Bio T2

Brennen Astraea placed the book down upon the table, open to the biology section, and smiled softly before cringing slightly in pain. His arm throbbed as he had shifted to sit down. The task before him would be one he could actually put all his rampant energy towards moving forward, which caused him quite a bit of excitement. He had not enjoyed sitting in the hospital without anything to do. -1

He couldn't train his body at the moment, not past basic things that wouldn't jostle his arm. He would focus between the pages as he read them, taking notes with his free hand, and the other boy at the table, Shinjo. He hadn't met someone who used that style of weapon before and couldn't really figure out how to open communication with him at first.-2

He rolled his shoulders causing another spike in pain from the male. He'd endeavor to learn to tolerate more pain in the future. His mind swapping back and forth from how he'd come to be in this pain and the task at hand. He was surprised at how often his mind strayed. More notes are taken at this moment. He seemed to be making a bit of headway.-3

He'd shift the pages of the book once more, moving forward the chapter as he thought more about how he'd speak with Shinijo. The words upon the page flowing through his mind as much as his own thoughts on other matters. It felt good to be distracted from his own negativity for a while. This was one of the few blessings of school work, how easily one could fall into a rhythm. -4

Brennen was glad once he'd finished his notes. It was a slow process, what with one of his arms being infirmed, but he'd finished the chapter. Once this was completed he'd push the book forward with his hand. He'd smile at Shinijo with a soft kind face. He seemed eager to share. The ability of this book open a large word for those making use of it. -5

reopens his book and turns to a new chapter on Biology with a small smile on his face. He wasn't going to let the day-to-day of life slow him down. He would spot the arrival of Kamahashi and nod to him as well as his eyes briefly rose from the pages of the book before him. He wasn't so enthralled with his own reading he couldn't be social after all.-6

He would shift through page after page with a steady pace. His eyes focusing on each new sentence as it pertained to the subject at hand. He would of course pause now and again to write some notes. He wasn't going to damage the borrowed book, so no highlighting! -7

Brennen would then take a moment to respond to Kamahashi as he finished yet another paragraph in the book he was reading. It was clear he was intending to prepare himself for school, even if the classes and teachers didn't seem to have their acts together as of yet. This only served to assist the Astraea really, who needed more time to heal. -8

"I am doing well Kama, thank you for asking. Say, did you know the mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell? Or that Homosariean and Homosapien physiology is reversed of one another? Like my heart beats on the left side of my body, while Iios's beats on the right! How cool is that!"-9

He asked, with a clear sense of excitement at the knowledge he was acquiring. It was interesting, to say the least. The male would allow his eyes to skim over the last few paragraphs of the chapter of the book he currently read. It was a weighty tome, full of science information. He would not easily fall behind with such a tool at his disposal!-10
