  1. We wake up after our long rest. Jack thinks he's figured out the stained glass windows he saw; Ranged, gander, danger, garden.

  3. We head to the forge first, so that Thrax can add the sigil of immolation to Hati's dragon slayer rapier. Thrax forges the sigil into place.

  5. We head to 8:30 next; through the portal is what looks like a library. There's a chest at one end of the room; Hati and Thrax go to check it, is has puzzle piece R in it, Hati takes it. Jade does an investigation of the bookshelves; for the most part, they're very dusty, clearly unused; some of the books aren't dusty, and have titles that have to do with the last four princes.

We take the less dusty books out and go over them, looking for clues as to who the last prince to die is; it turns out that the play is ambiguous about who the last prince to die is, and people make guesses about who the last prince to die is, they think there has to be some secret, hidden way to figure out who the last prince to die is. All the journals discussing the play think that Aeon was a very deliberate person, it might be that the play was designed for this mansion, and that's why no one outside the mansion could figure it out.

  9. Jack searches for more pieces written by Aeon; he finds an entire section of books by Aeon, he also finds other music written by Aeon. Aeon is a much older writer, maybe from thousands of years ago. Sanfire searches for books about Alluevia, he doesn't find anything. Sanfire searches for books about money, finds several, but none seem to stand out.

  11. We head to 9 o'clock next. It's a stormy room, filled with lightning bolts striking over and over again. There's a chest to the left, and a dragon motif to the far end of the room. There's a light orb at the end of the bridge, the end of the 'safe' zone; there's a hand print on the orb.

  13. Thrax puts his hand on the orb; the lightening patterns change, showing us colors; purple, yellow, blue, purple, yellow, blue, purple, green, blue, red. Jack puts his hand on the orb so Thrax can get to the chest; between lightening blasts, he opens the chest to find puzzle piece S, which he gives to Hati.

  15. We go back to the beholder room and put in the colors of the lightning room. It opens up to a stone wall with a tiny peephole in it. Through the peephole we can see a huge globe with chairs around it. The peephole is big enough for a beholder beam to go through. We turn on the rotation beam for a moment, causing the globe to have visibly shifted when we turn it off.

  17. We return to 9 o'clock, nothing's changed. Sanfire goes back to the beholder room with Jack, and puts in the colors of beauty; Hati and Thrax and Jade see no change in the lightning room. Jack and Sanfire try putting in the colors of slumber; we see no change in the lightning room. Sanfire tries to see if there's a way into the globe room, there's no door, but an archway, but the globe is blocking the view of the archway.

  19. Jack and Sanfire put demolition into the beholder; a thin orange beam comes out of the beholder. Sanfire takes out the last color and looks through the peephole; there's a hole through the glove now. They put unlock into the beholder; when they look through the peephole, there's no visible change. Jack and Sanfire return to us.

  21. Sanfire steps forward; he's caught in the lightning and takes -12 damage. Sanfire casts dimension door, takes Jade with him to the other side. Thrax, Jack, and Hati start across the lightning. Thrax takes -7 damage. Thrax takes -5 damage. Thrax takes -12 damage. Thrax takes -10 damage. Thrax takes -10 damage. Thrax takes a potion of healing, healing for +10 health. Hati and Jack take -10 damage and -10 damage.

  23. We reach the next elemental room; Sanfire, Hati, and Jack all take potions of healing. We step into the room, taking cover behind pillars.

  25. Four lightning elementals appear in the corners of the room.

  27. -Lightning Elemental A uses thunderous movement, Thrax takes -4 damage. Thrax reacts with hellish rebuke, hits for -8 damage. Uses volt blast on Thrax, hits for -10 damage. Prepares a spell.
  28. -Lightning Elemental B uses thunderous movement. Uses volt blast on Jade & Jack; Jade takes -10 damage, Jack takes -8 damage. Prepares a spell.
  29. -Hati casts hex on Lightning Elemental A. Eldritch blasts them, hits for -10 damage, breaks their concentration. Second blast hits for -13 damage.
  30. -Jack casts bless on Sanfire, Jade, himself, and Thrax. Casts healing word on Thrax, healing him for +9 health.
  31. -Jade casts fireball, hits lightning elemental A for -18 damage.
  32. -Lightning Elemental casts volt blast, hits Jade for -9 damage. Prepares a spell.
  33. -Lightning Elemental casts volt blast at Sanfire, hits for -13 damage.
  34. -Thrax attacks Lightning Elemental A, hits for -14 damage and -15 damage. Uses sigil of puppetry, hits for -11 damage. Action surges, hits again for -11 damage, killing the elemental. It drops a bowling ball sized heart.
  35. -Sanfire casts erupting earth on Lightning Elemental B, hits for -8 damage.
  36. -Lightning Elemental B casts minor chain lightning, Hati, Sanfire, and Jade are hit for -7 damage. Teleports to Sanfire and Hati, uses volt blast. Hati is hit for -12 damage, Sanfire for -3 damage. Prepares a spell.
  37. -Hati attacks Lightning Elemental B, hits for -32 damage, breaking its concentration. Attacks again, hits for -11 damage.
  38. -Jack dashes to lightning elemental B, attacks, hits for -23 damage. Action surges, attacks again, hits for -7 damage.
  39. -Jade eldritch blasts lightning elemental B, hits for -14 damage and -13 damage, killing it.
  40. -Lightning Elemental casts minor chain lightning, catches Jack for -8 damage, Jade and Hati for -16 damage. Casts volt blast, hits Hati for -6, knocking them out, hits Jack and Sanfire for -3 damage. Prepares a spell.
  41. -Lightning Elemental casts minor chain lightning, Jack, Jade, and Sanfire each take -13 damage. Casts volt blast on Jack, hits Jade and Sanfire; hits Jack for -6 damage, knocks Jade and Sanfire out. Prepares a spell.
  42. -Thrax eldritch blasts lightning elemental C, hits for -8 damage, breaking its concentration. Eldritch blasts lightning elemental D, hits for -6 damage.
  43. -Sanfire is unconscious.
  44. -Hati is unconscious.
  45. -Jack channels divinity, healing Jade and Sanfire for +5 health, and Hati for +10 health. Casts healing word on Jade, healing him for +10 health.
  46. -Jade drinks a health potion, healing for +9 health. Eldritch blasts lightning elemental D, hits for -12 damage and -12 damage.
  47. -Lightning Elemental C uses volt blast on Thrax, hits for -9 damage.
  48. -Lightning Elemental D casts volt blast on Sanfire and Hati, hits Sanfire for -9 damage and Hati for -2 damage.
  49. -Thrax eldritch blasts Lightning Elemental C, hits for -22 damage, breaking its concentration. Second shot is at Lightning Elemental D for -9 damage. Uses sigil of puppetry to attack C for -12 damage.

  51. -Hati takes a potion of greater healing, heals for +20 health Casts hex on Lightning Elemental D.
  52. -Jack casts healing word on Sanfire, healing for +13 health. Fires a bow at Lightning Elemental D, hits for -12 damage, breaking its concentration.

  54. -Lightning Elemental C casts volt blast on Thrax, hits for -7 damage; Thrax casts hellish rebuke, hits for -11 damage. Prepares a spell.

  56. -Thrax eldritch blasts Lightning Elemental C, hits for -7 damage, second shot misses. Cacthes a second wind, heals for +13 health.
  57. -Sanfire casts banishment on Lightning Elemental D, misses.
  58. -Hati attacks Lightning Elemental D, hits for -20 damage. Attacks again, misses.
  59. -Jack fires at Lightning Elemental C, hits for -8 damage, killing it. Casts healing word on Hati, healing for +12 health.
  60. -Jade casts scorching ray on lightning elemental D, hits for -10 damage, -7 damage, and -8 damage.
  61. -Lightning Elemental D casts minor chain lightning on Hati, hits for -17 damage. Teleports away, hitting Hati for -15 damage, knocking them out. Volt blasts Jack, hits for -6 damage.
  62. -Thrax eldritch blasts lightning elemental D, hits for -8 damage and -13 damage, killing it.

  64. Jack casts healing word on Hati, healing them for +10 damage. There's a door to the north, with a hole in it; we go through it and come into the room with the huge globe. There's a chest at the far end of the room, beneath the peephole. It says "One day we will see eye to eye. But to do that you would need to levitate heaven and earth and spin them upon their axis. Until then I shall remain closed."

  66. We decide that some of us will head back and put the rotation beam into the beholder to rotate the globe.

  68. First we go into the lightning elemental room and arrange the lights to form the shadow diagram like we saw in the 8 o'clock room.

  70. Sanfire casts cure wounds on Hati, curing them for +5 health. Sanfire casts dimension door to get past the lightning and takes Jade with him. We use the sending stones to communicate. Sanfire puts rotation into place; it goes straight through the hole bored by demolition. Jack casts mending on the globe, to fix the surface. We get the globe rotated to face the giant eye on the wall above the chest, and the chest opens; there's a javelin of lighting in the chest.

  72. Sanfire goes to the greenhouse for a long rest, and ferries all of us across the lightning safely using dimension door. We all return to the greenhouse for a long rest.

  74. We set up everything to send the petrification beam through the beholder into the earth elemental room. We send Jade to the 8 o'clock room to keep an eye on the chests, he can let us know when/if they open. The rest of us go into the earth elemental room to arrange the lights. Jade lets us know when we get the chest open, and that the lightning chest is already open.

  76. We put slumber into the beholder beam and head to the ice elemental room, arranging the lights until the ice chest opens.
  77.  
  78. We head to the fire elemental room; Sanfire uses dimension door to pull Hati across the magma with him. He and Hati push the lights into position until Jade lets us know that we opened the chest. We head back to the central chamber, turn the armillary sphere so that Jade can get back and rejoin us.
