SCENE 3: BLOOD ROAD

Jimny Wislin runs down the staairs to join in on the breakfast.

	MRS. WISLIN: "Eat quickly,Hally. Don't be shy. Great,eat more!"

	JIMNY WISLIN: "Mom...have you seen my slippers?"

	MRS. WISLIN: "Dear,it's on the cat."

	HALLY PORTER: "How do you do??"

Jimny runs off, terrified.

	HALLY PORTER: "What's wrong with me?"

	LEAN WISLIN: "It's Jinny. He has been talking about you all the summer. It's boring."

Old Welsly enters the room.

	OLD WELSLY: "Good morning,boys!"

	LEAN, FRAID, JEOGE: "Good morning,dad!"

	MRS. WISLIN: "Good morning!"

	OLD WELSLY: "It's very tired last night. Nine sudden checks! Nine!"

	HALLY PORTER: "Checks!"

(This is a question, even though it 's not written like one.)

	LEAN WISLIN: "My father works for the Magic department, I stay at the man-made products misusing institute. He likes it very much. ‘."

Old Welsly gives his wife a peck on the cheek, and sits down at the kitchen table.

	OLD WELSLY: "It's time for breakfast... Who are you?"

	HALLY PORTER: "Oh,I'm sorry. I'm Hally, Hally Porter."

Old Welsly looks at Hally in awe.

	OLD WELSLY: "My god! I'm really... Roen has reminded your things. What did he come here?"

	MRS. WISLIN: "This morning. Your sons drove your... charming car and took him here at midnight."

	OLD WELSLY: "Really? Is the car ok?"

	HALLY PORTER: "It's great!"

Mrs. Wislin slaps her husband.

	OLD WELSLY: "I'm saying... What you did isn't good, Boys... It's unforgivable! ...Hally,you must know the Ma very much. Tell me, What's the rubbery duck for?"

	HALLY PORTER: "Oh,hmm.."

A bird call is heard.

	MRS. WISLIN: "It must Allon sending the letters."

Allon the owl descends from the sky... only to smack right into the window.

	MRS. WISLIN: "Passy,you go to write a letter?"

Passy Wislin walks up to the bird to recieve the letters he's carryng.

	PASSY WISLIN: "Allon."

	LEAN WISLIN: "Allon always like this."

Passy walks over to the table, handing out the letters to whom they are adressed.

	PASSY WISLIN: "It's from Hugawaltz. They also send Hally's letter."

	OLD WELSLY: "He must know Hally is here. He knows much."

	FRAID WISLIN: "oh,those things are not so cheap. The books are very expensive."

	MRS. WISLIN: "We will do our best. There is only one place we can buy these things; Xie Jiao Road."

Mrs. Wislin picks up a bag filled with a soft powder.

	MRS. WISLIN: "Ok, This's for you,Hally. You go first."

	LEAN WISLIN: "Hally hasn't even travelled by the Hufenlu, Ok?"

	HALLY PORTER: "Hulu powder?"

	MRS. WISLIN: "Then you go first, Let Hally see how to use it. You go first. Ok?"

She leads her son into the fireplace and gives him a handful of powder.

	LEAN WISLIN: "Xie Jiao Road!"

Lean disappears in a bright, green flame. Hally is horrified.

	MRS. WISLIN: "Do you see it? It's simple don't be afraid. Come on."

Hally relents and approaches the fireplace. Mrs. Wislin remains encouraging, giving detailed instructions along the way.

	MRS. WISLIN: "Come! Go into quickly be careful with you head. Like this,grasp a hand of powder. Yes, that's right. Remember you must be very clear."

	HALLY PORTER: "Blood road!"

Hally has disappeared, but said the wrong name. (Not that you can tell here...) The Wislins look worried at the empty fireplace.

	MRS. WISLIN: "What did he just say?"

	OLD WELSLY: "Blood road."

	MRS. WISLIN: "I think so."

Our hero is thrown out of anothr fireplace, having ended up in a dark, dirty store. After getting a hand stuck in a cursed claw, Hally leaves the building - having accidentally entered the bad part of town - and comes face
to face with a wicked-looking hag.

	HAG: "Are you lost,darling?"

	HALLY PORTER: "I'm fine,thank you. I just go into..."

	HAG: "Follow us! We'll help you find the way home!"

	HALLY PORTER: "No,thanks."

A whole crowd has now formed, getting ever closer to Hally in a rather threatening fashion. But there is one friendly face at the very back of the crowd. The ruffians back off.

	HAIGE: "Hally?"

	HALLY PORTER: "Haga!"

	HAIGE: "How can you get here? Come over quickly!"

Hally runs over to Haige and the two leave the alley quickly.

	(Night-travelling road)

	HAIGE: "You are very dirty,Hally! Lingering on the Night-travelling road! It's not a good place! Hope noone see you here! Or they will think you are doing bad things!"

Hally is pushed along by Haige's faceless body double, while his dubbed-in voice is - in this version - acting rather creepier thanusual.

	HALLY PORTER: "I'mlost,l... Wait,then what do you go there to do?"

	HAIGE: "I---Oh,l...I'm looking for a... Hally."

The two are spotted by Hally's dear friend, Mely Gland, who runs up to them.

	MELY GLAND: "Hally! Hega!"

	HAIGE: "How do you do,Shelly?"

	MELY GLAND: "It's nice to meet you!"

	HALLY PORTER: "I'm glad to see you too."

	MELY GLAND: "Why your glasses is so dirty?"

	HALLY PORTER: "Oh."

Mely casts a spell to fix Hally's glasses (even though she said that the was going to clean them.)

	MELY GLAND: "Eyes,recover."

	HALLY PORTER: "I'd recite the..."

	HAIGE: "Next you'd be safe,Hally. Ok, I'll leave you here."

	MELY GLAND: "Ok,goodbye!"

	HALLY PORTER: "Goodbye."

Haige leaves.

	MELY GLAND: "Be quick,everybody are worrying."
