Divine Taste Gets Put to the Test - Beerus visits Panya

[2018-11-10 22:09] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: [color=cyan]“Thank you! Thank you! Please come again and try my newest creation next week! I’m glad you enjoyed the Triple Cheese Towers of Dipping! Thank you!”[/color]

Panya was seeing the last of her customers off now that her tower buffet had been pretty much devoured. Rumor had spread fast and she was shocked at the outcome of patrons this time around! Especially the actual paying patrons. The entire shop still smelled essentially like pizza, only such was in the form of dough balls coated in cheesy goodness, stuffed with layered meats, mushrooms, black olives and more, all set into towers created from stacked bunt pans. The buffet still had pots of dipping sauces available, from tomato to one infused with garlic, garlic butter and of course for some.. ranch.

As the last person left, Panya leaned against the door frame with an all too pleased smile, her broom just resting tethered to her back and arms folding across her chest. [color=cyan]“That was a wonderful rush..”[/color] Her gaze slid over to the messy table and its few remaining meager tidbits of leftovers.

[2018-11-10 22:18] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] "[color=blue]Ah, here we are, my lord.[/color]" Whis said calmly as himself and the destroyer god arrived not too far from Panya's culinary shop. "[color=purple]Thank you, Whis, you may go....and...perhaps I'll bring you back something.[/color]" Beerus said with a slight grin, his attendant simply giving an eye roll before departing.  The cat god himself folded his arms behind his back and casually made his way down the street, simply following his nose to soon arrive at Panya's shop, his tail flicking lightly as he pushes open the door and takes a step in, though he immediately stops, and simply let's the delicious aroma of all the foods in the air treat his sense of smell, purring audibly.  It was several long, perhaps quite awkward moments before he opened his eyes, and glanced over at the feline who was tending the business, his tail flicking a bit more, a peculiar purple ribbon attached to the end of it. "[color=purple]This is quite the cozy little place you have here.[/color]" He says lightly, glancing about with his arms still folded behind his back before his large yellow gaze casts back toward Panya.

[2018-11-10 22:27] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: It was a strange sight for Panya, to turn as the door opened and watch the cat god standing there. And standing there. And standing there. Eyes shut and [i]standing there[/i]. Lips pursed, Panya watched Beerus curiously as she quietly tended to the mess. [color=cyan]"Oh! You [i]are[/i] awake.. well, [b]welcome![/b] And thank you.. I'm Panya, owner of this establishment. I'm quite proud of my little [i]Divine Taste[/i]. You just missed the rush of the unveiling of this week's buffet option: [b][i]The Triple Cheese Towers of Dipping.[/i][/b] But I keep the place well stocked. So please, come in and have a seat. If you have a hankering for anything in particular, on or off menu, let me know!"[/color] Panya's wide light blue gaze trailed over Beerus, ribbon and all. He was dressed unlike anyone she had ever seen and furthermore.. was a feline. She normally only had human customers or the occasional canine.

[2018-11-10 22:36] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] blinks a few times as he hears Panya, and tilts his head for a moment, tail flicking a little more "[color=purple]Divine Taste, such an interesting name...I suppose I'll truly be the judge of that.[/color]" He says somewhat to himself, arms still folded behind his back as he makes his way a bit further in, and keeps looking around.  His sensitive nose could pick up every delicious aroma wafting through the air, but he wasn't quite able to locate any of it, he simply let's out a light sigh, trying to compose himself in such a delightful establishment, curious as to the extent of the fellow feline's culinary expertise. "[color=purple]You may call me Lord Beerus, dear Panya, I'm a deity, and word of your little establishment has reached even the ears of gods.[/color]" and by that, he means he caught Whis munching on something scrumptious and of course demanded to be taken to the location where the food was acquired at once!  He blinks once more as he turns to the feline, purring a bit more "[color=purple]Triple Cheese Towers of Dipping?...interesting...I don't suppose you have any...ahem, pudding?[/color]" he asks, rather hopeful.

[2018-11-10 22:46] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: Her right ear flicked, a single slender brow lofting. Nothing was said as she finished the clean up to let Beerus get settled, only to pause and turn as the catgod introduced himself as.. a [b]cat god[/b]... Light blue eyes narrowed slightly, peering over Beerus up and down. She sensed nothing.. and she herself had no detectable ki, though certainly nothing godly about her. [color=cyan]"I... see... Well then.. welcome [i]Lord Beerus[/i]!"[/color] Panya's smile hadn't dropped one bit. [color=cyan]"Pudding? Why yes I do. I keep a large variety in stock for various sweet tooth desires and some use such as dipping for the cookies and waffers for that extra bit of tasty zing in a combination of mind-blowing flavors in absence of my cookie sandwiches or layered cakes rotating through the week. Which flavor do you have interest in? Chocolate? A Quadruple Threat? Layered Delight? Strawberry? Dark chocolate? Peanut butter? Vanilla? Strawberry? Raspberry? Smore Goodness?"[/color] She beamed, straightening up as she washed off her hands. [color=cyan]"And no matter the flavor or complexity, they're all the same price."[/color] ....Was Panya seriously expecting the almighty Destroyer to [b][i]pay?[/i][/b]

[2018-11-10 22:55] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] slowly makes his way over to a table, sitting down at it as he places his paws on the table, and begins to lightly tap on it with his claws, letting out a light yawn as he hears her name off all the options, blinking as he noticed she said Strawberry twice, thinking that must be her specialty or some such, he goes with that. "[color=purple]Hmm, I suppose strawberry will do, for now.[/color]" he says lightly, ribboned tail flicking a bit more as he keeps picking up further aromas in the air, particularly one of his favorite. "[color=purple]Hmm, and is that pizza I smell?...might I have a slice with a bit of everything on it...ahem, except pineapple, leave that off.[/color]" He assumed that needed no explanation, and waits for her to procure the delicious food he requested, still looking around a bit to take in the surroundings, the place was quite cozy, and of course, he completely ignored her mentioning of a price for the food.

[2018-11-10 23:08] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: [color=cyan]"Hah! Wonderful! I happen to have a new batch created with some freshly harvested from my own garden! But you look like a chocolate type so I'm going to do a little tinkering! If you're interested?..."[/color] Panya clapped her hands together happily and bounced off for the counter. [color=cyan]"The pizza scent is from the Triple Cheesy Towers of Dipping."[/color]  This is what she brought over to Beerus first.. not a [i]slice of pizza[/i] but instead.. a medium tower of balls layered with all of the fixings.  [color=cyan]"It's pizza in ball form set into a tower for pull-apart goodness with a variety of dipping sauces. The special aspect beyond design comes from the dough. I mixed in rosemary, parsley and garlic and created it with mozzarella and almond flour instead of wheat while it was layered with white cheddar, swiss, more mozzarella, and dusted with powdered Parmesan."[/color] She left off the pineapple dip, but included three dipping dishes.. one of ranch, one her specialty house tomato sauce, and one garlic butter. And of course, a glass of iced water. [color=cyan]"Enjoy! And if you'd like anything to drink besides water, please let me know."[/color] Panya didn't stick around too long.. She moved to go toy with her strawberry concoction but her gaze did keep darting to Beerus in hopes her newest customer enjoyed her creation.

[2018-11-10 23:17] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] simply blinks for a few moments, glancing between her and the cheesy tower in front of him, having not seen anything like it before, he wasn't even sure if it was actually edible, though the delightful aroma wafting from it said otherwise.  He slowly reaches a paw out, and pulls one of the cheesy pizza balls and then dips it in the garlic butter, watching it drip for a moment before opening his maw wide and tossing the whole thing in with a loud nomf! Savoring the taste before he swallows and visibly shivers at the incredible deliciousness of all those flavors coming together in perfect unison. "[color=purple]This...is astounding...perhaps your establishment will live up to that name![/color]" he says with a loud purr, grabbing another one of those pizza balls and dipping it into the tomato sauce, once more scarfing it down and then taking a long sip of the ice water.  He was quite impressed at her ability to mix all the different cheeses together combined with the toppings, and the various sauces only made it that much better.  "[color=purple]I can only imagine what other delightful foods you have, you may just give Bulma a run for her money with treats like this.[/color]" He says with a smile, ribboned tail flicking a bit more as he dips another pizza ball in the garlic butter and devours it with another happy nomf!

[2018-11-10 23:27] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: His reaction brought forth a delighted purr of her own, kinked tail flicking behind her. [color=cyan]"I wouldn't have named my place Divine Taste if it wasn't true."[/color] Granted, she was leery on the whole.. god aspect. Still, his reaction was most pleasing and filled her with pride. [color=cyan]"Bulma.. Bulma.. Oh! She runs Capsule Corp, right? I think that's who placed an order after I made sure the relief workers were appreciated with some free meals for all of their hard work here at West City. I picked this location actually just for that reason."[/color] The ribbon was noted and eyed a bit as she found Beerus to be a.. most peculiar feline! She just shook her head with a warm smile and stepped over, setting a freshly created cup of specialty pudding before him. It was strawberry with small sweetened strawberry chunks and shaved chocolate bits inside with a chocolate whip layer topped in strawberry coated pop rocks. [color=cyan]"I think I'll call this a Strawberry Chocolate Bang.." [/color]Right next to the cup she set down the spoon on top of.. the bill. While it wasn't actually expensive, it was still [b]a bill.[/b]

[2018-11-10 23:40] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] nods as he hears Panya, tail flicking a little more as he keeps scarfing down pizza balls, and then pauses as he eyes the pudding she brought him, he almost appears stunned, unmoving, his nose twitching slightly, and he let's out a long sigh.  Slowly, he leans over, and gives the pudding a light sniff, inhaling the perfect aroma of the sweet strawberry and chocolate shavings, licking his lips as he picks up the spoon, and slowly scoops up the first bite, opening his maw to place it into his mouth and simply let it rest on his tongue for a bit, making sure he gets to savor every scrumptious texture and flavor of the dish before swallowing that first bite after what appeared to be several long moments, his eyes closed the whole time. "[color=purple]Ooh...that is...indeed divine."[/color] is all he mutters out, and continues to take bite after agonizingly slow bite, though once more he appears to completely ignore any indication of that bill and is far too distracted by all this culinary goodness to pay much attention to anything else.

[2018-11-10 23:55] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: A happy patron and that [b]look[/b] of sheer savoring bliss was truly the biggest compliment she could be given. Panya's cheeks took on a slight reddened hue as her smile grew to the point she had to close her eyes. With a deep breath, she let out a pleased, [color=cyan]"Wonderful!~"[/color] Panya stepped over to the door, turning the Open sign to Closed to avoid any other customers wandering in. Granted, she certainly wasn't going to shoo Beerus out, but he wouldn't be disturbed by anyone else entering.  [color=cyan]"I suppose then my shop's name has the approval of [i]Lord Beerus[/i].."[/color] As she let him eat and glanced over time to time, Panya was on the move with cleaning the table tops with a damp rag. [color=cyan]"I picked the purrrfect name."[/color] Panya indeed rolled that r quite happily. [color=cyan]"Needed to be catchy, sweet and simple but different and alluring. If divinity had a tangible taste... this would be it."[/color]

[2018-11-11 00:04] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] finally finishes the strawberry chocolate pudding after what was probably 20 or so minutes of the absolute slowest eating she'd probably ever seen, only to turn suddenly to that tower of pizza balls and start scarfing them down again, tail flicking happily as he looks over at her cleaning up. "[color=purple]You indeed chose quite well, seems my attendant had picked a good location to get his last meal from, you might just end up being our personal caterer[/color] He says with a happy purr, soon finishing the meal before him before glancing at the piece of paper she had given, that bill...."[color=purple]What's this?[/color]" He asks curiously, seems to have a bunch of numbers on it, maybe she was letting him know how many she had left of that particular meal so he could come back for more!

[2018-11-11 00:10] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: Panya had cleaned off most of the tables and half of them had their chairs flipped up onto the table edges upside down by the time Beerus finally finished the pudding. [color=cyan]"Attendant?..."[/color] As he asked about the bill, after mentioning he had [i]an attendant[/i].. Panya tilted her head some.. gaze between the bill and Beerus. Her voice was a little softer now. [color=cyan]"It's the bill.. You know, how much zeni is owed for you to pay for the food..."[/color]

[2018-11-11 00:19] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] blinks a bit more as he hears her, quickly scarfing down another pizza ball and then holding up the piece of paper, waving it around a bit as he stares up at her "[color=purple]My dear feline, a destroyer does not pay for meals, gracing your establishment with my divine presence should be payment in and of itself![/color]" Did he mention he was a destroyer? He keeps staring at her for several long moments before glancing back at the paper and then letting out a huff. "[color=purple]I'll get my attendant to cover the cost, I suppose you must do pretty well for yourself here.[/color]" He says lightly as he stands up from the table, and watches her start to close up shop, tail flicking lightly as he simply starts to wander around her establishment, perhaps going into places he probably shouldn't as he keeps sniffing the air to follow the various aromas.

[2018-11-11 00:27] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: Panya quirked a brow at the declaration from the catgod. [color=cyan]"Oh? Well if the almighty deity is not capable of payment.. [i]then he must be capable of something[/i].."[/color] She.. had no idea who he truly was, despite him telling her. This is why as Beerus wanders around, she lets him.. only to eventually, suddenly step in front of him as he's behind the counter and.. she thrusts a dampened mop into his hands. [color=cyan]"If a destroyer doesn't pay for meals.. then he can destroy the dirt on the floor for meals. Your attendant didn't partake of my hard work, effort, hospitality and cuisine right now. [i]You did.[/i] Certainly you're a [b]capable[/b], responsible, proud [b]deity[/b] and [b]not[/b] a common [b]beggar[/b], [i]right?[/i]"[/color] Panya was at this point certain that.. Beerus was a narcoleptic mental patient who wandered away from his attendant...

[2018-11-11 00:40] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] keeps looking around, only to glance back over at Panya, and then blinks as she thrusts a mop into his paws, blinking a few more times....blink blink....he than narrows his eyes at her. "[color=purple]Do not think your skill in the culinary arts excuses you from disrespecting a deity, I could destroy this whole place in an instant![/color] He says with a loud growl, though it seems Whis was keeping an eye on the situation and his new favorite place, knocking on the window of the establishment before simply dissolving it and passing through it, only to then rematerialize it again. "[color=blue]Now now, my lord, this kind feline gave you the meal you requested, and you should offer her your thanks.[/color]" Whis says lightly. Beerus simply folds his arms over his chest and huffs, lightly waving a paw "[color=purple]Thanks....[/color]" He says with a shrug, and as he does Whis waves his staff, a large pile of zeni, several times what the actual cost of the meal was materializes on the counter for Panya, payment, as promised.

[2018-11-11 00:49] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: [color=cyan]"I've shown you nothing but respect [i]Lord Beerus[/i] and only ask you respect my food that I worked so hard to create for your enjoyment."[/color] She glanced to the knock... only to double-take as Whis helped himself in. She stumbled back slightly, looking between the two in her shop [i]most curiously.[/i] [color=cyan]"You're welcome. [i]And I do mean that.[/i] While your tone says one thing.. That look of sheer bliss and utter enjoyment of tingled, delighted tastebuds certainly screamed volumes!"[/color] There came another double-take, which doubled in itself at the.. rather large amount of zeni on the counter that.. Whis had just.. put there.. with.. a wave.. Panya was starting to rethink her thoughts. She reached up, brushing at her furred cheeks and then felt her forehead. [i]Was the delusion contagious?[/i] She was starting to believe it now too.. [color=cyan]"Umm.. th-thank you.. Thank you.. very much.. Uh.. Words cannot express how I feel right now.."[/color] No, no they could not.

[2018-11-11 01:01] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] huffs at her words, as she was right, the cat god was thoroughly impressed by the meal, he folds his arms behind his back. "[color=purple]It was delicious, I'll give you that, maybe I'll come visit again.[/color]" This was by far the best place he had eaten so far during his time on earth, of course he'd be back again! But he made his way to the door, and glanced back at his attendant "[color=purple]Whis! Let's go![/color]" He says with another growl as he walks out. "[color=blue]Be right there, my lord![/color] Whis calls out, then glances back down at Panya "[color=blue]You'll have to forgive Lord Beerus, he's got quite the short temper and the wrong words can set him off rather quickly, rest assured though he definitely enjoyed the meal, and we'll be sure to visit again soon.[/color]" Whis says with a happy smile and a light wave before making his way toward the door as well.

[2018-11-11 01:11] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: Panya wasn't exactly sure of the two.. but certainly Whis was an angel in her mind! [sub]She just.. didn't know this was a literal thing.[/sub] A small nod was made and she followed the two to the door.. only to kick off the ground when Whis passed through. That undetectable ki was pinpointed, used for a concussive leap forward so that she could skid alongside Beerus, to look to him and Whis. Panya swiftly bowed at her waist with a fist thunked to her chest. [color=cyan]"It was an honor to serve you. And thank you for inspiring the Strawberry Chocolate Bang. Perhaps one day I'll create something truly divine enough to honor your names."[/color]

[2018-11-11 01:23] *[user]Beerus GoD[/user] blinks for a moment as he watches the feline start to follow them, and then nods "[color=purple]Indeed, it was an honor to have such a delicious meal, hopefully your future customers enjoy it as well.[/color] He says giving the fellow feline a wave before placing a paw on Whis' shoulder. "[color=blue]We very much look forward to our next visit, until then![/color] Whis says softly, and with a sudden bright flash the two disappear upward, and are gone in moments.

[2018-11-11 01:29] [user]Panya the Sweet[/user]: Panya remained standing there for a few moments in that same position. Slowly, she managed to stand upright, gazing at where the two had been. [color=cyan]"...I'll have to kick my meal designs up a notch if my shop is.. is actually.. somehow attracting such attentions.."[/color] She glanced over at the large displayed name of her bakery and cafe, only to puff up a bit with inner pride, a single fang chewing back her bottom lip. Oh did she ever have a tale to tell Galen! Panya stepped back to her shop, pausing only to pat the doorway's frame. That mop was scooped up in hand and Panya went on to finish her cleaning duties. She had to keep double-taking at the zeni on the counter, unsure if it was real, if it would stay, if she'd wake up and it'd all be a dream... Either way, she was one happy feline.
