- Shanghai.EXE Heaven Area Guide
- Remember, if you're confused about the locations of any of the doors or barriers, the map editor is a useful tool. I named all doors and barrier after their constituent parts in the map editor, so it can be handy for helping to get your bearings if you feel lost! Just open MapEditor.exe in your Shanghai folder, then open heavenNet1 or heavenNet2 and you're good to go. I'd recommend not saving any changes you make unless you know what you're doing... also remember to make regular backups of your saves just in case. Remember that in WIP5 and 6, some of the addons in Heaven are capable of corrupting your save, and other, seemingly random save corruptions have been known to happen in the WIP versions of the game. And remember that WIP versions of the game are subject to change, so future changes to the game could conceivably result in inaccuracies in this guide. Have fun in Heaven! ~poe15
- The postgame begins with Alice waking up in her bed, her phone ringing. It's Reisen, who tells us that even though ROM was defeated, the threat of Dark Chips isn't yet over. Shanghai doesn't seem to care, until Reisen mentions that the reward for capturing the so-called "Queen of Darkness"(I wonder if we've seen something about this in the Hospital scene, hmm?)is 2 million Zenny. Suffice it to say, she's motivated now.
- Well, at least this game has no problem with actually giving you rewards. Battle Network will just throw you at a problem and expect you to be a nice guy and stop the bad guys for no reward, and sometimes at your own chagrin. I'm looking at YOU, EnrgChng scenarios...
- But I digress. Alice isn't sure where to begin, but Reisen informs her of rumors of an underworld info broker. Underworld, surely couldn't be related to that spooky Undernet place, huh? She mentions rumors of Heaven and both Alice and Shanghai get to work. Postgame start!
- Well, jack in. You probably figured it out already, but in case you didn't, head to Japan UnderSquare(well, it's one of the two obvious places, anyway). By now you should have a link to here from Shanghai's HP, but in case you don't, you get to walk. Save up for those links, they're pretty useful. Anyway, go to the BBS and read the posts with the title Net Heaven. You already know it now, but head to the very end of Undernet 7.
- This rock looks familiar, huh... Jeez. Kind of unusual that the entrance is one of Tenshi's keystones, but that the area is controlled by... well, you'll find that out soon enough. So anyway, Shanghai finds a big rock and is confused. Alice notes Heaven being connected to a den of iniquity like Undernet being a little unusual... and suddenly the Keystone pulls a Shining Browser Crasher and lets out a flash of blinding light.
- "You who have been marked by another world, enter..." Well, that's not ominous. In any case, apparently we are good to go... for a while, anyway. Enter the portal.
- Cherry blossoms and nice music everywhere. Shanghai wasn't paying attention and Alice is passively miffed. Explore to your heart's content. There are possibly some special doors and barriers you can open here. Consult the related section lower in the guide for information on how to open these barriers and doors, and obtain the reward within. And they are good rewards... well, sometimes they are, at least. As of the time of this writing, some of them are placeholders with no current use, only planned future use... but that might actually be beneficial when it comes to certain minus addons...
- When you're ready, head north from the entrance to encounter another cutscene.
- What's that red stuff? If you've played Star Force before, you probably already know... it's noise, and that's rarely a good thing. It suddenly multiplies and seems to attack the nearby door. Shanghai tries to buster it to no avail. Suddenly a ringing sound occurs accompanied by a flurry of cherry blossoms. A strange object appears, sealing the noise off. Mysterious... and possibly dangerous. Shanghai doesn't like it.
- Head further north to see another door, this one with a question mark on it. "The way shall open to one who searches for answers to any query." It's a passworded door with 5 digits.
- You can skip this next segment involving the Sage if you like by simply skipping ahead in this guide and finding the code for the door. Doing so may net you some amusing dialogue, but you could miss out on some of the quiz rewards, and you can also miss out the Sage's HP+500 Sky Blue-colored addon... permanently. According to SHNecro, you are supposed to be able to still meet the Sage and do his segment after he appears in City Area 3 if you've completed all the other quizzes, which is where he gives you HP+500. But for me, he did not appear after I had already completed all 3 quizzes and I was unable to get it as a result. This could possibly be a bug. I would recommend you do it as it's a useful addon that you may or may not actually be able to attain later if you refrain from doing this scenario... but you can make your own choices. Whatever you choose, continue at the next appropriate place in this guide.
- If you choose to find the code to the door normally, continue here. Shanghai is not amused by the idea of sitting there trying every single number until you find one that works. Alice suggests finding the Sage and Shanghai doesn't disagree. Off you go to Eien Square.
- He's sitting in the same place he was during the main story of the game, in the bottom right. Shanghai asks her question about Heaven, and the Sage yet again proves he knows a lot more then he probably should. Shanghai points out the message on the door was possibly alluding to the Sage. The Sage checks his memory banks and... whoa, he gets covered by a white barrier of sorts and starts floating while some strange music plays. He spouts off some nonsense data with occasional actual words thrown in and... then it stops almost as soon as it began. The Sage says he's allowed to let her in on the secret now.
- Sagey says he's looked into Heaven before as would befit his station, noting that he and the admin have some kind of understanding. Shanghai wants the code, but Sagey says she has to prove herself first. Three of his quiz apprentices have hidden themselves across the world. You'll have to find them all and complete their challenges to get him to give you the code. He will give you a hint for each one.
- Any quizzes you've done before are automatically counted towards completion. If you've completed all 3 quizzes before talking to the sage, you can immediately proceed to the final part of this segment where the Sage himself quizzes you.
- The first clue is... well, I actually don't know because I don't have a save file where I completed the game and somehow didn't complete him. He's that obvious. Anyway it doesn't matter because I know where he is. Head to the 2nd floor classroom hallway of the Genso Town school. He awaits in the bottom right corner.
- 1. Jack In
- 2. Climbing Rock
- 3. Cube
- 4. Rich Adventurer
- 5. ShotGun
- Your reward, aside from progression for entry to Heaven, is RunSoul.
- The second clue is... "slow and steady is about to win the race." Head to Eien Town. Go to the rabbit statue where you can jack in to get to the Lord Usa Statue Comp. Head to the bottom right from there without crossing the street. You'll find your nerdy quizboi there.

- 7. 6.9MB
- 8. Bamboo Shoot
- 9. Wave Hero
- 10. Bamboo
- You will get a SpdRunnr addon for completing this quiz. And completion for entry to Heaven area.
- The final hint is, "To ascend to Heaven, you need to take the stairs." Shanghai bullies the Sage a bit for this annoyance. Well, there's only one place you can get up very high in the game. Head to... Engelles!
- Head into the Clock Tower. In the stairwell on the way to the top you'll find the Quiz King.

- 14. NekoDolphin
- 15. 6
- For winning(or for using a guide)we get a DrkAnchr A. Use from the center panel to attack the entire enemy area, and to crack all their panels.
- Oh, and we're also finally done with the quiz stuff... well, almost. The Sage has another surprise for you. Remember when the Sage said that he had hidden his... apprentices... around the world? That's right... he's the lord of all quizbois around the globe, and you just earned the right to challenge him. What's the prize for answering questions correctly? Why, more questions, of course...! Thanks, Mettaton. Prepare for a whopping 20 question quiz. Or, you know, don't, because I'm going to give you the answers.
- Head back to Eien Square and talk to Sageman. He says he wants to give you the code but can't yet because if he does, a certain airheaded ghost won't let him in Heaven when he dies. Regardless, he says he's got his final test ready for you in City Area 3. Head on over.
- In City Area 3, head to the north corner. There you'll find the Sage who suggests we get this over with already. And with that we begin.

- Your reward for completing the quiz is the HP+500 which I suggested you do this for... and as a bonus, you get a funny little scene regarding the code. This is just like a carefree, airheaded ghost you don't know yet but you probably know who it is by this point anyway if you're familiar with Touhou. Shanghai demands Alice jack her out of sheer frustration and incredulity. The sage is confused when, after his spiel, Shanghai is nowhere to be seen.
- If you're here from the top because you wanted to skip this segment, the code to the door is 12345. Yes. That's right. Our head admin of Heaven is, as Shanghai might put it, an idiot. Jack out and back in for sake of ease and head back to Heaven area via Undernet 7.
- Back in heaven area, head back to the door and input the code. Shanghai needs anger management, but suppresses it for the moment. As she heads in, she remains disappointed by the utter lack of presence of any kind of sentient life whatsoever. But then, speak of the devil... a certain cloaked figure we know all too well, albeit white, arrives. Shanghai addresses it, and it approaches aggressively. Shanghai prepares for a fight, but it appears there's no need, as Youmu appears in a nothing-personnel-kid fashion and slices him up.
- Unfortunately, Youmu doesn't seem to get the fact that Shanghai isn't one of them somehow, and attacks.
- Youmu(Thanks to the google docs guide for attack names):
- Youmu's an interesting fight to be sure... she has two parts, her ghost half and her human half. Her human half will teleport around the field preparing various attacks. Her ghost half will very slowly move around the field. You cannot hurt her human half(but you can inflict her with status effects). You must aim for the ghost half. Beware that the human half can sometimes get in the way of your attacks when trying to hit the ghost, and that the ghost half will gain i-frames a short time after being hit, and will remain this way until it moves.
- Attacks:
- Homing wide slash: Youmu will slash the column you are standing on 2 times with brief pauses between each slash. She will use 3 slashes on higher versions. Move off your current column to avoid the attack. Wait until the attack begins on your column to move, as she can begin an attack on a column you are moving to while you are moving, and this can punish you for moving prematurely. At later versions this attack gets fast enough to combo and can hurt if you get hit on the first slash without some kind of defense.
- Soul-edged power wave: Youmu's human half will grab her ghost half and charge an attack with her sword. Explosions will then proceed forward on each row simultaneously until reaching the end. This attack can be interrupted while she is charging. To avoid the attack after it begins, move into the attack shortly after it begins on a panel in front of you. The attack does not last as long as the animation makes it appear to.
- Counter: Youmu doesn't like it when you use GhostBdy. Do yourself a favor and don't use it. She will hit you with Hakurouken if you do. Your i-frames will not protect you.
- Straight cross attack(Human Sign "Slash of Present"): When aligned with you on a row, she will sometimes disappear and the sound of a sword being drawn will play(or at least probably about as close as a game emulating using 8-bit sounds can make it sound like that). She'll suddenly appear behind you and will hit you twice with a cross slash. Move up or down to dodge. This attack is very fast and can be difficult to dodge. Listen for the sound to dodge instead of using your eyes; human reaction time is faster when reacting to sound, and there do not appear to be any obvious visual cues when she is going to use this attack.
- Soul Reform slash(Spirit "Secret of Life and Death"): When at low HP, Youmu's ghost half will sometimes turn into a monochrome replica of her human half and slash twice, once wide, once long.
- After Shanghai pushes her limits, it still appears Youmu hasn't had enough. Luckily a voice appears out of nowhere telling Youmu to stop. Seems Yuyuko's here, as indicated by Youmu. Yuyuko welcomes Shanghai and Alice to Heaven. Apparently Yuyuko forgot to tell Youmu you were coming. This isn't very surprising coming from our resident carefree airheaded ghost, given a certain password we got shortly ago. Shanghai is not very pleased to say the least.
- In any case, Yuyuko wants to talk with you more about it in her sanctum up ahead. She's also apparently hungry for viruses. Definitely following her canon personality...
- They disappear and Shanghai is as annoyed as ever by how asinine it all is. And they forgot to tell her where the sanctum is.
- Move ahead to Heaven area 2. If you have all the other Link Gates, you can take an immediate right to open a door with a sprite that will open a Link Gate to Heaven 2 in exchange for Zenny for you, but only if you have every other Link Gate in the game that can currently be begotten(Genso, City, Eien, Engelles, and both Undernet squares' Link Gates).
- Take the next right after that and activate the barrier in the way. Alice says there's no other way through. Shanghai's busy in her own head; seems she innately understands something about these barriers? In any case, Yuyuko speaks up, realizing she forgot something. She tries to open the barrier for you, but fails. Seems the noise corrupted the access rights to all the barriers which Yuyuko should have access to. That's noise for you... it seems you're on your own for trying to open it.
- Fortunately, this one isn't TOO rough... the requirements for this barrier are "Wielder of 144 weapons." Basically, get 144 standard chips in your library. If you don't have it by now, it's time to go grinding a bit. Protip: Kumami sells Recov20 * in the shop for 100 zenny. Combine this with the 10x chip trader in the omake room(bottom left warp in Shanghai's room)or in the Eien Town hospital for an easy way to get what you need.
- Cherry blossoms and ringing galore after you open this one. It's pretty normal for this place. Head to the left and go up the staircase. Follow the path to the right and down another staircase. Take a right at the first path until you reach a crossroads near another barrier. You can ignore this one(and all of them if you want to, really)to continue the story if you so please; the way is clear to the sanctum. Just take a left and follow the path up a big staircase; the Sanctum lies just beyond.
- Yuyuko's having a feast amongst all the BS going on. Yuyuko explains how Heaven works most of which we don't get to see. Shanghai is still incredulous at how irresponsible she seems to be. At Yuyuko's behest, Youmu explains what caused this all to begin with.
- Seems it wasn't just a coincidence that those white robed figures seemed so familiar. After being relegated to Heaven area after their subsequent defeat by Shanghai on the Net, they were unable to "move on," as Youmu puts it, being too dense a mass of data, and continued to feast on the souls of those Navis recently departed. Shanghai mocks Youmu who lashes out in anger, but then regains control and continues her explanation. With no less then a hint of mockery herself, Youmu explains that she thought Shanghai, too, was one of them, due to her "weight," or high data density(due to being a Navi half from Beyondard, presumably).
- Yuyuko was able to stop the invasion using her power as administrator, but unfortunately could only seal them away until due time that they could free said Navi souls from the white-robed monsters. Not a very easy task for a normal Navi, but definitely a job for Shanghai.
- Unfortunately, another "invasion" happens after this. A silhouette, presumably Kikuri, appears, warping space and creating the Noise problems Heaven is currently experiencing in addition to the Whiterobe problem. This also undoes the seals placed on the Whiterobes, and they begin to rampage throughout the area again, feasting once again on Navi souls. Unable to handle this issue by themselves, Yuyuko was forced to banish Kikuri. This, however, was a huge strain on Yuyuko's power, and she was forced to rely on Youmu to again imprison the Whiterobes in various areas of Heaven after Kikuri's banishment. During all this, another silhouette(definitely not Mima)frees and runs away with Kikuri. Well, we don't have to assume it's Mima. Yuyuko says it's her directly. Anyway, after all this, queue Shanghai, joining the server. Yuyuko gives Shanghai a dark key, used to open up the(as of the time of writing)currently incomplete Deepnet area where Mima likely resides.
- Now that story time is over, it's time for you to go open those barriers and doors if you want to see the next story segment... trust me, you'll have your work cut out for you. Use the Barriers and Special Doors part of this guide to complete it if you wish.
- Well, for starters, you can trigger the cutscene which will allow you to get Yuyuko by entering Deepnet. In the last version of the game(as of the time of writing), the hollow shell of the highly incomplete Deepnet area is now available. Enter it from Undernet 9. After you do this, Yuyuko will stand in front of the cherry blossom tree in her sanctum, waiting for you to talk to her to trigger the cutscene.
- The tree is blooming. A fruit falls down which Yuyuko absorbs or something, and suddenly her appearance changes. Seems her power has come back to her. She gratefully thanks Alice and Shanghai and makes a final sweep of Heaven to ensure that the area is free of noise and Whiterobes.
- Now that this is complete, Yuyuko will check the Heaven area when you talk with her to see if you've completed destroying the barrier and opening the doors(and hence destroying the Whiterobes contained within). After you've completed this, she will fight you.
- Yuyuko:
- Lots of health. 3000 for V1, so I'd make sure your folder is at least decent. She's sort of fast, moves to random panels quickly with a brief pause between each move(word to the wise, though, not so much of a pause at later versions, she's a flurry of movement). Her MO seems to be to try to fill your area with lots of bullets, which is somewhat familiar to how she typically plays in other games, canon or otherwise.
- Attacks:
- Crash Void: Lays a "mine" of sorts on your field. Don't step on it... it will eventually go away on it's own, but may take a while. If you step on it, your area's panels will become cracked. Trust me when I say that that is a very bad thing when fighting Yuyuko. Though, thankfully, her V1 isn't too bad really; in later versions hitting this thing can guarantee you will eat some hits by virtue of needing to break all your panels just to avoid her attacks. If you hit it while your panels are already cracked, your panels will break.
- Blue Butterfly: Pretty straightforward. Releases a single blue butterfly that moves slowly down a single row.
- Purple Butterfly: Releases 2 butterflies that move differently according to the row she's on. On the top or bottom row, she spawns butterflies on the 2 panels directly in front of her, and they will move diagonally up until reaching the top of the field, then move back down again and repeat until they hit you back column and disappear. When used from the middle, spawns 2 butterflies on her location, one which will move diagonally up and the other diagonally down. Stand on either the middle, or the top or bottom row to avoid depending on their positioning.
- White Soul Blaster: Yuyuko moves to her back column, middle row and charges an attack, and ghostly bullets fly out attacking each row. The timing is tight for moving between these bullets, but workable. She can be interrupted at any time while using this attack.
- For winning, you get 1 of 4 things randomly chosen: 5000 Zenny, 5 BugFrags, 5 FreezeFrags, or 5 ErrorFrags.
- That's it for the guide for now. I'll be adding things as I deem necessary in time.
- Barriers and Special Doors:
- Heaven Area 1:
- SpecialDoor1(middle-bottom-left gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO HOLDS THE KEY
- Solution: Retrieve SecretKey from a BMD in Heaven Area 2(on top of a cherry blossom tree connected by a hidden path near the end of one of the staircases to the 2nd floor of the area)
- Reward: ServingDish(in WIP5) or OrderBook(in WIP7). Key item, also not sure what it's used for. Can you give it to Youmu? Or Shinki? Descriptions: ServingDish: A well-used but otherwise ordinary digital serving dish. OrderBook: A slightly battered ledger of transactions. At the bottom is a very familiar order for rice. Following financial regulations, the payment information is heavily encrypted. Seems it is probably related to Shinki after all...
- SpecialDoor2(middle-bottom-right gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO FEARS NO BEAST, AND HUNTS ALL QUARRY
- Solution: Beat every bounty mission.
- Reward: Salvage Orange addon. An Addon that allows you to choose any possible reward you otherwise get that's at or lower then your current rank. e.g., S means choose any reward that's possible for your current fight. Very useful, but currently a placeholder at the time of writing.
- SpecialDoor3(rightmost gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO TAMES THE WILD SOULS OF FERAL BEASTS
- Solution: Tame at least one copy of every virus in the game using Virus balls and the Virus Manager.
- Reward: Frndship Pink addon. Increases HP of viruses you summon... by how much I'm not sure, I can't open this door. Just heard this from someone who has it. Update: Changes to this addon are planned for the future. Look forward to higher version viruses according to your enemy's level. Enemy version minus 1 for every version you haven't upgraded. (E.G. fighting an SP5 navi with a V1 virus will result in having an EX3 virus for that fight)
- SpecialDoor4(leftmost gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO WIELDS ALL WEAPONS OF THE WORLD
- Solution: Complete your Standard Chip library.
- Reward: CrimDex key item. (Another item I'm a bit uncertain about, but you can probably assume it might be related to CrimsonNoise somehow... or otherwise the random Noise lying about the Heaven area)
- SpecialDoor5(top left gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO UNLOCKS THEIR TOOLS' FULL POTENTIAL
- Solution: Complete your PA library. Check the google docs guide at the bottom f
- Reward: StdChip+ SkyBlue addon. Allows you to fit one more of each chip according to it's MB in your library. So, most importantly(but in addition to the added potential of more chips from other MB amounts), you can now fit 2 of any chip that's 50-99MB in your library. Unfortunately this addon is exorbitantly expensive and not really worth it in my opinion... 14Hz and 8 cores. There is some potential for this to be pretty good, but you will be forced to put on a 3 or more core Minus addon just to equip the thing, and sacrifice much of your other modding potential in the process. At the moment, I would say avoid it, though that's just my own personal preference.
- SpecialDoor6(Bottom gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO OFFERS ALL A HELPING HAND
- Solution: Complete all Requests at the Request Board.
- Reward: TroubleshooterID key item(not sure what this is used for, though. Desc.: A badge which marks its wearer as someone who can be relied upon to get things done)
- SpecialDoor7(top right gate, heaven area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO WANTS FOR NOTHING
- Solution: Acquire 2 million Zenny(not sure if past or present)
- Reward: Mammon Dark addon. A minus addon that makes it cost money to shoot the buster in exchange for the usual additional cores and Hz to use in the Addon manager. Currently a placeholder(future changes to it are planned, also), so it's literally free Cores and Hz right now. Have fun with your free cores... while it lasts, anyway. And at the cost of Salvage being placeholder.
- Barrier1-1(rightmost barrier): OWNER OF THE 27 MARKS OF POWER
- Solution: Have one chip of every single Code(e.g. letter, A, B, C, etc.)including one of * code.
- Reward: Access to SpecialDoor1 and another Barrier.
- Barrier1-2(middle barrier): TAMER OF FEROCIOUS BEASTS
- Solution: Upgrade a tamed Virus to maximum by feeding it the maximum amount of Frags and carry it on you while trying to open this door.
- Reward: Access to SpecialDoor5 and the final Barrier in this area.
- Barrier1-3(leftmost barrier): GUIDE OF LOST SOULS
- Defeat all V2 ghost navi data on the Net, as well as V2 of every friendly character in the game(e.g. Mari and Marisa, etc.) Ghost navi data are area-specific encounters that occur when you enter specific areas of the Net. Check the map editor or the end of this guide for their locations.
- Reward: Access to SpecialDoor4.
- If you're having trouble finding any of these Navis, use the map editor. It's very helpful for things like this.
- Secret Paths: None that I could find in Heaven Area 1... has anybody else found anything?
- Other BMDs:
- 5 FreezeFrags: Facing SpecialDoor3, take a right. It's in the corner of the path, you can't miss it.
- Resist *: In the area that Barrier1-1 covers/covered sits a BMD right atop the tree.
- PMDs:
- Z-Saber O(or O-Saber after the great copyright rollback): Facing SpecialDoor5, take a left. It will be right next to the tree on the path.
- Heaven Area 2:
- SpecialDoor8(bottom-most gate near the entrance to Heaven Area 1): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO BUILDS PATHS TO FAR-OFF LANDS
- Solution: Buy a Link Gate to every other Square in the game that you can access up to this point(Genso, City, Eien, Engelles, and Undernet Japan and Undernet World Squares)
- Reward: Access to a Sprite who will set up a Link Gate to Shanghai's Homepage in exchange for Zenny.
- SpecialDoor9(leftmost gate): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO NURTURES THE BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP
- Solution: Beat the V3 of every allied Navi and NetOp you can challenge to a netbattle.
- Reward: Sword Data key item. You can give this to Youmu at some point after dueling her, I believe, in exchange for a Roukankn Y. Useful if you wanna run an EternalCut folder... or just need the PA for the PA door.
- SpecialDoor10(topmost gate): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO SEES THEIR FOES RETURNED TO DUST
- Solution: Fight and beat every enemy V3 Navi in the game. This requires you to go to their specific ghost navi locations on the Net which trigger these fights if you haven't done so, consult the V2 navi guide near the bottom, or the map editor for help finding said locations. After this their V3 versions have random encounters in various Net areas. Also see the guide also near the bottom for their locations. Or use the map editor... seriously, use the map editor sometimes, it's useful.
- Reward: Mirror Shard key item. A sharp, jagged shard of a shattered mirror. Wonder if it's got something to do with ShanghaiDS...
- SpecialDoor11(rightmost gate, connected by a hidden path which is also the same hidden path to get to the SecretKey BMD): THE WAY SHALL OPEN FOR ONE WHO LEAVES NO STONE UNTURNED
- Solution: Enter every Lotto Code in the game into the Number Trader. See the end of this guide for lotto codes.
- Reward: FrzCore key item. All I'm going to say about this one is, it might have something to do with a certain idiot...
- Barrier2-1(bottom-left gate, first encountered after the entrance): WIELDER OF 144 WEAPONS
- Solution: Find 144 Standard chips for your Standard Library.
- Reward: Access to the larger part of Heaven 2 area.
- Barrier2-2(top-left gate): SEEKER OF FORBIDDEN POWER
- Solution: Have at least one illegal Navi chip.
- Reward: Access to special doors 9 and 10.
- Barrier2-3(top-right gate): MISTRESS OF THE SIX STYLES OF COMBAT
- Solution: Receive each Style type(Fighter, Wing, Doc, Gaia, Witch and Ninja)at least once. You most likely need to actually have had them at least once and not just be offered them.
- Reward: Access to DanmaGun P BMD. (Yuyuko and Youmu's sanctum and the MadMan's secret path can be accessed by taking the path behind the cherry blossom trees opposite the path to this Barrier.)
- Barrier2-4(bottom-right gate, connected by a hidden path which is also used to get the SecretKey): IMMORTAL GIVER OF LIFE
- Solution: Seen Recov20,50,100,150,200,300,500, DarkRecov
- Has HP+50, 100, 200, 300, 500, ChipCure, CRecov AddOns
- Has 9 HalfEnrg, FullEnrg(this also means you need to have obtained all the Sub
- (This all comes direct from the source, this would be a difficult nut to crack otherwise...)
- Reward: Access to SpecialDoor11
- Secret Paths:
- 1. The right corner of the large square at the bottom of the rightmost staircases. Leads to two Sprites that sell wallpapers, and a BMD with EarthPwr N.
- 2. Following the staircase up which was next to the 1st hidden path, follow it all the way up and go straight. This path splits off at some point into a north path and a south path, the north leading to the SecretKey BMD and the south leading to Barrier2-4 and the Hakurokn Y BMD.
- 3. Coming in from Heaven Area 1, keep moving forward until you reach the first large square, and take a left. There should be an invisible path. Follow it to find an AutoChrg addon.
- 4. On the path underneath the staircase where you find the first two Secret Paths, which flows adjacently to said staircase, hug the bottom. There should be an invisible path which will lead you to a PMD containing a RegUp5. You must first clear Barrier2-3 in order to access this path, as it is being blocked until then.
- 5. At the very bottom on the left of the staircase leading up to Youmu and Yuyuko's sanctum, there is a secret path leading you to the MadMan's abode.
- Other BMDs:
- Hakurokn Y: Next to Barrier2-4. Follow noted secret path.
- AutoChrg addon: Follow Secret Path 3.
- DanmaGun P: On the path just before Youmu and Yuyuko's sanctum and after Barrier2-3(it is actually contained within the barrier's containment zone, so you have to destroy the barrier)in the right corner lies a DanmaGun P.
- DanmaGun P(#2): In the area where Barrier2-1(the first one in the area)is/was, take a right and follow the path to the end. There lies the BMD.
- GrasStge *(UtsuhoDS combos here we come): Coming in from Heaven Area 1, head straight and follow the path until the end.
- PMDs:
- RegUp5: See secret path 4.
- MtlAura K: Just between SpecialDoor9 and SpecialDoor10.
- MadMan: See Secret Path 5 for how to reach his location. You must be at 1 HP in order to fight him or he will get angry because he thinks you are mocking him, and will tell you to go away. This can be achieved by fighting viruses with Undersht and taking an otherwise fatal hit, then beating the viruses. Alternatively, use the lottery code in the related section of the guide to obtain DeadBody and then simply equip it. Upon defeating him he drops a book which, upon reading, will give you 1 Zenny, RegUp1, an HPMemory, a BugFrag, a FreezeFrag, an ErrorFrag, and a HertzUp1. The book also contains a Lotto Code which nets you a DeadBody minus addon when entered, forcing your max HP to one(regardless of HP addons), automatically canceling any barriers and maxing out your Hz and Cores in the Addon manager.
- V2 Navi Locations:
- Cirno: Genso Area 2 directly adjacent from the Net Vendor in a dead end.
- Chen: City Area 3 central platform(Jack in from the phone in Central City)
- Medicine: City Area 1, coming from the Square, after the teleport which takes you away from the platform connected to the Square. Take a right into a dead end.
- Pyroman: Coming from the northwest entrance to Eien Area 2, follow the path until you reach a crossways. Take a left and continue to the end of a dead end.
- Murasa: Engelles Area 1. Coming from the northern entrance to Engelles 2, take the closest warp. Murasa is on the southeastern side of platform(not the warp's platform, but the surrounding area).
- Scissorman: Undernet 6. Coming from the entrance to Undernet 4, take the left ramp up and go back down the other ram from there to the next platform. Ignore the nearby ramps and go to a nearby connected platform. He's at the end of the platform.
- Druidman: Undernet 9. From the Error Frag trader, take a right and head past the entrance to the right connecting to the DeepNet. Druidman is in a single tile sticking out just past that on your left.
- Enemy V3 Navi locations(only after finding and beating their v2 counterparts, except for Medicine):
- Cirno: Genso 2 random encounter.
- Medicine: Talk to Yamame in the Lab after Chapter 4 and challenge her. Beat Medicine V2 first.
- Pyroman: Eien 1 random encounter.
- Murasa: Engelles 3 random encounter.
- Scissorman: Undernet 4 random encounter.
- Chen: Undernet 3 random encounter.
- Druidman: Undernet 9 random encounter.
