Roleplay - In General
Infinite Gaming is a Roleplay server, not GTA online. The aim is to develop fun and inclusive storylines among the characters that our community bring to the city. We also aim for it to be realistic, things that could reasonably happen in real life. You can be whoever you want to be (within reason), whether you bring yourself into the city to see how you’d react in certain situations or if you want to be someone completely new. All we ask is that you take your fellow “RPers” into consideration and that’s why we have these rules in place.

Unacceptable Roleplay
Although we encourage you to be who you want to be, there are limits:
No roleplaying as terrorists, separatists, intelligence agency members, private military, federal or foreign government employees, or similar avenues of roleplay (individually or in organizations) that would require entities such as the state or federal government to intercede are explicitly forbidden, since those entities are not generally present in the server.
Suicide/Mental disorders - Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is suicide to be roleplayed in this server. If caught, the individual(s) in question will be banned on the spot with no appeal.
Permanent killing of another character - No one other than the person playing the character can choose to kill someone off.
Any racist, homophobic, sexist and any other demeaning words, actions or attitudes will NOT be permitted and will result in a permanent ban.
RDM/VDM - All attempts at another characters life MUST be RPed out and have some kind of dialogue. Random and unexplained attempts at a characters life will be considered FailRP.

Killing off characters
As previously stated, only you can kill off your own character. No one can force your character to permanently die. If you choose to kill off your character, you’ll need to adhere to the following:
You MUST inform and obtain permission from a City Official. They will want to know:
The reason why
Your RP scenario to do it
If you want to bring your character back in the future
If you do not advise the City Officials that you plan on bringing your character back at the time you request killing your character then it is forbidden to bring them back
When you are ready to enact the pre-agreed RP to bring a character back from the dead, you will be required to notify the City Officials
Once it has been confirmed that a character will be killed off and your RP scenario has played out, the character will be wiped. All money, property, jobs, cars etc will be removed and your new character will start from scratch (unless otherwise agreed with the City Officials)
Using memories from a “dead character” will be considered Metagaming.
Admins/City Officials reserve the right to refuse killing a character of or bringing them back from the dead.
In the event you choose to put your character in a coma, you must let the medics know so they can assist you with RPing it out. If you have a government job, you MUST let the boss know.

Metagaming/FailRP
Metagaming in it’s most simple form is using information from outside your RP to affect the outcome. This includes but isn’t limited to:
Information obtained in streams
Events discussed in Discord/DMs
Seeing another players screen - Some community members live together IRL, if they are found to be using what they see on each others screens, they will be subject to the Metagaming rules.
Failing RP is anything that wouldn’t reasonably happen in your characters life/storyline. For example:
Someone RPs restraining your hands so you can’t use them, you can’t then reach for a gun and shoot them
You’ve fallen down a mountain, you wouldn’t just get up and walk away
A car t-bones you in a high speed chase, the car wouldn’t be able to keep going
The best thing to do is ask yourself “Would my character be able to do this IRL?”

If you get into a RP scenario, it must be played out. Killing your character, logging off or forcibly respawning to avoid situations will be considered FailRP. However, if you need to urgently leave the city you will need to find a RP way to notify all the parties involved before leaving.

Discord/DMs
We are aware, no matter what the rules here say, that people will send private in character messages to each other. Some people may set up an entire RP discord server for their business and there are of course the In Character channels in the NRG Gaming Discord. We accept if you want to arrange in city meetings, “email” back and forward etc using this, however, if you are accused of FailRP or you are accusing someone else and you want to use one of these channels as evidence, we will not accept it unless it is in a recognised “email” format.

RP Comms
If you are using any voice comms for RP, be it TeamSpeak or Discord etc, you must speak in game when you are using your “radio” or “bluetooth”. Failure to do so will be considered FailRP. You must also be using the voice channels provided by NRG City.

Multi-Character Rules

The Multi-Character system has been placed in the server on good faith it will not be abused, Forms of abuse include the following.
    1) Using information known to one of your characters on another one of your characters
        Example: You have two characters Billy and Bob, Lets say billy learns about a gun    shipment happening but Bob has not.
        Bob would not know about that information and therefor you could not use that information at all when playing as Bob.
    2) Giving money to someone to then give to your second character.
        Example: MrMallenby playing as Tom gives Rico 10 million to give to MrMallenbys alternate Character LickMySanjeet.
    3)  All of your characters have to be completely separate in all senses of the word and that also means you can not have 2 characters that are in the same job or line of work!


Value for Life
In all RP scenarios, you must VALUE YOUR LIFE. This is largely a grey area, the main thing to remember is that something dangerous is happening then you need to be sensible and not do anything crazy that might result in your character being harmed. This is generally able to be RPed out: listening to cops when they tell you to stay away from an active crime scene, not trying to reach for a weapon when someone already has one to your head. These are just some of many examples. It'll be reviewed on a case by case basis if someone is accused of not "Valuing their life" by the admins/City officials and the majority will rule.

New Life Rule
Any civilian that is “Killed/knocked down” and taken to the hospital instead of being picked up by EMS or PD will not be able to remember what happened to put them there. To give players an opportunity to try and ‘figure out’ what happened, it can be RPed that the local hospital staff have informed you of what the injuries were. For example: someone stabs you - the hospital staff will tell you that you were brought here because you were stabbed, but you won’t know who by or why unless you’re told by another player.

Robberies
To ensure fair play on both sides, we have limitations put in place:
Store robberies - No more than 2 robbers and 2 cops at the scene
Bank robberies - No more than 4 robbers and 4 cops at the scene
Robbers can have 1 get away driver in addition to the above numbers
MUST be positioned at least a block away
Under no circumstances are get away drivers permitted to use a projectile weapon during the RP scenario (from when the robbery starts until caught or the cash is washed/stashed)
Attempts MUST be made to negotiate from both sides before any shots are fired
All participants in any robbery RP MUST have their voices set to “Shout” to maximise the range that you can hear
If PD feels they are needed, additionals can be on standby at least 1 block away from the scene
If shots are fired, PD are permitted to respond as per their SOPs
Hostages are permitted and not included as part of the above numbers
If hostages participate/help the robbers then that will be considered FailRP
Active Scenes
For all active crime scenes, it is the cops job to try and take control of the situation. To ensure the safety of the civilians and medics they will issue orders and expect them to be followed.
If anyone disregards the orders, they MUST follow the "Value for Life" rule
If Medics choose to go into an active scene to revive people:
They must revive the first person they reach in all situations
They must continue and revive all people in the scene
There CANNOT be any bias to who gets revived
Anyone picked up by a medic MUST go to the hospital to receive full medical treatment
Criminals (robbers, shooters, etc) are required to stay at the hospital, to be RPed as being cuffed to a hospital bed, until a cop comes to take them to PD for processing
PD are required to stay at the hospital until cleared by a medic and they are not permitted to rejoin the active scene
Civilians are required to stay until they are cleared by a medic, spoken to by a cop for a witness statement (if this is not given at the hospital, you will be required to go to PD or a BOLO will be issued)
PD are permitted to revive other cops on scene but they MUST RP dragging the revived cop to the medic so they can be taken to the hospital. Once the revived cop is with the medic the cop who did the reviving can return to the active scene, assuming they have not been injured during this process.

Masks/Facecoverings
You may wear a mask or other face covering only when on a Motorcycle or driving a vehicle with no windshield, If you are wearing a mask without it being during one of the previous situations you are susceptible to a search and possible fine.

GSR Tests
PD can carry tests in their belt (alongside their cuffs etc) or in their car, however, it must be RPed with appropriate /me or /do.

Government Vehicles
It is forbidden to steal any government vehicle, whether they are player or NPC, including but not limited to:
Cop cars
Ambulances
Fire Trucks
For the first offense you will be put in prison for 180 minutes, the second time will be a 24 hour ban and the third time will be a permanent ban.

Prison Communication
When arrested, civilians will be permitted one call OR one tweet before they are sent to prison to let the relevant people know and arrange collection once released. Any more than this will be considered FailRP.

DoJ
Judges, DAs and Lawyers are NOT permitted to RP as corrupt in any shape or form.


Criminal Court Proceedings
If a criminal asks for a lawyer, all bail fees (however they choose to pay it) MUST be paid before they leave the Mission Row cell. Anyone coming to bail a criminal out is not permitted to bring a weapon of any kind, they will be subject to search by PD. Criminals are not permitted to pay the bail themselves, someone must come and pay it for them. This must all be completed within 15 minutes. All sections of this must be RPed properly (being given a phone to make the call, handing it back etc).

If another crime is committed by the defendant between bail being paid and the judge reaching a decision on the case, they will receive the jail time and fines from the original charges in addition to the charges they break their bail terms with.

A criminal court hearing date will be set by the judge based on the availability of all parties involved. Once all parties have been informed of the request to take the charges to court, they will have 24 hours to submit to the judge their availability for the coming IRL week.

ALL evidence MUST be submitted for discovery in the appropriate channel of the discord for cross examination, this includes witness lists. All evidence must be submitted at least 24 hours before the court date to allow for all parts of the DoJ to review it.

Plea deals can be offered by the DA or a PD Lt or above, assuming there is no conflict of interest (the criminals blood relations, spouse, partner, boyfriend, girlfriend). A lawyer or the criminal can accept, negotiate or refuse the plea deal as they see fit.

Civil Court proceedings
All civil court cases must be petitioned to the judge by a Lawyer, a civilian cannot request a court date themselves. Petitions must include what’s being disputed and the requested compensation. Civil court cases can include but are not limited to:
Suing for damages to property
Business disagreements
Grievances with PD (instances of unlawful arrests, corruption etc)
Employment disputes (breach of contract, unfair dismissal etc)
ALL evidence MUST be submitted for discovery in the appropriate channel of the discord for cross examination, this includes witness lists. All evidence must be submitted at least 24 hours before the court date to allow for all parts of the DoJ to review it.

The majority of these cases will not require imprisonment but instead require that one party pays the other either what is being asked for by the prosecutor or a reasonable amount decided on by the judge at the time, in the instance where a judge feels jail time may be required an LEO should be present at the request of the judge.

Evidence must include:
What is being disputed?
Witnesses involved
Proof of dispute
Any other evidence relevant to the case

All DoJ rules are subject to change, the community will be notified once it’s approved by the Judge, DA and Lawyers.

Warrants
Warrants are available and can be issued to PD by either a Judge (if/when we have the DOJ) or City Official if a judge is unavailable. Examples of warrants that can be applied for:
Seize and search cars
House search
Business search
Arrest
If a crime is committed and PD do not catch them on scene
If a civilian reports a crime to PD (because they weren’t on duty when it took place or they were unavailable to be on scene)
PD must adhere to the following to apply for a warrant:
Must have probable cause, preferably backed up with a signed witness statement
Each type of warrant must be requested separately, each with it’s own probable cause
If a City Official is being petitioned for a warrant, they must, have another City Official counter-sign the warrant.

Account access
Your account is yours and yours alone. You are responsible if your account is used by another person, and by doing so, you link your identities in our records and may end up getting yourself banned for the other person’s actions as a result. You are likewise responsible if a friend or sibling logs on your computer and somehow gets you banned or otherwise punished. Additionally, you are not allowed to sell, transfer, lend, or share an account with anyone else for any reason, for any amount of time.

Ban Evasion
While you are banned from the game server, the TeamSpeak & Discord server, the forums, etc., you are not allowed to register another account or use an alternate account until the ban period has expired. Otherwise, your other account may also be banned and your original ban extended.

OOC chat/Admin requests
To limit disturbing peoples RP, we are defining what channels are to be used for what:
/ooc is ONLY to be used for simple questions, for example, key bindings, where something is on the GPS etc
/report is to be used if you require an admins attention in the city and it is urgent
ALL other OOC issues are to be dealt with via discord, it is easy to find an admin, our names are all in red and at the top of the user list in the NRG City discord.

Admin Availability
In the event you require an admin, please make sure you are approaching the appropriate person. Please also remember that the majority of the admins are also streamers so they may not respond immediately. If it is urgent, use the /report to request their attention and someone will be with you asap. If there are no admins in city, use the @admin tag and one of us will be there as soon as IRL allows.

Hacking etc
– ScriptHook is disabled on the server. Anyone caught use a bypass will be permanently banned without warning.
– Meta gaming is not permitted (Watching a stream of someone playing and using information to alter in-game play.)
– No arguing with or pestering admins in-server. If you need to contact an admin, use Discord.

CAD
All civilians, including deceased and alternates, must be registered in the CAD system, failure to do so will result in the following:
First offense - PD will hold you, either in prison or their jail cells, until the civilian is registered
Second offense - 24 hour ban
Third offense - Permanent ban
