  1. Lovely Saturday night gaming and chilling.
  2.
  3. Hand derps, coffee cup knocked over and spills all over desk, some dripping through the edge of the glass surface of the desk and dripping straight through the top of my brand new Ryzen build.
  4.
  5. I jump to the power switch like The Flash to the bathroom after developing IBS-D and eating a bucket of KFC and half a cheesecake.
  6.
  7. Fuck the desk and the carpet, it can wait. I didn't notice PC shut off before I reached switch, so I know there is still a sliver of hope.
  8.
  9. Clear the pc from the scene of the accident. All cables out, open pc. Things look dire, coffee hit fan on top and sprayed on top of mobo, several drips went through CPU heatsink and onto gpu/mobo underneath.
  10.
  11. Panic sets in but I have no time, I must operate.
  12.
  13. Anti-static band on. Pack with paper towels where necessary and set it up slightly tilted with a fan on me (California weather means shit's drying quick - not sure if lucky or unlucky..) so no remnants are dripping towards mobo.
  14.
  15. Hands are shaking, mom's spaghetti.
  16.
  17. Remove components, decided to leave mobo in case since the path was pretty clear and I didn't want to risk taking out other components and waiting too long. Dry any drips remaining, searching with bright LED light for every little bit. Then go through with natural hair brush and 99% iso (a life-saver for many things) and wipe down everything super carefully, cleaning the brush every now and then, again looking extremely close with a light. Pull through heatsink fins with papertowels/iso to clean it completely. Apply paste, set back on, make sure all looks good without gpu.
  18.
  19. Test w/ integrated. Power good, fans on, mobo appears to post (throws an error for memory oc - as usual) but nothing on screen.. I wait a tiny bit longer.. Nothing.
  20.
  21. I say fuck it, give gpu one extra check over and clean, and throw it back in.
  22.
  23. Boots to black screen "There is no GOP (Graphics Output Protocol) Detected in this card)" and gives me option for Boot with Default or something else, but no mouse or keeb plugged in to try to choose anything so I just switch it back off. I google the error, find it could be something with secure boot/eufi, and boot up one more time to see what I can do. Suddenly, it boots fast as normal straight to Windows!
  24.
  25. The operation was a shining success.
  26.
  27. No more coffee by the PC.
  28.
  29. TLDR: COFFEE SPILLED INTO PC I WENT MICHAEL DEBAKEY ON THAT BITCH AND BROUGHT IT BACK.
