In Luthor’s grand office suite, Otis walked up and peered over his boss’s shoulder at a monitor. Luthor was staring at the dark screen. At first Otis thought the monitor had been shut down or disconnected, but then he saw a faint movement in the darkness. Was that a…fish?
“What are you watching, boss?” Otis asked. “That live feed from the aquarium? Where are the jellyfish?” He smiled, remembering when he’d last seen them. “It’s real peaceful watching them float around. Not a care in the world.” Then he frowned, thinking. “Except, you know, being stuck in a tank.”
Luthor spun around in his chair, glowering. “This isn’t a tank at the aquarium, you fool. It’s the bottom of the harbor.”
“They set up a camera down there?” Otis asked, puzzled. He leaned in, squinting at the screen. “It’s awfully dark. They should put in some lights.”
Restraining a sudden desire to throttle Otis, Luthor said, “This is the video feed from Metallo.” He got out of his chair and walked away from the monitor.
