一 background: nuezhen grew up in quindao with both of her parents, and had a pretty normal childhood. she moved to america when she was 13 and was actually kinda isolated in school since she wasn't really really fluent in english yet but had friends that she could hang around (though most of them were formed because her parents socialized around the neighborhood). there was a bit of a culture shock, especially since she moved in her teenage years (which she never had an awkward phase in thank god). her parents were strict and were your stereotypical high-standard asian parents but she loved them anyway, knowing that they had just wanted the best for her future and all that. nuezhen got into writing because of all the tv shows / movies / cartoons she would watch (her favourite english cartoon being max and ruby), and she read in her spare time-- it was fun, and a way for her to learn english quickly in the time that she needed. being someone who picked up on english quickly, and got the hang of how society worked, nuezhen, as she entered high school, was really one of the " popular girls ". not that she really cared-- she just wanted to be on the dance team and get on with it. she's always liked dancing, and it was pretty much the only artsy thing her parents actually cared about. even though she wasn't much of a ballet person, she did get the hang of the more intense choreographies-- the six years of martial arts that she took as a child back in quindao really helped. when she graduated out of high school, she was accepted into ucla as a psychology major, though she had a minor in dance.

一 personality: nuezhen is someone who knows how to work with what people want to get what she wants. she's charismatic, charming, and cunning, a snake behind her petite stature and soft eyes-- it's easy to fall into her trap. she's a very alluring person, especially when you first meet her. wide smiles and polite talk are her specialty, just clicking with pretty much everybody that she meets and wrapping them around her slender fingers. she's confident in her skills, and isn't afraid to accept a challenge if it presents itself. nuezhen is also incredibly stubborn, and will do anything-- no matter what it takes-- to get the outcome that she wants, which also makes her competitive as hell (and a sore loser). she's passionate, and will pursue any goal she sets for herself with as much as she possibly can. despite her amazing social skills and ability to learn things quickly, nuezhen has a habit of becoming bored of something (or someone) quite quickly, which is why she actually ends up hating a conversation minutes after it's started. she actually doesn't even like most people-- they were all either too talkative or too boring-- but continues to talk to them because a) nuezhen kind of feels bad if she just stops a conversation if someone seems genuinely happy to be have started it, and b) the information she gets, no matter how big or small, could be important in the near future. she's not all fake, though, as she genuinely cares for people who decide to put up with her bullshit, and is always happy to talk to you and will actually initiate a conversation. nuezhen is extremely protective over those she loves and cares about (most of that list is her family), and actually quite vengeful if you decide to mess with any of them. she's passive aggressive with moment of aggressiveness (if you push the right buttons), and usually hides her true intentions behind a light smile (with a bit of sarcasm). when it comes to actual romantic feelings, there's not a lot to say. as someone who's never looked at the romance side of life, nuezhen is extremely oblivious as to what counts as flirting and what counts as friendly talk, and is clueless when it comes to dealing with the realization that she actually likes someone-- which actually ends up with her becoming a bit hot-and-cold, but also extremely dramatic whenever she begins to actually feel it.
