things take time, I learned my magic against a Nature Magi... Sometimes pushing yourself against something different is the best way." pausing to point at Iridas as he continued onward explaining the point.
  311.
  312. "Plus I don't think he's going to let you go around him, clearly he didn't do his best in that last little fray." Yiron allowing his eyes to drift over to the nearby ocean a smirk flashing across his face at the idea that little comment would have on Iridas figuring that both of them would improve through constant struggle and clashing given that's how most of Sudbury evolved through adversity.
  313.
  314. Mumbling out finally barely audible to the pair. "That and you're both pretty similar."
  315. (Yiron)
  316. Is standing there, glaring.
  317. (Iridas Sarai)
  318. She wanted to push. Just as the waves were symbolized of the Nobility class that sought to send the girl back to her place, Astrid was that force in this situation. To keep pushing herself towards ambitions, yet..
  319.
  320. Wasn't that goal at least progressed towards? To try and further understand the prowess over ice? It tied within her demeanor, creating a symbolic nature that associated itself to her demeanor- it was why the airs around the girl tended to be filled with a dreaded, cold nature.
  321.
  322. The girl's limb seemed to tingle with tinges of warmth throughout, seemingly increased towards the usual base of the human body's temperature rather than another's sub-zero frost. The fingers felt more flexible in the way her fists balled up, clearly aggressive with where she stands there in silence; threatening.
  323.
  324. But rather than do what she must- push forward, the girl clearly views Yiron's ambiance of snow trickling down. The visual aid helped her to envision just how those abilities should be casted with enough cognition in her attitude for their foreseen uses to be made proper.
  325.
  326. "Damn right we are." She finally replies, glancing up towards the skies above. They grew darker, and darker. Momentarily, Astrid's eyes close. "I should get home. My two friends might be worrying where the hel I am."
  327.
  328. A significant other and his older brother. Perhaps their butler, or farmhand, as well. "I'll be coming back for more fight practice, Yiron." She claims boldly- one she would follow through with. "I will." And with that the tired girl's abilities completely disperse within the atmosphere, descending like snowfall, disappearing before touching the sand as she departs.
  329. (Astrid)
