        「HONEY」 → In the beginning, it was just a nickname used amongst close friends and family members because of the way hanui (hani) and honey sounded extremely similar but after the other contestants heard Minki calling his dear bestfriend by this nickname instead of her actual name, it suddenly catched on. Except, the others seem to have a totally different meaning— her moves and skillset are fluid while her compliments are sweet yet hard to get, both are exactly like honey.
         「CHANI」 → Its literally just her surname and first name combined. Her colleagues call his this because not only is it simpler but it's easier than saying her whole name, Cha Hanui, during times of need.
         「MADAM CHA」 → producers call her this for many reasons, some differing between bad and good. the bad reason is because of the way she is edited, blunt, full of attitude and has a lack of compassion. they call her this to mock her as if madam refers to her being high-nosed. the good reason of the two is because of the way that trainees talk well about her and the few good screencaps that shows her sensible side, producers have picked up on it and believes that she is a fair madam who not only has many sides to her but cares well for her trainees/students.

ㅡBACKGROUND :
      Born on June 12, 1996, Hanui spent a part of her childhood in Suncheon where her mothers family resided. Her family wasn't the richest people nor were they the poorest, in terms of class, they were that typical mid-class family. After passing 1st grade level, she moved back to Busan where majority of her fathers family resided, often going back to Suncheon to visit.

       Growing up in Busan was an adventure for Hanui. Most of her fathers extended family consisted of boys— the only girls being her, her mom, aunt, grandmother and her cousin, Cha Saerin, who felt more like a sister than anything else. Being the only two young females within the family, they were practically bound to group aggressively. Being born into a family full of guys meant being raised like a guy; this was probably the biggest spark towards her boyish interests, and strong and straightforward personality. Of course, there was her mothers family who had much more females but Hanui barely had time in each visit to grab ahold of their feminine ways.

         The day after she had turned 8 years old, a family moved into the house beside hers. That's where she met Choi Minki, who was just a year older than her. When sassy met blunt, it wasn't such a great combination at first— it was like adding fire to the fuel. In the beginning, they hated each other. Things was always a challenge between each other, sometimes a simple game of basketball/soccer turned into a heated competition, even simple things like who had more friends than who was fit within the criteria! But as real friends became hard to find, hate eventually turned into platonic love and they were best friends more than they were enemies. Their competitive nature, similar interests and differing yet resembling personalities had brought them closer than they had even planned to be. To say they were inseparable was an understatement, they practically had a schedule every week of what they were gonna do, who's gonna sleep over who's. He was a huge impact on her life, even helping to shape her into the way she is now.

          Just before her first year of high school started, she had gotten accepted to study abroad in Australia for a year. It was a difficult choice, leaving her family and friends was never something that she wanted to do so early in her life and as much as she wanted to go, she also didn't. Through the encouraging words and heavy promises, she ended up going along with studying abroad. Although she went to Australia for educational purposes, she had learned far more than academics, she had learned how to dance— and this is where everything began, her passion for dance that is.

          When she moved back to Korea, her friends and family were surprised at the sudden change within her dream. Even Minki was surprised, as he had yet to break the news to her about becoming a pledis trainee— but her mom who was a teacher had immediately supported her dream of being a dancer, not an idol, but a dancer. Her dad was unsure about it but knew best then to get in between Hanui and her dream. When Minki had finally announced the news, he had tried to persuade her into auditioning, which she did— She had auditioned for a couple of company's but found that being an idol wasn't what she wanted. Hanui wanted to dance and perform without the whole singing/rapping package.

           When Minki had left to Seoul, Hanui had began to enroll into art schools where she could study dancing. She even joined dancing competitions and dance crews, hopping from each crew till she found one that suited her best. After graduating from highschool, her and her cousin moved to Seoul together to attend the same college. She spent the past couple of years as a choreographer/dance teacher at 1million (a dance studio in Seoul) and became quite known for choreographing idol groups— her stance had landed her to be on Produce 101.

           He's a person who can go hard on other people but never hard on his own kids. He is quite good natured and respectable, not to mention that he is quite known for his leadership qualities that is often displayed through business. Before his business came along, he was known as funny and loving but now he's so distant that everyone has kinda forgotten what kind of person he truly is. Despite being soft for his family, if a time comes where he has to be stern, then he will be. As most dads should be, he is very protective and can sometimes be judgmental over people who may enter the family. The reason why Hanui and her father isn't as close as they should be is because he's often busy managing his business which caused a natural drift in their relationship.

           She's a mixture of strict and laidback. Having a teacher as a mom not only makes one cautious, but you also have the obligation to never give up on things. Her personality often differs from being a blunt and sassy person to a person filled of compassion and respect. She's the type of person to push you out of your comfort zone, even when you're not open to it. She'll never let you give up so easily and will often smack you or scold you for even thinking about it. As a individual, she considers herself to be a persuasive and supportive person. She is an old soul with many wise lessons, her kids has probably already lost count of how many lectures they had to sit through. As a mother, she doesn't want to get in the way of her kids dreams. She is also the type to brag about her own children to her friends, definitely one of THOSE mothers. Hanui is very close to her mother because she feels as if nobody understands her better than her own mother, and is very thankful for the effort that Heeyeon puts in to keep up with her.

           The typical annoying elder brother. He is very funny and showcases more savageness than anyone in his family. Like his sister, he is a straight forward person except he comes off as stupid more than blunt. He sucks at giving advice but there are very few times where his advice may come in handy/be effective. There's times where he comes off as a ditsy person— actually, that might be most of the time, but he works hard to get where he is. Taemin is a sports major in college, and unlike his sister who only loves to dance and perform, he likes to play sports more than anything else. Although rare, he does have his tender moments and will do anything to protect his younger sister. The push and pull in their love and hate sibling-ship is probably what makes Hanui and her brother so close. They relatable on many things, have the same sense of humor, and lowkey look out for eachother.

             Hanui's #1 hypewoman!!! Saerin is like a darker version of Hanui, personality wise. Although there wasn't much about her in the background, she's still very important to Hanui and plays a significant role in her life. She's sassy, blunt, emo, and probably the most hilarious person that you'll ever meet. Standing at 5'11, she's practically like Hanui's body guard— as if the girl couldn't handle her own battles but oh wells. Saerin is the type to bring up the randomest crap, laugh at her own jokes insisting that it was funnier than it had seemed, be kinky at anytime, etc. She's Hanui's other half (sorry Minki) and will always be there to make the other laugh when she had a bad day. They've been through everything together and holds a special part in eachothers lives. Probably the weirdest yet greatest cousinship known to man.

            Hanui's and Minki's bestfriendship is everything platonic. Minki is someone who is true to himself, which is rare to find in this society. He doesn't care about everyone else opinion and goes with his own flow, not to mention that he's confident in his skin which is one of the many reasons that Hanui admires him. Minki is a reliable friend, who never sugarcoats the truth which is exactly what people like her need. His sass and undying goofiness is what makes him even more lovable than he already is, it's probably one of the best combinations that one could have in their personality. Sassy + Bluntly = An everlasting friendship.

CONFIDENT | Hanui knows that she's talented and that she has a lot to bring to the table without anyone telling her so, it's the lack of self-promotion and nonexistent desire of needing someone to be with her that proves this trait well. She vibes with her own flow and doesn't need anyone's approval for it. She is completely secured with who she is and trusts no one more than herself, the self love within this one is strong. Her confidence showcases well through her dancing and the way she brings herself up. To say that she had gotten her confidence from dancing isn't all a lie but that's just a mere part of it. Growing up with a bestfriend like Choi Minki had taught her more than a thing or two. One thing great about this is that haters never bother her, unless she wants them to (;

STRAIGHTFORWARD | Hanui holds nothing back. She'll call someone out if she wants to and she'll speak up on how she feels. If she wants to, she'll put people in their place and isn't afraid of hurting their feelings in the process of it. Unless it was questions regarding her privacy/private life, she's completely truthful. Being straightforward doesn't mean she voices her opinion of disliking someone's outfit or terrible diet, no, it's more like her voicing opinions that ACTUALLY matter. I mean no one wants to hurt the trainees, especially when they're at a vulnerable state because of this show but that doesn't mean she's gonna sugarcoat things— she's gonna let them know her dissatisfactions, their weak points and what they should be improving on. If she really feels like something's up, she's gonna release it out of her system. Sometimes this trait is a positive thing but at the same time, it can be a negative thing as well.

AMBITIOUS AND WILLFUL | Hanui is completely ambitious. Sometimes this can be a positive trait and sometimes it can be a negative trait. Positive because it shows her will and determination to make her dreams work out and to assure that she'll end up successful. Negative because sometimes this means to sacrifice all there is to make that dream a reality.

COMEDIC, PLAYFUL | Someone has to be the mood maker around here, I mean what's a interesting cast without one funny member? This girl in particular lives off of sarcasm and witty comebacks. Some may consider her a smart mouth because of her wits and flat out disses but none the less, they all enjoy this playful part of personality. This usually comes out when she has to train/teach Minki and the meme trainees or specifically when she's in a really good mood. Sometimes her jokes make come as blunt remarks but everyone knows her intention wasn't to be rude— there's never really a bad mood when she's around unless she's pissed or anxious about something.

PERFECTIONIST | She's not one who tries to get the job done hastily, she's more of the type to take her time in order to get the best results. Whether it's took several weeks or months, if she's done/created something that's short to perfection then she'll redo everything until she's gain that title. Hanui is a very picky person and at times can be indecisive because of her need to have everything be Perfect, at times this is a good trait for her because she'll always deliver the best results but it's also a negative trait cause she may come off stubborn and argumentative.

PASSIONATE | Her passion lies deep within her dancing. It oozes from her expressions that she puts on during each routine and the way that she showcases her own emotions through her fluid yet sharp body movements. After all the hardships and low income that comes with being a dancer/choreography, not once did she think of giving it up— I'm sure that was enough to display how passionate and desperate she is for this dream.

SINCERE, GENUINE | She's not used to giving compliments as she is with giving advice but whenever she does do so, it's always genuine. Hanui's great at choosing words, it's helps people feel her sincerity not just through her tone of voice but her speech as well. Although, actions do speak louder than words which makes her a doer more than a speaker.

OUTGOING | This is one of her positive traits, its definitely one that outshines all of the negative traits that she has. Growing up, she was brought up to be more of an extrovert than a introvert. With all of the back and forth traveling from her mothers hometown to her fathers hometown, conversing with countless of people (most being her differing families) had definitely impacted her to be more sociable and open. She's never shy when it comes to meeting new people, in fact, it's a rare sight to see— she's more jovial than anything else.

CYNICAL | Despite being outgoing and sociable, she has this habit of hesitance when it comes to trusting people and being interested in things. She had gone through too many broken promises, disappointment after hope and canceled plans to trust someone so easily. Despite being confident, she can't help but have doubts at times— not regarding herself but more of the things within her life. She's realistic, so everything that occurs in her life has her thoughts running to the 'what if corners' within her mind. She thinks twice about many things, platonic and romantic relationships included.

ARGUMENTATIVE, STUBBORN | You probably saw this coming but it was bound to happen. When you grow up in a lifestyle filled of male family members, you can not just grow up to be mellow— unless your family isn't a rowdy and overly playful group? But anyways, sometimes her confidence can get to her and she's gonna believe that she's right with everything. When people don't agree with her decision or her statements, she becomes argumentative and stubborn. She hates this side of her because it's seriously toxic but honestly, she can't help who she is. At least she's openminded enough to know that she's wrong afterwards.

PATIENT | Being a teacher and especially a choreographer, it's important to have patience. Teaching someone, especially a beginner at dance, a new choreographer can be frustrating and stressful which is why it's important for her to not lose her patience. She teaches the boys step by step of each choreography, when she's allowed to at least, even the Nayana dance which was extremely hard as most of the newcomers had difficulty with getting most of the moves down. Thank god for her patience because if she wasn't, she probably would've lost it and snap.

 CARING | Surprise, surprise? Or maybe not? Any who, Hanui is actually very caring. It is a trait that was passed on by her mother and grandmother. She's genuinely concerned about everyone else's wellbeing more than she is of hers. Some may say that she's selfish while others may say that she's selfless, it'll always be a mix but only those close to her will know. It's not hard to see Hanui's caring side— maybe she cares in different ways compared to others, but in the end it's still caring.

ENCOURAGING | She's great at advice meaning that her words have a great effect on people who are going through tough times. Maybe it's because she's experienced those hardships as well or probably because she's looking at their situation with a bigger view— either way, her words are a sign of a strength and encourages the others to be strong. Her straight forward actions are helpful when it comes to encouraging, because not only does she speak the truth but she delivers it sincerely which holds a great impact on others.

PROTECTIVE | She has the intense urge to keep people that she cares about safe, this also applys to her students when their suffering from malicious comments. Especially to those younger than her, she can't help but feel the need to take care of them differently compared to those older than her.

COMPETITIVE | Hanui's competitiveness is not something to mess with so DONT LET HER MULTIPLE SIDES FOOL YOU. She loves a challenge and is aggressive when it comes to sports, games and of course, dancing. She never backs down unless she HAS to. The negative thing with this is that she's sometimes TOO aggressive and too serious but the positive thing is that this is extremely entertaining for others.

COOL | The way Hanui showcases who she is as an individual is enough to make her seem cool. She oozes with this type of swag that's hard to come by for others. Despite coming off as intimidating at times, it's honestly just because of her cool demeanor. She's pretty laid-back when her competitive and comedic side isn't on display. Honestly, there's never an awkward moment with her because her coolness brushes it off well. Hanui definitely looks the coolest when she's giving advice or just simply observing the kids, her gaze itself looks pretty endearing. I'd say this one of the things that makes her admirable to the eyes of the trainees and producers.

REALISTIC | Being imaginative is a great trait, it's a hopeful set. Hanui was once like that but after growing up and being raised in a family of guys, her mindset had drastically changed and adapted to the reality of things. She thinks about the consequences of each situation more then the satisfaction that could come with it— why? Because that's just her being realistic. She'd rather live in the truth rather than dream of an ideal life that gives her false hope.

CHEEKY, EXTRA | Daehwi says rude things at times, but it usually comes off cunning which is practically why he's cheeky. He's a very amusing kid who lets his personality run free most of the time.  Although this trait doesn't usually come out when he's with Hanui, in the beginning at least, it ALWAYS comes out when he's with his dongsaengs.

TENDER | He's very gentle to the people that he loves, and is easily affected by their distress. When he loves, he loves fullheartedly and puts his soul into it. This trait makes him reliable and loving, it's almost impossible to hate this boy.

MATURE, OBEDIENT | Despite being a 01 liner, he's very good at listening and acting as if he's older than he really is. Most at his age wouldn't dare to fight for their dream after the death of their parent, nor would they stay as bright as he is— if that doesn't give off the sense of maturity and hardworking then i don't know what to tell you. Youngmin is proof that Daehwi acts more like a hyung than a dongsaeng, this being stated in his VLIVE. Maybe it's because he's been a trainee for over two years that hes grown up so well, but either way, his emotional development of adult characteristics is very evident in the way he acts. If it weren't for his cute gestures, you'd probably think that he's older than you.

SUBTLE/TIMID | Daehwi is one of those introverted YET extroverted people. Hes very timid in front of people who he finds scary/intimidating or has an admiration for. Im not saying that he closes himself off in front of those people but he's more quiet and in a state of "what do i say, what do i do?"

HARDWORKING | Age doesn't define maturity, nor does it define how hardworking someone can be. He's an all arounder, being gifted at composing, writing, dancing, singing, rapping, etc. He shows himself throughout the show that despite being 17, he can still be as hardworking as someone older than him.

CLEVER | He's great at planning and strategizing. Take the BIL team for example, some may say that he's greedy for picking those members but in all honesty, that's a clever plan. Most would do that if they were in his position.

ENERGETIC, BRIGHT, OPTIMISTIC | He's a very bright kid who stays optimistic through the bad times. Despite being tired, emotionally and physically, he still comes off positive and someone radiant. His energy is great, it not only helps create a sense of stage presence but it also keeps the others near him in a hyped mood.

PASSIONATE | He talks about his dream with a sense of love and tenderness. The endless work that Daehwi puts towards his dream showcases how passionate he is about this. His feelings, like most other trainees, are strong and intense— they want this dream more than anything else at this point. This is a trait that makes Hanui admire the kid for who he is.

DETERMINED | Whether he enjoys working with other people or not, he opens himself up so that conversing and getting things done will occur easily. His wants to do something and not letting anyone stop him is what makes his determination loud and clear.

FLAMBOYANT | His confidence, style, and radiant energy attracts people. All of his traits are displayed well and is often appealing to those around him. I believe that the way he holds himself up, and the way he showcases himself around not only his peers but to the producers, makes him flamboyant.

ANXIOUS | There's a point in time where everyone is anxious in their lives, everyone goes through it, but this kid is anxious half of the time— its practically glued into his personality now. He's always uneasy, especially when it comes to lessons. Criticism makes him nervous, and he's always worried about future disagreements. Daehwis scared of failing and not being able to live his dream, his anxiousness is understandable.

PERFECTIONIST | You probably saw this coming since it matches well with traits of Anxiousness, but it's all true. Just like Hanui, he takes time to make things perfect. He won't stop until he's satisfied with everything— actually, even when he is satisfied, his anxiousness makes him doubt himself and everything that he prepared. It's important for someone to keep him grounded at times like these.

ㅡYOUR CHEMISTRY :
→ IN THE BEGINNING | Cha Hanui and Lee Daehwi had nothing more than a Teacher/Student and Idol/Fan relationship. With him being a trainee and her being a choreographer, he had obviously known about her and her talents before the show started. For those who aren't interested in dance, she was a brand new name and face but for people like Daehwi, she was his inspiration in dance. He had even attended one of her past workshops at 1 million studio but was too shy to say so. To his surprise, she had recognized him and a few other trainees for it. Although he wasn't the only one, it still made him happy.

He's very gentle and obedient around Hanui, I think everyone notices this but doesn't think too much about it. Infact, whenever shes around, Daehwi has never felt so timid, so shy and subtle. It felt like he was attending a fanmeet of his favorite idol everytime lessons came around. As for Hanui, his charms had really appealed her. She wanted to know him without having to fully open herself up in the process. Despite the common interest, their Teacher/Student and Performer/Fan relationship was the line, nothing ever crossed it.

At this point, they began to get to know each other. But it was a normal thing as she had started to get to know all of her other students as well.

→ IN THE MIDDLE | Each hardship brings them closer. It was passed midnight when Hanui had gotten a call from the boy, which was quite surprising at first. His subtle stuttering and apologetic words were practically the only thing that she could focus on in her slight daze as she had been on the ground in her studio, half awake and extremely tired from having to finish this kpop groups choreography before deadline. Daehwi had simply called her for some extra mentoring but it wasn't until she picked up had he noticed the time. None the less, Hanui felt that if he had made an effort to call that late then that meant he was passionate about his dream and she always had a soft spot for passionate people. There was this sudden urge within her to protect the boy and to guide him to success. It was just help, what more could come out of it? She thought— its isn't until the practice actually starts and having Minki catch them in the studio alone that she's beginning to realize her feelings.

At this time, Daehwi had felt a feeling of undying anxiety running through his veins. His admiration for Hanui had somehow grown after all of the interactions and such. Hanui knew more than to fall for a 17 year old boy (Korean age), aka someone 5 years younger than her but her feelings had a way of disrespecting her deepest worries. Just the thought and what ifs were getting to her— and him.

IN THE END → I'm honestly indecisive on whether or not they'll end up together. All I know is that 3 months is a enough time for feelings of admiration and interest to grow into love. By the end, they love eachother— age doesn't define love, and although a lot may disagree because she's legal and he's still a minor, you can't control feelings.

ㅡHER JOB :
Being a well known choreographer has always been Hanui's main dream. Right now, it feels like her job is a huge step to success but not once did she actually think that it would be physically and emotionally draining. She loves her job; she's met one of a kind souls through it, taught and learned at the same time, experienced more than she expected (love and life wise) but as much as she loves it, she can't help but feel mentally exhausted. Despite all of the great things that have come out of this, Hanui couldn't just let the bad things go. Sometimes she wonders if this is where she belongs? If this is what she's meant to do? Maybe it's because it's late and she's sensitive and vulnerable at times like these or maybe because she's young and indecisive, but either way she can't help but think about it realistically— is this where she's supposed to be right now?

As for her work relationships, being cynical has kept her from developing deep friendships amongst her colleagues. It takes a while for her to grow close to them, despite what may be seen on camera but at least she's trying. She may be considered as a friend to them but it's not like that for her, it's still progressing. She's just grateful that most, if not all, of her colleagues are understanding of this. Eventually she becomes fond of them and it's probably when she realizes that they opened up so easily to her, if they can do it then why not do it too?

《I DON'T WANT TO BE IN A TEAM WITH HYUNBIN》

ㅡREQUESTED SCENES :
》 Similar to what happened in season 1, during practice, the two instructors (her and someone else) end up interrupting to host a dance battle which has the trainees excited. So they have the boys choose what team they want to be on, but in the end someone from the opposing team (CHOSEN LOVE INTEREST) calls her out to battle with him.

》 Minki calling Hanui out for her crush on a minor who's 3-5 years younger than her (depends on chosen love interest) but after a lot of reassurance and teasing, he eventually becomes her number #2 hype man— after her cousin of course. Here we witness the sass of Minki and the beauty of friendship.

》 Hanui's avoiding the boy after coming to terms with her feelings but that doesn't turn out well as after a dance lesson, the trainee confronts her individually and she's forced to let every sinful feeling go by confessing that she may have feelings for him as well.

》 Hanui, Saerin and Minki are out for lunch and they're both dissing/teasing her about her feelings for this boy.
