War is Stupid

War is the stupidest of human behaviors.

As a species, we have become the dominant life form on the planet, thanks in no small way to technological advances of our previous generations.

The current rate of technological advancement is so great and far-reaching that it can only be sustained via cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration in the distant future.

We live under the constraint of finite resources.

And what do our representatives do? They send humans to go kill other humans, wasting both lives and precious resources. All for the sake of their own egos and selfish agendas.

Enough is enough.

Whether or not you agree with specific political decisions, no intelligent human can look at the problems we face and say that the best solution is to kill people and subjugate the survivors.

How does this solve the scarcity of fossil fuels?
The millions of sick children the world over?
The uncertain future of the Earth's climate given the adverse affects of human pollution?

How will we reach distant stars and explore the universe if we're too busy killing each other over nothing?

War truly is the stupidest of human behaviors. It's wasteful and pointless. I don't decry self-defense, but that's not what is happening.
