Q: Why can you only use US region?

A: So in the JP version of Wild World, there is a glitch called the Letter Header Glitch. Without getting too much into it (as I don't understand much myself) it basically lets you get any item you want which would kinda defeat the purpose of doing this in the first place. Even if you did use the JP version, it won't matter because...

Q: Why can you only use Local Play?

A: To put it simply, Nintendo region locked local multiplayer for this game. So even if I allowed LHG for say just the bells as it lets you get tons of bells quickly, it won't matter since you can't transfer them to the US version. And yes I know Wiimmfi exists, but since I know you can get 100% without using any homebrew related tools, then I figured I would ban that as well.

Q: If LHG is "banned", then what glitches do you allow?

A: Any other glitches really. I should note that in the US version, you can't do LHG anyway so that's why it says "banned". The only useful glitch I'll be using is the duplication glitch which is used for bells, flowers for perfect town, and any other items that are capable of being duped. The most game breaking one in my opinion is fossils but even then, it's not too much of a big deal. This is a theoretical speedrun afterall, so glitches would be allowed.

Q: What do you mean by "theoretical speedrun"? Why not just do it single segment?

A: Well, I'm pretty sure this run will take around 100+ hours maybe. Probably about half of that is gonna be the bell duping (yes the dev strikes back with another 999,999,999 bell requirement) and at the same time, this is really just meant to be for fun, with still trying to go as fast as possible.

Q: Can you perform this run on Wii U VC?

A: No, and only because of one reason. The Katie items. You have to play with another person in order for Katie to appear and get the items from her. While you can get Nookingtons in Wii U VC since they changed that, they never bothered removing the Katie items or changing how you can get them so sadly it's impossible to 100% the Wii U VC version. (unless of course you play on JP but this is US only)
