Background: Jiyeon comes from a well-known family. both her parents being well-known doctors and her brother being well-known youtuber as well as a smart medical student. her family is settled in New York, USA. however, she decided to move back to Korea to pursue her dream as a kpop idol. she always told her mom she wanted to do something different from what her family has been doing; doctors. her family fully supported her passion for dance. but her dad was against the idea of sending her away to Korea, the other side of the world. she somehow managed to convince him. she moved to Korea at her aunt's house at the age of 14. she joined SM through an open audition, however, her parents withdrew her after a year of training because of health issues caused by strict dieting and tight schedule. she then joined 1MILLION Dance studio and is a part of it until now.
